That's not embarrassing for the customer, but to the staff behind the counter. Not the cook! The people taking the orders. Amazing coffee from an artisan roaster hidden away in an enclave of homes. Search this one out as it's truly special, with well curated and beans roasted in-house. It's surprisingly large inside, with warm surroundings and ample seating. Can hardly wait to visit again and so glad we took the extra time to search this out. I had a delicious Cortado, my wife and daughter had lattes that were flavored and I won't judge that but they said they loved them as well. read more

The "Governor's Cup" if you know you know' I grew up here and move pretty far away, once I heard about the soft opening, I couldn't resist making my way down. 2h drive for me is a well worth the pour. I ordered a 16oz 5 shot Vanilla Latte. It's was absolutely delicious with a big pick me up. Shots were flavorful and weren't burnt. The atmosphere and area was very cozy, and perfect spacing will give you enough space to converse without impeding on others. Outside seating during other times of the year look to be really nice with small park next door and a thrift type shop as well. I grew up in Salem and the Governor's Cup was one of my all time favorite coffee spots downtown! So to see this, I know where I'll be at when I come through. Highly recommend this place over any other. The service was absolutely friendly, and as any good cup of coffee it took just the right amount of time to create an amazing flavored cup! Been here for coffee and breakfast 3 times. First time coffee was tepid, next two times asked for extra hot. Both times above tepid but not hot. When I asked the barista about coffee not being hot today, he answered it was as hot as he could make it without scalding the milk. This is the last time, I will give Prismatic my business. The Yelp map is bogus--this coffee shop is in Pringle Village. If you make sure to enter and exit off Lindburg Rd., it's pretty easy to find, but if you wander into the new subdivisions up on the hill, you can get seriously turned around. I was there on a weekday morning, when the residents were at work. On weekends, residents park on the street (no alternative) and congestion can be severe. The shop is in one of the old Fairview warehouses and in terms of charm and atmosphere, this shop cannot be beat, and seating is various and abundant. My mocha was competent, no better than my other favs, and price was in line with the competition. The pastries are from Manna Bakery. Hard to put a finger on it, but maybe not as welcoming for seniors as the Urban Grange. read more

These guys are the best in Salem, truly, truly! My husband and I really care about good quality roasted coffee and these guys nail it. So excited to have them in south salem. We stopped in to Prismatic today (Sunday) and had great coffee in their pretty new space. They were very busy but we were greeted with excellent service, smooth cappuccino and mochas and comfortable seating. They are worth the drive out to the old Fairview property for the experience.
