This tea place offers a ton of unique drink options that I haven't seen elsewhere. I loved the golden milk (a turmeric-based drink) and my friend also got a nice jasmine tea. Ordering is done off tablets to keep things moving, but staff were present to answer any questions. The only downside was how unbearably hot the store was. This is the place to go to for a match latte. The best! And I am very picky. They have a wonderful selection of other drinks too. I'm not into the sweet ones but the family had no complaints. The pumpkin chai was delicious also. Parking sucks but it is well worth the extra effort if you need to park on a side street. Seating is small so not the best place to come and study. They only sell drinks. Hopefully one day they might consider selling little dessert items from a local cupcake business or bakery. Oh and their service is great. Found this little hidden gem in south Salem area by willamette area. Operated by a lovely couple that serves amazing tea and unique ambiance of tea shop. Well crafted quality tea. They have a varieties of tea to choose from also served boba tea. I got the Hong Kong style milk tea with house-made sea salt foam cheese and boba....what can I say?!! I drown this drink within 5 minutes wanting more. It was sooo good. The espresso shot balance everything out. I absolutely loved it. I left the sweetness as it is and it wasn't too sweet which I really enjoyed. I totally recommend this drink for coffee lovers! I came back the next day pear honey tea with goji berries, served hot. This drink was so delightful in the cold weather. Soothing and refreshing, just the right balance of sweetness. If you're in town, give this place a visit! Totally worth it. Don't be thrown off by the five star ratings, the positive feedback is totally warranted. I've gone to Wabi Sabi twice with my brother, and we've each had amazing drinks both times. Reasonably priced, well made, and delicious, the drinks are so amazing! You can tell that so much care and love is put into the making of their tea. They even use pu'er! I was super excited to try this place as everyone I spoke to reported their bubble tea was excellent and unique. I finally decided to go one afternoon. I was first impressed by how warm and thoughtfully decorated this place, though small it is cozy. Not much seating but easy for grab and go I imagine. The first con I want to mention is the service, everyone was rude/ignored me and offered no assistance when I clearly had no idea what I was doing and it was my first time. In 1996, I discovered Taiwanese Pearl Jasmine tea. They came in FIVE grades. First had it from Ten Ren in Flushing, NY, then in San Francisco, CA years later. Now living in Salem, OR for 17 years and having run out of Pearl Jasmine, I discovered that Wabi Sabi carries it! Got an ounce ($23) and upon first opening of the sealed bag, that familiar fragrant and fresh scent overtook my senses! In a beautiful, old friend kind of way. Directions on the bag suggested 3-4 pearls per cup. Follow that. These are extremely fresh pearls in a sealed bag, so you do not need as many as ones that have sat in containers that have been opened many times. The bag is resealable so freshness should last a long time. The taste! Wow! Took me back to when I first had it 28 years ago! Get this! Try it yourself! This tea can be steeped up to three times. It is the ONLY issue I have here because it's a huge menu and the layout on the app is quite confusing, the prices and drink choices seem endless. They have so many options the menu app is a bit hard to navigate. Lucky though the staff are very nice and will help you of you get lost on it. Either way honestly you can't order anything wrong as all the teas are lovely. Maybe just decide if you are looking for hot or cold and then go from there. Really cute new tea spot in Salem and it is really fancy! They also sell premium tea imported so it's pretty interesting! Comes in a huge disk, but it's pretty pricey! Their drink menu is electronic screen which is nice, they had quite a few options to try so we ordered a few. Their tea flavor is very noticeable and not hidden by a ton of sugar boba drinks usually come with, they have levels you can alter which is nice. One drink, their crema and strawberry combo was quite nice and their fruit teas tasted very refreshing. I honestly prefer non powder drinks and Chinese tea type boba places hit different! I have tried a fair number of their drinks and have enjoyed them all. Each beverage is hand crafted when you order, using high quality fresh ingredients. The owners are so kind and knowledgeable. I really enjoy chatting with them, and not just about menu items! If you're unsure what to order, ask for a recommendation. They will not steer you wrong! There are non-tea and non caffeinated options available. My daughter loves the strawberry milk and the chocolate banana. Inside there is a small bar where or some chairs with tables where you can sit and relax, or you can order your drink to go. They also have an online ordering system which makes a grab and go easy! Coming to Salem, I originally thought there was going to be no good tea spots, but I was so incredibly wrong and I'm sad I didn't find it sooner! Wabi Sabi is a definite go-to for me and my friends! They have amazing drinks and atmosphere with good options for alternative milks. My favorite is the Hong Kong milk tea with added tapioca pearls. I also love the option to buy a re-usable cup that you can bring back each visit to reduce plastic waste! They also have cute metal straws for purchase, too!
