Not my hood, but had to make a pit stop here in order to survive the 8pm drive back down to SD w/ my three monkeys. My ever so knowing Droid hooked me up with this Starbucks being the closest to "my location". And like always, she never steers me wrong. :) Typical Starbucks in a quaint strip mall that had a kid running through the spitting fountain in front to cool off in the 95 degree night heat. Inside, UCR kids handling their late night studies, young couples laughing and others just trying to catch up with their favorite reads. Friendly, personable staff who like to conversate. She even gave me an extra, free shot of espresso in my Cafe Americano when she learned how many babies I had (hope I didn't scare her into not having children someday). And not too far from the freeway. Clean bathroom and even next to a Coldstone, and who doesn't like a little ice cream w/ their coffee. This location has officially become my pit stop location for any necessary caffine jolts. read more

The service here is great! The employees all have a very positive attitude and greet each customer. Since this Starbucks is located right next to UCR, there are a lot of students around so it makes finding a seat/table hard at times. The noise level varies depending on how many people are around as well. read more

The service at this location is disappointing. Went today and they made my drink wrong and gave me watery oatmeal, but this isn't the first time. The customer service wasn't great. Usually, this place is a pit stop for me every time I drop off my son at school in the morning and their service and sbux drinks taste pretty legit like most other Starbucks locations. Today, not so much...I always get the sweet vanilla cream cold brew. It has the right amount of sweetness and the right amount of strong ness to what I adore in my coffee. The 2 balances out each other. But this time around it just tasted straight black! Where was the sweet vanilla cream??!! Trust me it may be a small thing to others but coffee addicts like their coffee to be perfected! Especially, to get you going through your day when u get it in the morning! It totally ruined my coffee morning moment. I didn't drink it again after I had tasted it and went to my son's award ceremony. Afterwards, I went to the mall & their was a sbux there. It was embarrassing to ask them but I did! I asked them to fix my drink and I would pay for the charge and THEY TOTALLY FIXED IT FOR FREE! They looked embarrassed that another Starbucks didnt know how to make a sweet vanilla cream cold brew the right way! And there's was BOMB DIGGITY! Just like I like it! This is a very good starbucks, the staff is always friendly and are very good with making my drinks. They always have a good selection of snacks as well and mine have always tasted fresh, even when ordering in the afternoon. I dock them 1 star due to a lack of seating on the inside. It is always very busy with people studying since it is right down the street from UCR. There is a good amount of shaded seating on the outside, which helps with this problem, but not when its very hot or very cold outside. The inside decor is your normal starbucks, and they have a public bathroom which is clean. The outside area is very nice and there is a fountain in the ground that shoots up water in the summer and kids play there. I go there pretty often, but I forget to use my yelp app to check in. read more

Great Starbucks with super friendly staff. They've got my fave drink of all time - Evolution Fresh pineapple coconut water. I don't know how they make this drink so delicious and addicting. Anyway, the one time the coconut water was slightly sour due to the expiration date being the very next day, they unhesitatingly gave me a free bottle on the house. Their internet connection is so slow, I feel like we're back in the 90ies and we are using dial up! Their store is so cold, even when it's cold outside because the AC is really high and they had the nerve to tell me (and others) that the AC is controlled from out of State :////// really??? I love Starbucks I always have. They are quick and efficient and normally have the best customer service which of course keeps people coming back. This location however has the worst employees. I happen to work in the same shopping center and people love this center for the great customer service of all of the stores. There is one girl in particular that is rude and rolls her eyes when taking your order. You can tell that she has no desire to be there or help customers and would rather no one come into the store. I come here often still because I work in the shopping center but I absolutely dread coming in at night knowing that she will be working. The management should take notice of this because it is ruining the reputation of the store and I have even had friends mention the same girl! read more

This Starbucks is amazing!!!. Supervisor Laura and Barista Grayson deserve a n Employee of the Year award, and monetary bonus. I left my laptop and backpack in the coffee store after a mind bending pressurized work experience. Thought I left the backpack on a plane so I was working with the airline to find the items. Meanwhile, my backpack and computer where at the Starbucks shop. My employer disenabled the computer software for safety reasons. So all there was to work with was a hotspot and the welcome page on the laptop. A little over a month after laptop was misplaced, I received a call from Grayson stating I had left my backpack and laptop at the Canyon Crest Starbuck. After alot of effort, Grayson located my employer's name, call my office to let me know Starbucks had held onto my items, and found me when I did return to retrieve the items. First, the effort Grayson put into locate me is amazing. Secondly, Laura's greenlight to Grayson to do what he could to determine the owner of the property is management par excellence. Laura could have instructed the staff to send property to Starbuck's lost and found t o allow Corp to deal with the matter or defer it to a storage room shelf. I appreciate the over the top effort Laura and Grayson exhibited to locate me. They are awesome, and the Starbucks community and anyone else that appreciate old fashion customer service should know about them. They have such a great and helpful staff. I like to stop by whenever I have extra time in the morning, especially since I'm not a morning person. I was interested in trying a iced coffee with milk and one of the empoloyees suggested getting it with cream instead because it's richer and to get hazelnut pumps. This location just freaking sucks! They blast their music so freaking loud, and if it were a mix of music I wouldn't complain half as much but they play the same 10 tracks over and over and over and over and over and ovvvvverrr and you get the point!! It drives regulars here insane!! Many of us have had to go ask them to turn down the volume and they turn it down for 5 minutes then it is back up again! Playing the same damn songs. Furthermore, drinks aren't made with care, they go over with the ice, and the employees have no personality. Robotic service. Was in the area for 3 days and went to this location, I drink a simple Americana and 2 out of the 3 days it was ok. Seemed a little weaker than usual. On the 3rd day I went early, two people in there but it took 10mins to get my coffee! Looked like they were training someone, he looked very confused and they were not really watching him so he was just doing what he thought was right. I just recently moved to the Canyon Crest area and went to this Starbucks this morning to pick up a mobile order before work. I had never done a mobile order before so I wasn't quite sure how it was supposed to work but I know you stand at the pick up side of the counter. I was there for about 10 minutes, long enough for everyone who was in line when I got there to get their orders, but still my name hasn't been called. I got the notification on my phone saying my order was ready so when the barista had a moment I went up to her and asked if my mobile order was ready and said that I don't remember putting my name on the order so I wasn't sure how they were going to call it out. Before I could even finish my sentence the girl rudely interrupted me and said, "I don't know your name." I was taken back! I couldn't believe how much attitude she was giving me! I said my name was Alex and she scrolled her computer and said, "I don't have it" and continued to work on something else. So I told her what my order was, because again, I don't even remember putting my name anywhere when I ordered on my phone, and she rolled her eyes and scrolled through her computer again and said, "you mean Alexandra?" When I said yes, she handed me my order without even looking at me. I used to work at a restaurant and I still work in customer service so I get that you can get easily annoyed with customers and they can put you in a bad mood but this was at 7:45 in the morning, she has the choice to either make or break someone's day and she chose to be rude and give me attitude when I did absolutely nothing to her. This is totally a neighborhood coffee shop, because it is hard to find. If I didn't know it was in here, I probably would have given up and done something else. It is on the outside of the center, near the street. I came at 4pm on a Tuesday and it was packed. I found a chair and it was relatively close to a plug, so I was okay. This was more of a "social" starbucks rather than a working starbucks since they didn't have a lot of plugs. It is pretty small inside, although there is outside seating. read more

This place was great until they started doing mobile orders... Its poorly organized to give mobile orders priority over the in-store orders. I stand there ordering my drink and all of a sudden I see 10 mobile order cups go in front of me. I end up waiting an extra 10-15 minutes for my drink. You can't blame the baristas either because they are all working so hard trying to get everything done. One thing that could be done would be to have one barista making mobile orders only and the other making in-store orders only. The remodeled layout of the store is also pretty terrible. The huge table in the middle just gets in the way of everything. People have nowhere to stand and wait for their drinks without getting in the way of people walking by. We will be going to the Starbucks on the UCR campus from now on.... read more
