Love Starbucks and all are great just this one in particular I had a problem with first I was waiting in line. Literally the next person there and the barista calf on talking to the other coworkers saying that I was next in line took about four minutes before they ask can I help you. not only that I it took them five more minutes to bring on my drink which was an ice coffee. being a gold member I can get a free refill, when I went back to get my free refill they told me sorry that they don't do that @that store location I explained to her that it's never been an issue before. after being rude and not caring about the customer I said ok and left.ive never had a problem at any other location just this one definitely not coming back. I swing by this place a ton when I'm in town visiting family. The location is a nice change from typical strip mall locations in the area and their wifi, like most Starbucks, is fast and reliable. The clientele is friendly and the vibe is overall pretty cool. The only thing that keeps me from giving it a higher rating is that a majority of the staff I've interacted with seem a bit detached. Not dickish or unfriendly (well, a few have been unfriendly) but just...detached from interaction with people. I might expect this in some busier, urban locations in LA proper, but for Riverside, I was a bit surprised, more so as it seems like they likely would get a decent amount of traffic from neighborhood regulars. The Canyon Crest Starbucks has very friendly baristas who always greet us with a smile when we come in for our daily espresso. They all take the time to get to know their customers, giving this location a welcoming ambiance. The inside often gets crowded later in the day, but there is plenty of exterior seating for when we come back in the evening to read. We are also excited to see the return of the Shoes That Fit program which allows customers to give back to the community by donating new shoes for school aged children in need. read more

You don't really know the caliber of the workers at a Starbucks until you watch them get absolutely slammed during frappuccino happy hour. I come to this Starbucks a lot because canyon crest center is just such a nice place to study. I'm not normally a frappuccino drinker, I usually just like my plain Americano with steamed soy which they make well. However! I decided to partake in the frappuccino happy hour twice this week (damn you starbucks marketing machine). The first time I tried the caramel ribbon crunch frap at another location during happy hour and it was AWFUL!! Sloppy presentation (where's the ribbon?), crunchy for all the wrong reasons (not blended well) and watered down! I decided to give it another shot at the Canyon Crest location and these amazing people turned a terrible drink into one of my favorites. Blended to perfection, perfect amount of caramel and I could see the ribbon! I watched the barista team churn out frap after frap with consistently good presentation. None of that sad dollop of whipped cream and a squirt of caramel here! Major props to them for performing so well under the pressure of a frap happy hour. One of the very few starbucks that I've been to that does not really feel like a starbucks, I mean, this one outlet seems more than the globalized capitalistic coffee chain corporate entity that it actually is. Anyone who immersed themselves in the homey ambience of this particular starbucks would recognize that it's just perfect for relaxing and/or studying, dare I say even slightly reminiscent of a local momandpop coffee joint (gasp!). Sometimes it gets crowded, although usually there are tables, chairs and couches to lounge on as soft jazz plays in the background. The staff are very insistent about getting your name and your drink right, and all of the baristas working behind the bar are very professional, warm and welcoming. This is the best Starbucks in the area. I love ordering ahead with my Starbucks app here because it saves SO much time! But if you're going to stay for a coffee it's a good place to meet someone. There are a lot of tables inside, but the outside seating is really the best part. I've had many meetings and coffee dates sitting outside by the water feature. So this Starbucks is always packed! To the point that they constantly run out of baked goods and certain syrups. The drive-thru line is impossible so I use the app to pre-order. Even though I'm not usually into big coffee places, after the loss of coffe roasters around the corner from this location I really changed my mind. Other than the coffee which is awesome here what really makes this place are the folks who work here. This Starbucks basically run like a smaller coffee house. People take the time to get to know you and remember what and how you like your drinks. I used to drive to LA at the crack of dawn and people who worked here always took the time to ask me how school was going and worried when they didn't see me for a few days. read more

I come here almost everyday for my coffee fix or if i need to study. This is certainly my favorite starbucks in the riverside area; the staff is extremely friendly unlike the other establishments. Their always stocked with desserts and snacks and the drinks always come out tasting great. The inside is lacking in the seating department, they need more chairs. 4.5 stars. read more

I was looking for a Starbucks to work at in Riverside and came across this one. It was quite crowded on a Wednesday morning and it looks like most were students. I love that the staff were very friendly, the place itself was tiny but cozy. There are about 4 Starbucks in riverside and I would have to say this one is the best. It's location is much more convenient, there are a great number of restaurants you can dine at in between your study breaks. This location has a large outside location and a larger parking lot compare to the other Starbucks in town. read more

I work at a different Starbucks store, and besides my store, this is my favorite Starbucks in Riverside. It has the vibe of an independent coffee shop but with the trademark Starbucks customer service. The baristas are very kind and willing to go out of their way to serve their customers to the best of their ability. I get my same order as I do at every Starbucks, Grande Vanilla Ice Coffee with Breve, and pick a seat to stay a while. A lot of college students from nearby UCR come here to study so it can be hard to find a seat at times. However, I still highly recommend this Starbucks for a study/meet-up spot. Absolutely best Starbucks in Riverside. For my birthday I received an E-gift card for use at Starbucks, and I brought my iPad with me so I could present the barcode. When I came inside I had no idea that most Starbucks were having a problem with wi-fi so I couldn't access my email inside. The barista offered me and my boyfriend a free drink each on the house. AMAZING SERVICE!!! Everyone that walks through the door is welcomed. And when a customer orders, they again say "hello" and What can I get started for you? Sometimes they forget my name but they remember my drink and bring up something about what we chatted about before. This location is always busy and yet they have time to be personal and always smiling. They only negative is a few employees park directly in front of the location and when it gets busy or no parking, its frustrating when they get off work and get in their cars closest to the door. i love starbucks & their products, but the customer service at this location is really crappy. one of the baristas, jacky, was super lazy and showed no care for her customers. i ordered two waters and rather than filling up my waters, she made her coworker do it (who was already taking care of orders). this made my iced waters take much longer than needed, being that all you have to do is put ice and water in the cups. i heard her say to her coworker, "i don't like doing waters," then walked to the back room. i also overheard her coworker complaining about how much of a mess jacky made the store and how she feels like she is, "the only one working tonight," because she is doing all of the work herself. later in the night, i asked for a refill on my iced coffee. this was 4 hours after i placed the original order. jacky told me that there is a time limit of 2 hours on when you can refill your iced coffee or tea. being that i have been to countless starbucks and gotten refills many times, i knew this was not the truth and she was too lazy to make me my drink. so i decided to call starbucks customer service, and was told that the 2 hour limit is not a policy. i proceeded to ask again for my refill after explaining the information i received. rather than apologizing or claiming she didn't know that it wasn't a policy, she bluntly asked "what do you want." and made my drink. starbucks baristas are usually very kind and helpful, but JACKY definitely was not. i hope the manager takes action on the behavior that she shows to her customers. lastly, bathroom was super dirty and gross. again, lazy workers = horrible customer experience. this starbucks location deserves better! read more
