I've had Yum Yum in North Hollywood and it seems the Riverside location delivers the same delicious quality. This one's located directly across the street from School for the Deaf and in the same parking lot as Target. The donut holes, bagel sandwich, chips, coffee, cappuccino, and cream cheese muffin were extremely delightful. Got handed an order at the counter. The woman who checked me out watched me take the food then yelled across the crowd of customers "THAT'S NOT YOUR FOOD". For the second time in the month and a half, I made the mistake of stopping at this location early in the morning. The last time I was there I ordered ham and cheese croissant w jalapeno & a dozen other glazed donut holes. Today I ordered a dozen donut holes. I don't know how I forgot about my last experience that I wouldhave thought that it would be a good idea for me to stop in this morning. The croissant I got the last time, was basically just a warm sandwich. It didn't have that ooey gooey cheese baked into the middle of it like at EVERY & ANY other donut shop in the city. This was just a croissant cut like a sandwich with ham and cheese. And it wasn't even good. The donut holes the last time compared to this time, is pretty identical. They both feel and taste like they've just been sitting out for a couple of days. They're dry, kind of stiff and leave much to be desired. I was so annoyed when I bit into my donut hole this morning. Not at them, but at myself for not having remembered what I thought about them the last time. I wanted to go back in and ask for my money back but didn't even waste my time. The lousiest service ever! I ordered breakfast for my two kids and 3 fresh juices. I had cash only. $31 and a $100 bill only. My total was $35. The counter girl said she would have to ask someone if they could take it. Then some old ass woman comes up and looks at my fresh bill and then says, "Do you have another one?" No! I started coming here when we moved to the area, the service is usually fast even during the busy times of the day. It's been very clean every time I've visited here, and the donut cabinets have always been relatively full and stocked. The employees are always really nice and helpful, Dora has been working a few times when we've gone and she always goes over and beyond to be helpful and kind. The bagels are great, and the bagel sandwiches are even better. Definitely a good spot for both bagels & donuts. The prices are reasonable, I don't feel like it's much more than any other donut store. read more

This place is usually one of our favorite donut shops. My family comes here relatively often and we know what we like. This time we stopped in to pick up some donut holes really quickly and for some reason the staff decided that they needed to count out BOTH registers at the same time. We weren't in a huge rush, but we did have somewhere we were on our way to. Then they started counting each penny from both registers...it was strange. Why not count one register at a time and keep the line moving? Also, one of the ladies started counting money on the cutting board where food is prepared. As soon as they were done, we paid and left, so I can't say if they cleaned their hands or the surfaces before returning to work, but it's still kinda gross. :/ We will likely return, because as I mentioned earlier, this place is usually great. Poor Covid safety protocols management and/ or owners show little regard for Patrons and employees. These place has poor Covid protocols. There are no controls like marks for social distance, policy to limit number of people inside. Poor marking and signage to help people follow steps to prevent and also for employees to enforce. We came in a few weeks ago and saw not one, but two COCKROACHES crawling on the floor in front of the display case like they owned the place. They had oatmeal, wraps, croissants and fresh squeezed orange juice. I had the ham and cheese croissant sandwich, it was war and crispy on the outside. So good. What really made this location stand out was the great service, even though it was busy we got good prompt service. I asked a lot of questions and they didn't seem bother by that, just answered with a smile. I would give 10 stars if I could!!! This location has the best bagels around. My husband and I made this our regular weekend post run breakfast place while we were dating, and now 17 years and three kids later we are bringing our children. My seven year old loves the fresh green juice and my five year old looks forward to his blue donut. I love the turkey sandwich on a garlic bagel. My husband's favorite is the garlic bagel with chive cream cheese or the cream cheese muffin. We see many regulars here. It is busy in the weekday mornings and weekends, but def worth the wait.
