Why they do mobile ordering at this location makes no sense to me. DON'T expect to order and find a drive through or quick pickup. I frequent Starbucks very often, so when this Reserve Bar opened, I was beyond ecstatic. I've been to the one in Uptown before, but this one is a little closer to me AND the parking situation is better. It's right off Dallas North Tollway, making it super convenient. I come here so much, I have officially lost track and can't remember how many times I've been. It's always busy, and I was only able to find a seat one time. There is a pretty long line I'd say 80% of the time, but once you get to the register, the baristas are so welcoming and knowledgeable. Don't hesitate to ask any questions because they literally know everything about coffee, since they're all Coffee Masters (black aprons). The prices might seem steep, but I believe that it's worth every penny for the quality you are getting! It usually takes a while for drinks to come out, so don't plan on coming here if you're on a time crunch. I order the nitro cold brew float every time I'm here, but most times I also order a second drink to take home, and that varies. So far, I've tried the vanilla creme anglaise macchiato, juniper latte, hazelnut bianco latte, cold brew, dark chocolate mocha, and the cold brew malt. All were good except the juniper latte, which I wouldn't recommend unless you like the taste of trees lolol. The cups that the iced drinks come in are so pretty! Now I have a rapidly growing collection of these nice, sturdy, reusable cups at my house. This place is almost perfect, but I had to dock one star due to the long wait and noise level. I personally could never study in here, and I sometimes wonder how people can even focus with all the commotion and foot traffic. Despite the wait and noise, I would recommend anyone who loves coffee to give Starbucks Reserve a try because it's such a different feel, plus there are special drinks that you can't get at normal Starbucks! It's also for the adventurous coffee aficionado who's looking for somewhere upscale that used premium beans. My goal is to ultimately try every single drink on the menu! I will never forget that time I had the rose honey latte. It was just today, but still, I know I will never forget it (I hope). It is now my favorite Starbucks drink. It was incredible. I've never been the hugest fan of Starbucks, but because of this drink, I am open to trying the other selections that Starbucks Reserve has to offer. I came here to buy my niece a cup of coffee and ended up with a siphon experience. She and I sat and our barista, Jasselle, came over to take our order. She wasn't just an ordinary barista but also explained step by step process. It was quite an experience. Most of the time, the baristas make the coffee and that's all. Jasselle was very knowledgeable and made the experience that much better. My niece enjoyed the coffee black because it was so smooth. It was her first time at the reserve. First time being at a Starbucks Reserve location. It's a different vibe compared to regular Starbucks with bar seating, no music, and your coffee served in a glass if you opt to sit in. Different drinks to offer, like nitros, affogatos and so on not available on the regular Starbucks menu, and presentation is nice. It has an upscale feeling but there's still table and couches available for studying and reading. I'm a fan of the to-go cups. read more

The Starbucks Reserve is really one of the most beautiful Starbucks I've ever been in. Larger, nicer, softer seats - this place is made for hanging out and having a great conversation. I'm a huge fan of the Starbuck's Reserve locations. This new Plano location has a nice atmosphere with a more upscale feel than the normal Starbuck's shops. It's not as fancy as the Uptown Dallas location, but it is close. Although the Reserve location prices are higher, it's worth the price in my opinion. For example, the Reserve Latte flavor is a lot richer than the regular Café Latte flavor. Even a simple Black Reserve Coffee has so much more enhanced flavors and aromas than the regular Black Coffee at a Starbuck's. I'm a huge fan and I will continue to go. Especially since I get to have the sleek, black to-go cups. The only thing they need to do is to improve on the customer service. Some of the Baristas seem to be a bit unfriendly and snobbish. I'm not one for fast-food coffee, and that includes Starbucks. They serve their place in this world, but it's generally not a place for me. But I had never encountered a Starbucks Reserve. Totally different vibe, with nicer seating, better lighting and a selection of truly top-notch small-lot coffees, each offered in a selection of brew methods from pour overs, the Clover system, to Chemex to Nitro cold brew. I opted for a flight ($10) that included three 8 oz selections (Jamaican Blue Mtn, Guatemalan Yaxbatz Estate and Ethiopian Haile Estate) served in insulated pots, a fresh (warm) mug for each and a side of Pellegrino to cleanse the palate between brews. All very well done. If you happen upon one of these locations, be sure to check it out, but if you're looking for your mocha-turtle caramel frappacino thing or whatever, you won't find it here. read more

Decided to try this Starbucks reserve during thanksgiving time. It was pretty packed with businessmen, students, and families. They have their own menu that's different from regular Starbucks shops. I decided to try the hazelnut bianco latte and we also got a chocolate chip muffin. The latte was pricier than normal Starbucks drinks. They served it quite elegantly in a plate with a small glass of Perrier to cleanse the palate afterwards. The latte was great! I was sitting there and talking to my family about nitro brews and the barista overheard us and offered us a sample. I'd never had it before so that was cool to try it out! Overall, the vibe I got from the place was a hipster upscale Starbucks. The service was fantastic and the drinks were good. It is, however, pricier than normal! After lunch today, we checked in the newly opened Starbucks Reserve Legacy West. This is their second location in Texas. The first one is in uptown Dallas, at McKinney & Olive Tower in Dallas, Texas. My son ordered Cold Brew Malt from Starbucks Reserve Counter and I ordered Caramel Macchiato hot. The Macchiato starts w/steamed milk that's being continuously steam until it reaches its smoothness to bring out the milk's natural sweetness until it's topped by a dense, creamy foam. Then, a reach espresso is poured over through the milk creamy foam where it mixes w/milk that creates a brown mark on top. The Barista's final touch in their work of art signs a crosshatch of sweet caramel sauce. Cold Brew Malt is an ultra thick spindle-blended milk shake with the Roastery's own small lot cold brew and Mora's locally-made vanilla ice cream and bourbon barrel aged bitters. Mora Iced Creamery is a nationally recognized and acclaimed Bainbridge ice cream maker with more than ten yrs making ice cream, using an artisanal process for uniquely modern flavors, making Mora the perfect partner for this new drink. First things first, this is not just any old Starbucks coffee shop. This is a Starbucks Reserve Bar... google it we go out of our way to go here. My husband likes trying new coffee. This is our second time to this location and we have yet to be disappointed. The bathrooms, there are 2 unisex bathrooms. So you may have a small line. But, the line moved fairly quick. My husband ordered a flight and a siphoned coffee and a bag of coffee. He waited inside and watched the baristas put together his order. He was like a kid in a candy store watching them make his drink. Once we all had our drinks we sat outside in the side patio area. It is a small area, I do wish it was larger but, they may not be able to make it large since they have to follow rules for Legacy West where they are. The drinks were made quickly and brought to us. This Starbucks Reserve is the cutest. Usually crowded due to being around the center of the Legacy West strip, they still get your orders out pretty quickly. The interior is quite beautiful and yet calming and comfy at the same time. Plenty of outlets and room to sit or bring your laptop. On a good Sunday day, you can definitely chill outside on their benches and enjoy people-watching lol. I tried their Hazelnut Bianco Latte which is one of the menu for Reserve drinks. Good smooth coffee for the day time or something sweet in the morning for extra sugar pick-me-up. Will be back to try more drinks. As a big fan of the Reserve in Downtown Dallas, I was excited to hear another location had opened in the DFW area. They have the same Reserve drinks in sturdy reusable cups including my favorite -- the affogato (coffee with vanilla ice cream!). Reserve locations can also make any of the drinks you find at a typical Starbucks. During my first visit, the store was packed -- many of the seats were filled (there's one big shared table, a couple of small tables, and bar seating) and there was a line to order. Although I could find a seat at the bar, I opted to sit outside given the stuffiness of the store with that many people inside. I really like their patio area. There are many tables outside with large shading umbrellas. I was even able to find a table near an outlet. Score! Summary: drink 5/5, ambiance 3/5, service 5/5. read more

I believe there was a management change and what once was a more upscale experience has turned into any old regular Starbucks store experience. The customer focused priority has dropped dramatically since my review. I mentioned that folks from out of town could sit and enjoy a special coffee experience but I now would caution and prepare them for disappointment if they're expecting anything beyond a regular Starbucks experience. Just happened to walk by on their grand opening day on 9/21! A Starbucks Reserve serves specialty coffees not found in regular Starbucks and it is definitely an experience. If you want your grab and go, you probably want to go to the Shops at Legacy Starbucks, but if you have time to peruse a menu, talk to baristas about types of reserve coffees, and sit and sip, then this is the place for you. There wasn't a huge line, probably because no one knew it was open yet. Every staff member was super friendly and helpful in answering all our questions and going over the menu. They have affogatos here! Yum! I got the cold brew malt, which is basically a caffeine-loaded milkshake in a really cute to-go cup. If you get a cold drink to go, you get a cute little plastic reserve cup - almost like a souvenir. There are small tables and chairs inside and what looks like teak wood benches outside. The whole experience is upscale and just watching the $26,000 Black Eagle espresso machine is amazing. Drinks here run around $6, and go all the way up to $9, so for cheap coffee, go elsewhere. The dark chocolate mocha my friend got was unlike any other and was so smooth and creamy. It's located closer to North Italia, but across the from them. I waited 20 minutes for a coffee today, the guy drops half my coffee before handing it to me as well. I said something and got a look of disgust so I walked out. Cool place but have been here 3 separate visits over the last two months and they seem to be short-staffed and unorganized every time. Not your normal Starbucks (in a good way). It's a very labor intensive process for the different offerings and you should expect to wait and just enjoy the "experience". However, there's waiting patiently and then there's waiting indefinitely while other people who come in after you order and then receive their orders from the Reserve Bar and yours is forgotten. Again just disorganized and understaffed. But at least they're nice about it. So more stars for that reason. read more
