This was your typical Starbucks experience. Great service and the Gingerbread Soy Latte was fantastic. I pop into this location about one every couple of months and they are always cheerful. It is rarely crowded and I've never had much of a wait. It's convenient to me and nestled in a strip mall with Tom Thumb as the anchor. There is indoor and outdoor seating and they have happy hour too. I would recommend this location to anyone in the Mckinney area. read more

This is such a great location! It's in the Tom Thumb parking lot at the Southeast corner of El Dorado and Hardin next to Baskin Robbins. It's not a big location inside but there's definitely room to sit down and spend some time if you need to. What I was really impressed by was how quick the staff was to get the drinks out, when I walked in there was a huge line but it went down quickly and everyone had their drinks in a matter of minutes. I really don't know how that happened, I believe some of them might be wizards. Supernatural or not, the drinks were delicious (and EXACTLY what my picky self had ordered) and didn't take any time at all. This is definitely my new go-to location in the McKinney area! read more

I waited 20 minutes for my drink on Friday, through no fault of the barista or the cashier, both of whom were working their butts off AND managed to stay friendly and upbeat. I actually felt sorry for the barista as he ripped off an 8-foot ticker tape of labels for waiting orders, all under the watchful eyes of desperate, caffeine-deprived customers. i come to this starbucks often cause it's close to my house, and recently my experience went from pretty good to very disappointing. i don't mind when someone messes up my order as long as you actually try to fix it, but the same girl messed up my exact same drink the exact same way twice in a row! the second time i had to go back in and ask for it to be fixed and the girl was so rude about it. she then proceeded to remake my drink without asking about any specifications first so she CLEARLY didn't care what she was doing. i corrected her and THEN she asked to see the sticker to see what it actually was. i'm definitely going to avoid coming back here. these drinks are TOO EXPENSIVE to not care when a mistake was made. read more

I really debated on making this review, because I hate to say one employee ruins the store for the rest of the employees. I am daily Starbucks drinker here in Arlington. I am house sitting in Mckinney for family and this was the closest one to the house, which as I said I go daily so I needed to find one asap! The first few times I went great friendly service, drink delicious and perfect!! Clean restroom...clean tables... I went in this past Friday to an unfriendly employee that I hadn't seen before. I can't remember her name but she was shorter, dark hair with blue streaks in it....started with an A (I think) not exactly sure because I was just so taken back by how rude she was while I gave my rather long but not ridiculous order...it was like I was putting her out to take my order. But what really upset me enough to make this review is the fact that I left counter to wait for drink and I turned around to se if I had left anything and I saw her roll her eyes while giving my marked cup to the the barista..... seriously?? I was embarrassed too because other customers in line saw it too. This kind of treatment from an employee is not what I pay $5+ for a drink for....I would rather drive back to arlington than ever go back to this starbucks because if Im never treated that way again will be too soon!! It really sucks to have to be so negative about this store because everyone thus far had been nothing but pleasant, but this employee just ruined my whole day and beyond. I know we all have bad days but dont bring them to work and take it out on customers. On the good side, the barista made my drink perfect. read more

If I could give no stars I would. Ordered iced macchiato with coconut milk. Well I received a coconut milk with maybe a splash of coffee. Terrible. Had to make my own coffee at to add to it. Oatmeal is like cement. Had to add some of my coconut milk coffee to it to make it edible. What happened to this Starbucks all the regular baristas aren't there anymore. All new and they need training. This is the 2nd time the coffee and food sucked. Will be going to a Starbucks further away for better coffee and food. Sad. Get the other baristas back. read more

This is truly one of the best Starbucks in the Metroplex (and definitely the best in McKinney). The gals here are always supremely friendly & helpful, I've never once been made to feel 'high-maintenance' when I tack on things to my drink order (that I honestly think DO make me high maintenance, but Starbucks offers so many great customization options, I'm finally learning to take advantage). This is a very clean store & it always seems quiet in here- like this is the Starbucks that attracts the more mature, respectful crowd, less prone to loud conversations. They have pretty flowers outside by their nice patio- a very welcoming sight. It's easy to just take all Starbucks for granted as they have become so ubiquitous (and are generally nice places with nice people), so it's rare for a particular store to make such an impression.
