I really want to like this location... but every time I go there, I regret it. The customer service is lousy. They actually made me cry once, due to their absolute lack of caring. I ordered a sandwich and a drink. They never called out when my drink was ready; I eventually wandered back there wondering if it had been made yet (it had taken forever) and it was just sitting there. I mentioned I was also waiting on a sandwich, they asked what kind, I told them, and then they said they don't have any of those left. Would've been nice to know when I ordered - I actually would've just gone to a different Starbucks for my drink too. And then they thought the convo was done. Um hello, I expect a refund for the sandwich I paid for. Besides that particular incident, they just have lousy customer service in general. They are not kind; and they seem annoyed to have customers. Additionally, the layout of this Starbucks is annoying. You have to pick up your drink in the farthest back corner. That's a pain, but even more of a pain since you can't see the counter from any of the waiting places and they don't call out your name or drink so you can know it's ready. read more

Other than the typical Starbucks fare, make sure to get outside of the actual location. There is a wonderful patio area just outside that is shared with a restaurant in the same structure. Don't be afraid to sit down, this is a shared space with plenty of shade available. It was quite pleasant to sit down and enjoy my coffee for about an hour. read more

Every weekend that I come here this location is always backed up and understaffed. I always do mobile orders but they are usually behind on those as well. The staff on weekends has a little bit of an attitude but I think it's due to their stress of not being staffed correctly. I never have issues getting my order on weekdays and the staff is friendly on those days. The store manager really needs to look at staff loading on weekends to improve both customer experience and staff moral. Just a thought. read more

Went in and was asked what I wanted mind you the guy is just saying okay but not putting the order in as I'm telling him what I want , I pay then my drinks are made the lady making the drinks has no emotion at all she straight faced rude voice when calling out the drinks. I notice when the drinks are done there is 4 drinks when I only ordered 3 and I told her, all she said was "ok" and walked away, didn't even care. The guy refunded me and told me "I repeated you order, you didn't hear me" he never repeated my order and I clearly said 3 drinks. Tucked away in the corner of the strip mall is this Sbux. The baistas are nice, but in this visit, the customers were annoying. Had a family with 2 brats who didn't know what to get. The kid kept screaming he was thirsty (duh!) and the adults couldn't calm down the kid. I know its not Sbux's fault, but it made my head hurt and the caffeine didn't solve it. -1 for a bad experience, but overall +4 for a decent iced tea lemonade. read more

If a you don't like people asking you questions about the food you are preparing for them you shouldn't be working here. I simply asked if they used decaf because I get bad reactions to caffeine and and wanted to be sure. The short guy with black hair and glasses (working at 10am on 9/11) was extremely rude when he answered. Sorry I didn't get his name. He acted as if I was bothering him for being there. And I would like to note there was only one other customer there. He was not too busy to answer. He then threw a straw at me. I asked nicely. I stayed calm even thou he treated me this way. Again , if you're not a people person, or don't know how show respect to others then you should not be working in an environment where you have to deal with the public all day. The coffee was good thank you for that. But the behavior of the worker was uncalled for and unprofessional. It cost nothing to be kind and considerate of others. read more

One of the better Starbucks I've been too! I stopped by during the usual rush hour and it busy but it moved very quickly. I asked the cashier (rylee I think?) for her suggestion on an iced coffee. She recommended a vanilla sweet cream cold brew and it was seriously one of the best coffees I've had from Starbucks . I also ordered one of their chicken caprese paninis which i tend to shy away from at other locations because they tend to overlook them, but it came out perfect. I've been to a lot of Starbucks and I'm not sure what's going on with this one. Usually the energy is high, names are yelled, drinks are flying around... Here it felt like we were at nap time with only 3 employees on a Sunday morning. The guy finally remembered to yell some names after I watched 10 people in front of me. So bizarre. Drink some caffeine kids! Side note. All the breakfast sandwiches should not have to be made by the one cashier on duty. Another employee is necessary here. This is the closest Starbucks to my house and THANK GOODNESS because I always receive great service when I'm in here. I went in tonight and got a triple grande hot skinny peppermint mocha with extra foam and Kelly made it wonderfully, perfect ratio of milk to foam. He was also a delight to speak with! Drink quality is consistently three stars and service is five, hence the four star rating. They really live by the Starbucks motto of creating inspired moments and as a fellow barista I take notice. I'm no junkie so I don't go to Starbucks religiously like some people, but for sure this is 1 of the smallest Starbucks around. 12 seats outside, maybe 12 more inside and the bathrooms are right where people wait for their drinks. Tiny tiny tiny, service is ok, nothing spectacular, but the walls are packed with merchandise. I've seen people lined all open space, so if your claustrophobic go to the Vons nearby and they have a Starbucks kiosk in the front of the store. Oh a grow up people if your getting more than a caffeinated drink here, your addicted to the place, so you shouldn't be spending more than a few dollars so that 2nd $ on yelp is inaccurate. Don't try and fool the public into your addictions. Anyone can spend anything anywhere, but lets leave those to compare and for the normal user. read more

However there is an excellent Juice shop right around the corner called JB Juice were you can get a way better Frappicino. And why oh why did they raise there price on there ice teas about 5 years ago?! It was the one value item on the menu.. Customer service is like a, miss, miss, hit. There are nice service oriented employees but there is an even more handful of moody snobbish ones. But then again they also get a ton of moody snobbish patrons to. Have watched more than once, patrons complaining and arguing with the staff over silly things, like once this lady couldn't understand her receipt that included a few drinks and a gift card and payment. And the employee explained it like 5 times, that as an onlooker I even understood it, but the patron was arguing tooth and nail over pennies. Between the employees and patrons I usually just want to get out of this place after entering. Not to mention the CEO of Starbucks has grown increasingly obscure in his political social involvement, with the latest being, asking employees to start "racial discussion". I think I'm just over Starbucks and would really like to see some other options out there. read more

I recently moved to Oceanside, and found this Starbucks across the street from my neighborhood one day when I was driving in the strip mall. I am addicted to Starbucks, so I was very happy! This location is tucked behind some of the stores, and you have to drive all the way in to the mall to find it. I hate when there is a long line, so I am kind of happy it is hidden. Means shorter lines ;) I typically order an iced nonfat chai tea latte, and they always get it right on. My husband likes caramel macchiatos, and the new orange Valencia refreshers. He says they are always pretty good at this location. My kids frequent frappachinos, and they are never wrong or taste bad! The baristas at this location are always nice. Even when there are bratty little kids standing there screaming at them, which there seems to be a lot of for some reason. The establishment is always clean and accommodating. I will continue to frequent this location as long as I live here! read more

My wife is from Seattle, and is a big time coffee person. We always go out and get coffee and this was our first time at this location. Most of the time the starbucks employees are super happy. Well this place they were not. The woman who was taking our order was old. Really rare for Starbucks, they usually have somewhat attractive, younger ladies that work there. She didn't understand my wifes order. My wife kind of looked at her with disgust because it was a very simple drink. She was rude as well. The Baristas were fast and they knew what they were doing. Sometimes people burn the shot, but not here! If it wasn't for the mean of lady taking orders they would have gotten more stars. Cheers! read more

By far the worst Starbucks the wife and I have ever been too. None of the employees knew how to talk loud enough for any customers to hear them, they didnt put anyone's names on their drinks, and just put all the drinks at the counter and whispered what they were. It was mass confusion and several people received the wrong drinks and the employees had to remake them. It was pure chaos. I had a birthday drink today and who wouldn't go crazy.. So I ordered something my friend recommended. As the barista was fixing up my drink, a rude worker named Seth called out the drink. He claimed "I'm not gonna lie and say oh that drink sounds Delicious!" At least the cashier stuck up for me and said that I can hear him. The service here was rude. I worked in a coffee shop for nearly 5 years. I know how much it can suck, but guess what, you pull it together and smile. The cashier was fine, but the girl who passed us our drinks had a major attitude and it was clear that we were her last drinks before her break. Thankfully, I don't live in Oceanside, so I don't have to deal with this again. Iced coffee requires no thought. I don't expect anything really and I'll probably still tip.
