Just particularly here in Milpitas they rebranded it. I think they're trying to put more focus on their signature toasts, not just their drinks. Pretty much everything else is almost the same in terms of foods, drinks, atmosphere, services, etc. One thing I like about it is how slightly cheaper it is to get coffee here compared my last visit. Most drinks now starts at $5 (+$1 for large size) instead of $6.50 I think. It makes it more convenient if people want to save money and not consume too much. Though I do want to try their toasts in the future. I need to go over what type of toasts they have.

If you're staying in, you can borrow their cups for free, but for to-go you need to bring your own vessel or pay a $2 deposit on one of their jars, refunded when you return it. I get the idea, and it's nice for the planet, but in practice it's a hassle. When I brought my jar back on this visit, the staff member inspected every inch of it, then discussed it with a coworker right in front of me, who then said something along the lines of "we can't sell that, but it's okay, just take it." It wasn't said to me directly, but I was standing right there, and it felt uncomfortable. I'd run the jar through the dishwasher, nothing unusual, and friends who came in afterward returned theirs the same way with no issue at all. They also didn't apply the discount for bringing my own vessel until I asked. Between the pushback on the return and having to ask for the discount, it was a frustrating experience. Honestly, I'd rather a café just use compostable paper cups. Great drinks, but I'm on the fence about coming back.

Perhaps a bit more attention to ensuring the wrap's moisture could elevate this breakfast option. As for the Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino, it was a bit too sweet for my taste. Next time, I'll consider requesting fewer pumps of syrup to strike a better balance. I have 3 locations that know me by name and this location is the best. If it were not for RAMINA, JAMES, or MARK I would have to choose a different location. RAMINA (aka my sons GF) is so overly friendly to my son Darius and means the world to me. Couldn't ask for someone more nicer. To bad my son is not 16 year older. :) James (aka Mr. Good Wood) is most personable SB employee I've come across. Lastly Mark, the one I've known the longes and the one that has my drink ready before I have a chance to pay and the one that brings me my breakfast sandswitch. It the little hard working details that make a difference. He seems to think I'm too skinny because he like to add whip. I strongly believe that if the barista is in a good mood (friendly) it makes the coffee taste better. A few other PI's I forgot to name, but those three stand out the most. I stopped by this Starbucks to quickly use the restroom, planning to order right after -- but no one was even at the counter to take my order. I waited, looked around, and when I asked to use the restroom, they still refused, saying it's for paying customers only. It's frustrating because I wanted to make a purchase, but how can I if there's literally no one available to take an order? I understand policy, but a little common sense and courtesy go a long way. I know before was only oat milk option and now they've added almond milk. The drinks are not overly sweet like other boba places where you give them a sweet level. I enjoy their matcha but wasn't a fan of their ube coffee. Overall, I think it's good and when my friends visit from out of town it's easy to settle on this place because the kids enjoy the variety.
