\Typical Starbucks set up with friendly staff. I haven't ever had any issues getting exactly what I wanted and if it wasn't to my exact liking they remake it with a smile. It is a convenient location for the area and a great stop if you need a break from the nearby highway, and don't want gas station coffee that's been cooking on a burner for who knows how long. Wish I could give this location a zero. The woman working the window (Rachel or Raquel) was so rude when I told her the drink wasn't made correctly, but She remade it . Before she asked for the drink back I had told my husband to offer it back because I assumed that so many people probably state that their drink is made incorrectly to get a free drink. Ordered a Venti iced coffee; sweetened without any cream or dairy. They didn't not stir the drink so all of the classic syrup was on the bottom of the cup. No problem, I'll stir it myself. I asked for a straw and the straw was broken. My husband went to get his birthday drink and grabbed me something too. He decided to get what I was getting (iced coconutmilk mocha macchiato) but had never had the drink before. The drinks were made with cold foam and were only 2/3 full. He went back inside and Caesar said this is what happens with cold foam. The drinks were made again with cold foam. My husband gets home and tells me about it. These drinks do not even have cold foam in them. Do not go to this location. This is about this specific location. Every single time I've came here recently which is about 4-5 times my drinks are completely melted. I have a feeling they are giving out drinks that have been sitting on the counter for a HOT minute. Because there is absolutely no way my drinks are consistently fully melted right as I receive them. I have been keeping a close eye on this Starbucks location for the last few weeks because I couldn't wait until it opened. I'm always excited to see what a new Starbucks will have to offer, how the lobby will be organized, etc. Finally, I was able to see for myself last week when they had their grand opening. The lobby is very spacious and definitely has a similar look to the new location on Rancho Vista Blvd in Palmdale. There is a bar you can sit at which is a pretty cool addition to the average lobby set-up here in the AV. They offer a wide selection of coffee and merchandise much like the others in town. It wasn't very crowded when I went but it won't be long before it is. I believe a lot of people at the time weren't aware that it was actually open. The baristas were very nice and engaged deeply with the customers, thoroughly explaining their products and what they had to offer. I ordered a Mocha Frappuccino which tasted a little different than what I am accustomed to. I observed another patron getting their drink remade. I'm assuming they have a few kinks to work out where the drinks are concerned but this is to be expected with a new location. Overall, I was really impressed with this Starbucks. While some may question why this location was necessary due to there being one on K and 20th, I for one am very glad it's here. K and 20th has rapidly been going downhill for years, this will be my go to Starbucks from now on when I'm in the area. read more
