Shopping in Enchanted Lakes, Kailua, Oahu, Hawaii... I had a meeting next door to this Starbucks. I was going to get a drink, but I was distracted by the merchandise on sale! Some items were 30% off the retail price! Wow! I went through several shelves of tumblers and mugs until I found the perfect gift! Service was ok... The cozy, L-shaped shop was quite busy. Customers were sitting at tables while others were standing and waiting for their orders. The cashier was efficient... He gave me a package for my purchase... Thank you! My favorite color is purple... Anyone who knows me...I love Matcha! Here comes Spring and what does Starbucks do? Iced Lavender Cream Oatmilk Matcha the pairing of two beautiful colors so you know I had to try it and since I was in Kailua though this would be the perfect location with lots of free parking right in front of the store. Walking in I was impressed how spacious the service area was and offering three tables inside as well. There was a couple of guys here and I probably was talking too soft but it took several attempt to place my order though he was nice and patient to repeat my order over and over versus taking the chance of getting it wrong. I also got the Berry trio parfait as well and brought my own cup in my new TJ's Mini Tote by thoughtful Cece enjoying the new taste of spring was nice and relaxing. I'm not a coffee drinker, but my mom is. Because I have absolutely no knowledge about coffee, I always depend on the staff to give me their advice. The Starbucks team at the Keolu location have never disappointed me! Based on the info that I provide regarding my elderly mother's preference/taste, they have always given me suggestions that were spot on! That shows me that every single one of them knows their job very well. It is so refreshing to see our younger generation enjoying AND excelling at their job. Equally impressive was watching them help not only the newer staff, but each other as well. I also appreciated how clean this location is. I was out in Kailua today and decided to stop by this Starbucks. I like their Frappuccino's, but not a big fan of their regular coffee as it taste overly roasted and has a burnt aftertaste. It looks like they had some new options including a green pineapple Matcha drink. Sounded interesting. I ordered that and also their lemon loaf. The store was empty. Most people were ordering their drinks on their Starbuck apps and had them delivered outside. The ladies that were working today were very friendly and I felt welcomed. When it came to trying the green pineapple Matcha drink, it left much to be desired. It did have a hint of pineapple taste although it was quite water down, and honestly I could hardly even taste the Matcha. What a disappointment! I'm a huge Matcha fan and if you can't taste the Matcha that's a problem. The time it takes to get the coffee is longer than other Starbucks. I've waited over 15 minutes for my coffee with about 4 people in the store and 3 workers in the back. It was annoying, but this is the only Starbucks in our community. I've even canceled my order once to order from McDonald's because of the time it takes to get my coffee. Been lucky to have a Starbucks near where I reside but these past few visit to this location have been nothing but disappointment. I usually and always order a Trenta Pink Drink or their Star Drink without ice and they have always filled it to the top. Nowadays the barista(s) are leaving an inch gap at the top. Went inside to have it remade not once but three times before they filled it with no gap. While in between the remaking of my drink numerous times, the staff there can't kept telling me that was has its always been when someone orders a drink with no ice that there is an inch gap at the top when in fact it's false. I've been to this location and numerous other locations and have always had my drink filled with no gap. Not sure if I'll keep ordering my favorite drink anymore if this is what's going to happening every time I visit the same location or another one. read more

Summer Star Dash is currently going on, so I feel obligated to go to Starbucks daily. Today, I was in the Enchanted Lakes area and decided to try the Enchanted Lakes Starucks. It is kind of awkwardly long and narrow and a little crowded. There were also no open tables. I think they should look at getting a larger space, but the Enchanted Lakes Shopping Center is kind of small to begin with. The baristas were nice enough, but they were out of Orange Mango. I hate when things are out of things, but don't show it on the menu. I got to the front of the line and ordered my Orange Mango drink. The cashier apologized and told me they were out. :( I was so focused on my usual drink that I was at a loss for what my second choice would be :/ It was awkward and I wished they would have put that on the menu board. I wouldn't have wasted the other customers' time. They have a water dispenser open to customers, which is cool, but the milk/sugar counter was a little messy. Being OCD, I felt compelled to help them clean up a little while I waited for my second choice drink. I won't come back here to do work, since it seemed really crowded, with people standing around waiting for tables to open and moving chairs from one end the store to the other. It's the only Starbucks in the area though, so I'll probably be back for take out, even though there was constantly a line while I was there. The wi-fi also didn't work. read more

Staff: The staff here is super friendly, and they make awesome secret underground drinks lol, this is where my friend comes and she shows me those drinks. She's a regular here so they know her. Drinks: Drinks are always on point! I can't tell you what I got in the picture below, but man that was super delish! I probably can't create it unless I come back to this location. But the other times that I've ordered here, they never get it wrong or keep you waiting. I will say that with construction at McDonald's though, the parking situation gets a little crazy. Nice first visit at this Starbucks location. Easy to access, lots of parking in a shared parking lot, and very clean inside and out. My fiancé and I ordered an iced vanilla latte, vanilla shake with banana, ombré pink drink, and the soups vide egg bites with egg whites and red pepper. This was for us and her sisters. The vanilla latte was perfect. The vanilla shake was perfect. The ombré drink didn't taste like it had nearly enough lemonade, and it had no lime. As far as I'm aware, it's customary for the lime slice to go in the drink. And the egg bites were warm and delicious. The cashier was obviously being trained, because a mama hart was helping her here and there with our orders. No problem at all! We all know how that goes. All good brah. However, a huge drawback for us was one of the guys preparing the drinks had a pretty sour attitude. At least, that's how it appeared to us. He didn't talk much, definitely didn't smile, and kind of gruffly called out some of the orders and didn't call out some of the other orders at all. Not very pleasant. I totally understand if he has a RBF, if he got no sleep, or has had a terrible morning because of the training. Only thing I ask (and this is coming from someone who has worked in customer service and has had to put on the face) is that it doesn't show. When it comes to customer service, you have to mask up. It sucks but it's part of the job. What I know very well about the food industry, and really any industry that is selling you a product face to face... it's not the product that sells the experience. 99% of the time, it's the experience that sells the product. If they felt loved, welcomed, and appreciated, they are happy with the food (even if something crazy happens and the food is just alright). But if the customer service is just alright, the food can be great, but they won't remember a good experience and won't want to come back. I'm giving it four stars because everything but the ombré pink drink and single employee's attitude and demeanor were awesome!!! Still definitely recommend stopping by, but maybe avoid the mornings. read more

I found myself here @ Starbucks in the heart of Kailua town, after visiting the other Starbucks in the Kailua Shopping Center. I needed to recharge my iPhone, but it was certainly busy and I did not want to make a purchase. I had previously loved to come to Starbucks for their drinks, frappuchinos, and their good bakery selections, but right now, I'm going cold turkey and shying away from them. The great thing about Starbucks is that they don't kick you out for hanging out in their store and appear to be working or reading. Or using their electricity for your iPhone. That's a great thing. As long as you don't make a scene or cause trouble, I suppose. Love the staff for doing so, wherever Starbucks I visit. This Starbucks suits me just fine and I would love to come back. The atmosphere is relatively quiet, depending on what part of the seating area you decide on gravitating to. The staff always provides good service and I am grateful for that. They are located in the Keolu Shopping Center, which is basically a strip mall in Kailua, within humble residential surroundings. It's almost secluded in a way, from the hustle and bustle of the main thoroughfare of Oneawa / Kailua / Kuulei roads. This is vintage Starbucks and I will be back - even though I am choosing not to be a Starbucks drinker anymore, I do love to just hang out here. Now moving to Kailua from salt lake this starbucks I was disappointed. This afternoon I told my husband before we go home stop off so I can get a drink. My favorite is blk tea ice tea. Well today I decided to have a frappuccino instead. I ordered strawberry and cream. Well theres only 2 baristas. 2 guys. 1 taking the orders and the other one making the drinks. I waited a good 10 to 15 mins for my drink not like they were busy. The cashier barista was taking the order cashing out and making drinks while the other one was half of the time looking at his phone I guess. But reply sorry for the wait. Look at your phone on your lunch hr break or after work. Get the customers out of there with their drinks or food. After me the place were getting crowded. Visited this Starbucks the other day and, wow, the employees are genuinely nice and cool. Highly personable. You wouldn't think that would be anything unusual, but it is, and it's worth sharing a Yelp review. These guys seemed to just be Real: genuinely cool/nice people with good vibes who seemed to really like helping people, and interested in giving us the best of what they had that we might want. You know, where the entire store is created to look exactly like an Apple store and the employees believed they were actually working for the company. That's how I feel about this place. Parking is easy if you don't bang your fender on the wall like I did. Service is friendly, but they serve coffee cold when it's supposed to be hot. Pastries are the same as all Starbucks. They are serving Top Pot style doughnuts that are not called Top Pot any more. If the Kailua town Starbucks is the Starbucks of the tourists, than this is the Starbucks of the soccer moms. This is by far my favorite Starbucks on the island. It's never too crowded and they always are fast, friendly, and FUN. The staff treats you like family, and they know you by name, not just drink. Most of them have have been working at that this location for years so they have lots of experience with both the company and the clientele.
