Ample seating and large space for a Starbucks location. Well lit with plenty of areas to plug away and work on your project, or pretend on being productive. You can spend the day here working on notes, and no one will disturb you. The only caveat is that despite large seating area it gets so packed on weekends that it may just deter you from staying, you may just have to take that coffee or tea to go. Staff is great and location is clean. Late hours on weekends. What more could you ask for! read more

Starbucks doesn't satisfy what I'm looking for. Even the community aspect of it is lost when the seating just flanks the outside. No more tips to the managers, full disclosure: I want this location to fail. "In a grande you get TWO shots of expresso!" The woman said as if talking about Christmas morning. "What? Who cares? I just want the bigger size. Relax." I don't get the caffeine scene. I don't drink coffee and I prefer tea decaf. I have enough metabolism as it is. I just wanted free internet. LET ME TELL YOU, this location has some baristas that know how to brew coffee. It was pure and strong unlike other starbucks locations. Not my favorite location but I come here a lot anyway. July 02, 9:00 pm. I didn't get the barista's name.. She was not pleasant. I ordered iced coffee, black. The girl who took my order forgot to mark it on the cup so the barista made my coffee with milk and classic syrup. I really hate rejecting drinks but i asked for a remake. Me: "I'm so sorry but can I have it black?" Barista: "... Just order it that way next time." Me: "yeah.. I did. She (girl at register) even confirmed." Barista: "she? Went here yesterday, The lady making my frappe was rude and took the joy right out of being there once she opened her mouth. After I said to her that I forgot my sister wanted 2 pumps of hazelnut in it (which my sister just texted to remind me after I had paid already). Her: " you know that cost extra right, next time pay for it first" or some such. Really? Like I got my frappe for free?? I know it costs money, duhhhh.... go ahead and charge me for it, don't patronize me, sheesh. This location is dirty and always packed with people who don't purchase anything, so paying customers never have a place to sit. The employees are not friendly and generally incompetent when it comes to making the drinks. The last time I came here, I ordered an iced tea. I stood and waited while half a dozen people after me received their drinks. I went back to the register and the cashier said the iced tea hadn't been mixed yet for the day. It would've been nice if he had told me that when I ordered. I asked for a refund, filed a complaint on the Starbucks website, and haven't and will never return to this location. I ordered a passion fruit lemonade today. It was busy so the drink was made this other customer took it when it had my name on it. She took it then popped her straw in it and took a sip. Then the man asked me if my name was Marisol I said no. Her drink was the dragonfruit drink. Then marisol comes back saying its not her drink and saying she never took a sip. Yo top it off the starbucks employee asked if I wanted it still. Uh. No marisol saliva was on it. In any establishment if you gave someone my food or drink and they somehow touched it I would expect a new one. I got my new one after about 20 plus minutes. The Starbucks empire built an attractive one for our neighborhood. Lots of comfortable seating. And filling those seats are people sitting with their books, computers and their friends drinking their Grandes. Now I always know where I can find the Sunday Times and a chai latte. I always come to get my favorite caramel frappuccino here, the place although is always busy and packed get ready to wait in line and wait for seating. Free wifi, place is big but they do take long to make your drink around 10 mins. The bakery runs out of stuff really quickly so I advice go early. read more

It's true that a chain is a chain, Starbucks or otherwise. There are local places that serve very respectable options, but if you like routine and free wifi, this is good to have. I'm there irregularly, but they recall most things about what I'm likely to order. It's a trait I personally appreciate. read more

Every single time I go in there, they never have whipped cream, one day I order a mocha frappe with whipped, swipe my card then the barista tells me there's no whipped cream and then I said okay I want a refund I don't want it, that's when they take out the whip cream. Then one time I asked for mocha drizzle, and they said next time tell the cashier that because it's an extra charge. Like no it's not. If I place a mobile order they never charge me. Other Starbucks location never charged me. This location has been awful. A whole year of occasionally going. Terrible service. read more

I come here pretty often, especially since it's so convenient to have a Starbucks in Jackson Heights. I used to think that because this Starbucks was in this area filled with small coffee stores and bakeries, it would never be full. I was wrong. Getting a seat here is a competition, and it is usually won by patrons who bring their laptops and spend the entire day there NOT drinking anything. Needless to say, I have learned that this is more of a grab-and-go Starbucks, and grab-and-go I do. Even though I spend a total of ten minutes, tops, in this Starbucks, I am so turned off by the smell that there is by the cashier. It smells like bathroom -- all the time! No other Starbucks has this issue, not even the ones with bathrooms that are much closer to the check out area. The other Starbucks I frequent (in Flushing & Forest Hills) do a much better job at customer service than here. In Jackson Heights, you'll get a "what would you like?" and a "next" with nothing else. It's like they don't care about your patronage. There are many coffee shops and bakeries in the area and most of them kick Starbucks' corporate butt, but I just can't live without my grande caramel frappucino. read more

I'm sorry Arnab, but it really saddens me that the corporate behemoth has reached into my beloved Jackson Heights! one thing I always loved was that there were plenty of little local spots (I used to work at one, cafe Greco, before it closed because the owner retired) for a good cup of coffee. Starbucks is a blemish on a beautiful neighborhood. I'm sure it's pretty and convenient but it's a Starbucks nonetheless. I do buy it, for the record, but only when I don't have another option. The lack of seating is keeping me from giving this Starbucks location 5 stars. I'm a bit biased because this is just a few short blocks from my house, but it is a pretty good Starbucks. The staff is very friendly and it's always clean. The line tends to move quickly. The major downfall is the lack of available seating. There is one line of tables and chairs along one wall, two small seating areas with cushy chairs, and another small area of tables along another wall. Sounds like a lot but it really amounts to about 8 tables. No more than 20 people can sit her at a time. For the amount of traffic that this store sees it really needs to have more seating. There is a ton of wasted space in the middle of the floor. The layout can easily be reconfigured to make space for more seating. read more

Pastries are not as good as those from Lety's (next block), and regular coffee is too strong, but everything else is super great, including the cafe's atmosphere and the super nice/professional/happy baristas. I'm thrilled Starbucks is here. The place is always full, no seats available anytime I go there. I half wondered if they paid people to sit there all day, lol. I stop by at least once a week, I do use the bathroom, sometimes they are clean, many times they are not. The person on the counter was surly and clearly did not want to be there and moved slowly to get my order going. It was one of those sticky, hot days when my son and I decided to go in and splurge on a Starbucks coffee. They really are treats and not in our every day budget so we were both excited. What made the drink even better was the excellent, personalized service by Rina who reminded me of the early days of Starbucks in Seattle where the company was born where the service is what made customers coming back over and over again. Not a bad Starbucks for both layout and location. Being that is is the only one in the area, you pretty much have to take what you can get. The seating is plentiful and comfortable. The layout is not over crowded. The Baristas are nice and polite. Bathrooms are clean and the place is well kept. Parking can be a bitch, but that's common in the Heights. read more

I remember the excitement of having a Sbux open up in Jackson Heights.. and then that excitement died when I remembered that Jackson Heights was not about the big corporations but about the local small businesses. Specifically, this store had the old espresso machines (which have recently been replaced by the Mastrenas - thank goodness) and the furniture had already started to fall apart even though its only a few years old. When you order for pick up, its never ready when I get there. Its way to over crowded and its needs to be more organized with how they take orders. I go to starbucks almost everyday, many times to one in Fresh Meadows, and some in Manhattan, there is no Starbucks like this one. The customer service is so horrible. The workers or should I say "BARISTAS" have so much attitude and are so rude, disregarding the fact that they never get anything right, even a order as a simple as classic iced coffee. I'm a Gold star member, and I ask for whipped cream on my iced coffees, since I can't have the frappuccinos as a diabetic, and they always like to say rude things and give me shit when I ask for it. I was denied my refills on Iced coffee because the guy apparently didn't see me in the overly crowded place where people sit and sip DUNKIN DONUTS COFFEE, and eat food from other places. Even forgetting all of that, everything I actually get the Iced Coffee, its watery and tastes nothing like other locations. When I used to come here 2-3 years ago, the staff was very friendly and their food didn't taste like shit, this complete staff turnover is the biggest turnoff. Lol its the only one in the area, its always full seating wise with the same people that probably never buy anything just use the wifi and outlets so dont expect a seat its more of a take out type statbucks unless you want to stand around. The staff changes often not too many familiar faces in that category. They do give gold members free refils on all drinks even specialty drinks which is a plus. They also sell out of bakery/food items pretty early so dont expect much more than your drink but you may get lucky! Gave it 4 stars because of the refil accommodation and the fact that its the only one in the are plus lets be honest its starbucks they're basically the same what did you expect waiter service? I always come here to get my morning coffee fix. If you come early enough, you'll be able to grab a seat and enjoy what they have to offer. They have free wifi here too. Throughout the day it gets busy and the service can be slow due to the same number of staff working. I would suggest just getting one more person to help; it would make a difference. read more
