RUDE AND DISMISSIVE EMPLOYEE. Don't bother asking if they have their seasonal drink. I usually enjoy my visits to this location, but my experience today was incredibly disappointing due to an employee named J. I went in specifically for the Pistachio Latte. There were signs for it outside and inside the establishment. When I reached the counter and asked for it, J snapped at me, stating they were out of the syrup in a tone that felt like I was an inconvenience for even asking. Then he followed up with "is that a problem?". There was no "sorry for the inconvenience" or an offer to suggest a similar alternative - just a dismissive, snappy attitude that made the whole interaction feel tense. I understand that seasonal items run out, and that's totally fine, but the customer service shouldn't disappear with the inventory. A little politeness goes a long way, and unfortunately, J's attitude turned a simple coffee run into a negative start to my day. read more

I've had a sort-of love-hate relationship with this Starbucks almost since it opened. I moved out of Jackson Heights not long after having given it one-star back in 2011. But I returned recently and find it quite different... and much better. I'm not sure it it has to do with changes put through by the company's new CEO, or use of app ordering, or other thing, but now, I'm finding it to be a great go-to coffee shop. There's plenty of seating nowadays, so I've never had to immediately leave finding no place to sit. Ordering at the counter can still be slow... but knowing that, I walk into the store, sit down, order on the app, and by the time I've settled in, my order is ready so I simply walk over to pick it up. Staff is polite ) perhaps app ordering, which many customers seem to be doing, takes pressure off from the old too-long lines. The only thing holding me back from five stars is the tendency to run out of variious snacks during the early afternoon. But on the whole, I have togive credit where credit is due... This is one of my favorite Starbucks. First because it is conveniently very close to my job and secondly because the staff is always so friendly. I usually don't ever have to wait too long for my drinks when I order ahead which is very convenient. The drinks themselves are always well prepared and tasty. My go to drink in the winter is the caramel macchiato. When it gets warmer out, I usually get an iced caramel macchiato. read more

Now, this is a review during the pandemic, and they do check to see if you have a face masks. For all of those who already have had covid-19, some of us haven't caught it and like it to stay that way. I love this location because it's open at 6 AM which hardly anything is open this early in the neighborhood unless you walk over to Dunkin' Donuts. I also visit here to get some grading done, to catch up with my friends with kids, to meet my students and talk about their worries & real life struggles. I also come here to tutor some kids and help them with their studies. There are clean tables and lots of hand sanitizer. Did I mention this one has a bathroom unlike the one next to the subway station on 74th Street and Roosevelt Avenue? I consider this a drawfront and helpful when drinking a big cup of caffeinated awesomeness! I like this Starbucks, because the people who work here are super nice. There is a lady who starts with a T who I love (but I'll write the first initial in respect for her privacy and somewhat anonymity), because I always feel comfortable not getting a 3rd coffee, and merely stopping in to grab a cake pop and chill out with another friend who appreciates the strongness of a black coffee. At other cafes, it's strange to not get a coffee, but it's nice not to be pressured to get a beverage just because that's what most people order. It's also wonderful, because the music is also super relaxing. The aroma of espresso beans inside this location is truly spectacular. I've been coming to this location for a while now and each time the service is superb! The staff is super friendly and the manager Rena always greets you by your first name which is actually very nice that people actually remember your name these days. I usually do mobile orders and they're always ready and made to perfection when I get there! There's also plenty of seating and space for everyone. I wish all locations were like this one with exceptional staff and great customer service! Another great thing about this location is that it's open till 10PM everyday so you can get your caffeine boost even late! read more

They can remake your order if they get it wrong, but I don't understand why they keep getting it wrong when something specific is ordered through the app, like a flat white for example, it always comes back looking like a cappuccino; the actual drink ends at 60% full, the rest is all foam. It depends on who's making your drink, but lately I find they can't get flat whites right. Needless to say you need to check before leaving the store. My barista was really pleasant and offered excellent service (which I feel like is a hard thing to accomplish when working in large corporate chain stores, having worked in one myself). A few outlets along one side of the wall (~3 on the side with the communal table). The bathrooms are definitely cleaner than most other Starbucks bathrooms I've been to. I live in queens nyc. My favorite location in Jackson Heights on 37th Ave completely humiliated me. A new training employee accused me of being a man. While calling out for a drink order and looking directly at me "Dylan!? Are you Dylan?" I am not a transgender women. So I asked because at first I thought he was talking to someone else. "Are you talking to me?" he says confidently "yes" My response was aggressive. "I look like a man to you?! Just give me my coffee that I paid for." I said many other not nice things. I was dismissed. All of the employees just looked at me. No responses no apologies nothing. I called corporate to make a complaint. Do not go to that location. It used to be my favorite. This Starbucks location is like a community center. It really is one of the most populated Starbucks locations I have ever seen, second to only Astor Place. People sit around working. This is one of those areas where Starbucks could try something unique, like opening a coffee showroom type place that can seat of the people and allow for meetings, etc to happen there. It seems like it happens anyway, but the place is not big enough to really get the community building to happen. I bet sales would go up. It is also amazing to see the mix of races and cultures that frequent this particular store. It is pretty unique. read more

Its Starbucks. Its up and its down. It has been closed for several health reasons but also remains to be the go to spot for the JH community in terms of coffee. Its a popular spot, you can't deny that for sure. Sometimes there are people hanging out all over the place and getting through can be a nightmare. I have ordered drinks and food items and had the drinks ready in no time but the food items took up to 15 minutes to prepare for some reason. Mobile orders are mostly okay but sometimes in the early days they had the ticket machine in a stupid place and the employees would never see them. They changed a lot, some things for the better. Its not going anywhere soon that is for sure, and I would expect it to even expand if it was able to buy out the corner location. Don't be surprised read more

I came this place because they open pretty late and I wanted to work somewhere outside my house as I was working all day at home. but I like this Starbucks because of the staff here. Starbucks in U.S. generally do not have staffs as other countries, but here I was really happy to have this Starbucks in my neighbor.
