I had stopped at this Starbucks due to it being on my way to work a morning shift. I had did the order ahead which I had ordered the Carmel ribbon Frappuccino with oat milk , roasted peppers egg white bites, and the strawberry matcha loaf bread. Once I had arrived I had decided to go through the drive thru to get my order since I didn't want to get out of the car. I arrived at the speaker and was greeted. I told them I had an order pickup and gave my name. Once I arrived to the window I was able to get my items. The worker was friendly. I was satisfied with the way they made my drink. It was delicious and the price of my items were your typical Starbucks prices. The outside of the store was really nice looking. Service went really quick and I was satisfied that they were quick so I could make it to work on time. read more

I normally order drive through but the line was long, so I walked inside. I was pleasantly surprised at the seating areas, they looked comfortable and spacious enough to actually come in to either work or have coffee meet ups. It actually felt cozy inside which is rare. The barista who took my order was super friendly. I actually jumped back in line to purchase some holiday pins I spotted and as I was checking out, another barista asked if I'd seen the other pins that were on the shelf ... I ended up buying those too! They seemed to have more merchandise than I've seen at other locations. I ordered the iced sugar cookie latte and added 2 extra pumps of the syrup and it tasted just like the cookie! The sugar plum danish is my FAVORITE of all their pastries so I'm glad it's in season at the moment! If I have the time next, I'd most likely sit inside and enjoy coffee! read more

Starbucks was having a free reusable straw giveaway, so I decided to stop by to pick up a strawberry lemonade refresher. The drive thru was packed as it always is when I arrived at this Starbucks location, but I went inside to get the beverage. There was no line inside at all, and it was not packed, so I went up and placed my order for the strawberry lemonade refresher. The baristas were busy with drive thru orders, so they told me it would take a few minutes for my order, which was fine with me. They did give me my free reusable straw, which is a rainbow colored straw, and it is nice. It will definitely come in handy for me going forward. After about five minutes, my order was ready and I picked it up and headed towards my car. The strawberry lemonade refresher was "refreshing" and tasted delicious. I've always loved Starbucks and their customer service. They never disappoint me and they always produce a high quality product. Starbucks will be around for quite a while. read more

Probably the worst service I've ever had at this location. Where are all the regular employees? For some reason I couldn't order online thru the app. So I ordered at the drive thru. Got my usual. I was handed out the wrong drink. Didn't realize till I drove off and took a sip. Had to turn around and go back and go inside. I told the employee at the counter I was handed out the wrong drink. They pulled the label off the cup and found mine. I tried handing them the drink since I didn't want it. I had no idea what it even was. They told me they couldn't take it back. And they walked away. I didn't want them to resell it. I just wanted them to trash it. I had to look around for a trash can so I could drop it in. And then continue on my way to work. If you know then you know grabbing STARBS is a must! Well after running errands decided to stop at this one. It's pretty packed on the inside. I didn't want to go through the drive through. Walked in. Wasn't greeted. There were 2 people standing off to the side looked like it could have been a manger and district manager just carrying on in their conversation. There were 3 girls literally at the register. Not ONE greeted me. So i continue to wait. One clocked out. The other rang up her stuff. Still no acknowledgment. No "I'll be with you in a moment" NOTHING. One girl was at the oven wouldn't even turn around. MIND YOU the possibly manager and district manager still over in conversation. Drink orders get messed up on occasion; that's to be expected. However, as much as I go to Starbucks; it seldom happens. Today there was a mix up. I went to the drive through and ordered my usual (decaf in the afternoon) Vente Hot Carmel Macchiato substitute vanilla for sugar free vanilla. I took the drink without looking or tasting as I was going to pick up my papusas at 3 in 1 (see my review for 3 in 1 - I love their food). As I was heading home I took a sip and I thought it was - Not Good...I looked at the sticker and they fixed me an Americano with SF vanilla. I don't think Americano and Macchiato sound that similar but perhaps? I had already driven about a half mile before I discovered the mistake; I turned around and went back. I opted to go inside because the drive thru had about 6 cars. I should have gone through the drive through. It took them about 15 minutes to fix the drink I ordered but they did so without question. So; the loss of one star is for the the time it took them to make a replacement drink; all of the cars that had been in line were long gone with many more cars as well. This is my local Star ucks and I'm happy to report that it is one of the better ones in Central Indiana. It's located in a strip mall so there's no drive-thru which I think makes it better. It's more intimate and you get your order much faster than at Starbucks that have drive-thru (I always order at the counter). The seating area is very comfortable and not too bright. I would say the vibe is more like the coffee shops of old where you sit and enjoy your cup o' Joe while reading a newspaper (rather than today's Starbucks where people are working on their laptops or having business meetings). read more

I ordered in advance for my wife to get her Venti Iced Apple Crisp Macchiato before work. When she arrived, the drive thru and lobby were packed (to be expected early in the morning). Her order was ready, but her drink was made wrong and they were too busy for her to ask for them to add the missing components. Plus, she was on her way to work. The drink only had the cold foam she asked for but no drizzle, they were out of blonde shots, almond milk, and oat milk. The drink also did not contain the pumps of apple spice flavoring they were supposed to have. Needless to say, I heard a mouth full about the drink. I know they can't always control the amount of orders, but they can be sure they are serving the drinks accurately, especially for the price many of us pay. read more

Fun Fact: The Oprah Chai (in it's Tall version) has only 150 calories. I can't account for the sugar content at moment and quite frankly, I'd rather not know but I will say this particular Chai offers a healthy dose of caffeine kick and spice. I giggled at first when I heard Oprah had her own bebida at Starbucks...but now, now, dear reader, I laugh no more. In true Oprah fashion, she means business. theres an old man that sitts there every day, loudly talking, and asking people inappropriate questions. where are they from? are they from india (because his wife is from india) are they muslim?. and one day while sitting on the fronth booth facing the register i suppose it was unavoidable that it was my turn. stopping at my table asking why i sat by myself all the time. didnt I have any friends? whats my name, how do i spell it? . next day he again stopped by my table, wanting to know where i was from, my last name, and how so i spell it? i went to rhe counter and asked a lady if she could ask him to stop asking me private questions? no i can not do it, its a free country, she replied. that answear didnt satisfy me, so she said "well i can try..to ask him?. but her whole demeanor indicated that this was an uproblematic behaviour there, so i left and havent been back since. the free country remark, comes from the same lady that scolded a handicapped lady, saying " your not allowed to yell at the staff that are doing theyr job". i think this had to be in regards to previous orders. not that I have heard her saying anything loud to the staff. she has someone with her, that I saw was comforting her in a way, while the barista made her drink, and I think the lady was trying to make sure her drink had the right type of milk. so everyone has to listen to that loud guy every day, but a handicapped lady can't interact with the staff, to make sure they usevthe right type of milk or whatever her consern might be? there is one person that "yells' in there, and that is as far as I know, not her. read more

I went through the 86th st Starbucks drive thru today at 9:40 AM. I ordered a Venti Frappuccino with an added shot of espresso. She handed me a grande. I said "oh, this is a venti with an extra shot." She said "the shot is in there" and handed it back to me. I was confused and said "yeahhh... it's still not a venti." She snapped back "okay" in a demeaning tone and closed the window, then waving her hands around. Rude lady at the window. Not friendly at all. I will not be returning. The young lady at the drive-thru was however I did not appreciate the change. I haven't been to this location in year but the last time I came I was able to order from the drive-thru. The young lady told me I had to go on the other side in order to order. I was not going to do all of that so I just choked it up and took it as a lost. So no coffee and gas wasted. I can't say that I ran into the same issue as the previous person that reviewed this Starbucks. In fact, I had a rather positive experience. Driving down the road, I had a hankering for a Soy Chai Tea Latte right about the time I passed this Starbucks. I swung in and realized I had to go inside because there isn't a drive thru. I also realized after I parked by the door there was a big sign with an arrow that said "use other door" right where everyone else was parked. There were a couple of people in line ahead of me, but the cashier kept the pace moving and before I knew it, I was ordering and swiping my app to pay. There was only one barista crafting the drinks, so there was a little bit of a delay in getting my beverage, but it was perfectly prepared (I ordered it extra hot, and this was the perfect temp) and tasted wonderful. A solid 4 star review.. I just can't give a 5-star to a Starbucks without a drive thru. I debated on sitting out front and honking until someone came out and gave them my order, but that sounded rude. read more

I'll soon be moving to the Castleton area and I've been making a mental list of the things that I'll miss the most about the 86th/Ditch location. The Starbucks. I have been to a numerous amount of Starbucks and spent way too much money on their coffee. No regrets, though. This Starbucks in particular has honestly won my heart. And it just so happened to be conveniently located right down the street from me for the past two years. Why is it so grand? The staff. Customer service is key and the group of people that work here are incredibly friendly. I have often gone in the mornings when I'm barely functional and they are more than happy to deal with my zombie self. I was even in there one day when a new guy was being trained on his barista position. Everyone was patient with him - workers and customers. I think Starbucks is a great establishment and they wouldn't have the success they do today if it weren't for workers like those at the 86th/Ditch spot. So, thank you! I'll miss being right down the street, but I'll for sure make my way over every now and then after I move. read more

Despite my preference, Starbucks is tasty, ubiquitous, and convenient. This Starbucks location, which has operated since I was in high school (hint: it isn't new), has always satisfied me. It is a five-star location. A five-star Starbucks? Yes, especially as I'd only compare one Starbucks location with another Starbucks location. I'll tell you why: It's the service. I've experienced nothing by exceptionally friendly service at this location for more than 15 years. Story time. Very recently, I found myself with a great urge to purchase a French press coffee maker. Since I had ventured to Northside, I figured I'd try Starbucks, since I knew they sold them. After visiting one location and striking out, I telephoned this location to see if they carried the item. To my satisfaction, the friendly young barista not only said that she had them, but that they were on sale! When I arrived at the shop five minutes later, I found the she had already neatly wrapped and bagged my brand new French press. The barista, who herself is a fan of the simple coffee makers, gave me various tips on how to brew the best cup of coffee on earth. I'm not sure I'm a master yet, but I'm a work in progress. They close at 7 on Sunday, it is currently 6:10 and they have taken all their pasteurized out of the case, turned their ovens off, and were incapable of cooking any the food the have on display or on their menu. I find that if your open that that means you should be capable of offering all items on the menu until close. I am going to reach out to the manager of this Starbucks and hope that I can update my review based off of how the manager attempts to rectify the problem. I now have an extremely disappointed three year old and it is difficult to properly explain the reason he can't have something I told him he could. Needless to say I will be going back to my regular Starbucks and be avoiding this one at all costs. Too eager to close down for the day and get out of work then to serve their patrons. read more

This is the closest Starbucks to me and it's my go-to place if I need a pick-me-up (especially after I received a Starbucks card for Christmas!). The baristas are really friendly. I've only been in the morning, so I really can't vouch for the people on the swing shift, but then again, not many people are going to Starbucks for dinner, so they may be under-prepared when heating up a sandwich or if they've run out of baked goods at the end of the day. I drink the same drink everywhere I go, I get iced or hot depending on whether it's summer or winter. I've came to this location 3 times this summer and every single time I ask for an iced Americano with milk, hazelnut and to use iced coffee instead of water. Every time they give me a hot Americano! I immediately turn around and they fix it but today my husband stopped by this location to get me my drink and he showed up with a hot Americano! Even though he said iced. We live in Broad Ripple so I wasn't going to have home drive all the way back. If you want your coffee made right the first time I suggest you venture elsewhere. read more

He asked for a towel to help clean up and the response given was 'there's napkins'. Really?! Thank you for that! We aren't wanting the towel for our own personal gain, we are cleaning up a mess so you won't have too later. 5 minutes later and countless napkins, she finally offered a towel. Now, don't get me wrong. After hearing a customer accidentally spilled her drink, having been in customer service most of my life, I would have offered another. I realize it was my own fault but things happen and the darn thing was still full! Just not impressed with the attitudes given when asked for a towel. read more

Called at 5:59 a.m. to order box of coffee to go along with pastries for a board meeting. (I actually was only going to order the coffee but the associate asked if I wanted to add pastries--YES!) The 3rd of the 4 locations I frequent - this location holds that cozy "catch - up with friends" feel to it. And, literally, that is what many of the regulars do here - especially on Saturday mornings. It's the place where many take their "me" time after a monotonous day of work. The partners at this location just add to that ability. April had been at this location since she transferred from the Willow Lake store years ago.
