This Starbucks is close to home and ultimately frustrating. The quality is consistent and the interior is nice. The service levels need improved. The wait times if you order inside are extensive. Today I went through the drive through and were told to pull ahead and park avg they'd bring out my drinks. After 15 min I went in abd asked where my ordered is. It was made and discarded because I didn't come in to get it. Training training and more training is needed on customer service. They have great employees but they need process improvements and communication improvements at this site. read more

It's honestly not my usual MO to leave a review for a national chain like Starbucks, but rather focus on shedding light on local spots. However, I always have to give a shout out for exceptional service and customer care! I like this Starbucks location in general. Lots of seating...plenty of power outlets for laptops...not too congested. Overall great vibes. But I just got blown away by a top level interaction from my barista Clara! I walked in and started out a little bummed when she informed me that the syrup for the nitro cold brew I wanted was out. It happens...first world problems. However, I immediately see the gears turning as Clara begins thinking of ways to make something similar and comes up with a drink that I ended up liking even BETTER than my original order. She totally could've just stared at me blankly while waiting for me to come up with plan B. Instead, she turned a potential disappointment into a customer service highlight. Oh man, I love Starbucks but I was able to experience it during a peak Saturday morning. Our daughter had her first game at CDC, so we dropped her off around 10 since game was at 10:30, and we planned on grabbing coffees. Seeing the drive thru with about 5 cars, we went in to order, thinking it would be smoother, only to find the chaos inside. There was a group of 4 teens ahead of us, ordering individually, but we expected to have to wait a bit. The cashier was pleasant and took our order- 1 dark roast w 3 Splenda, a cream based Frappuccino and a latte. We sat down in the booth area, knowing we'd have to wait but did not anticipate how long. First to come us was my latte, and then we waited another 15 min, before I walked up, telling them we were missing a few items. Noah asked for my name, and said they just hadn't gotten to it yet, and that I should have 2/3 drinks. I informed him we were still missing the dark roast (which is just pouring from the pot)- he was surprised we didn't have it yet and said he'd get it. He's a good expeditor even if his delivery is abrupt. We waited another 10 min, and it was 10:37, so I noticed the girl finally grabbing ingredients that looked like our Frappuccino... many people after us had come and gone... I watched as all I needed was a lid to my drink... she proceeded to fill an empty container of syrup, then started cleaning another accessory, so I leaned over and asked if it my Frappuccino- she's like, yeah I'm working on it... I said, can you please hand it to me, I really need to go! She rolled her eyes, turned around to do something else. I saw Noah sweep it up after a quick convo, and hand it to me. I snapped a pic of the time as soon as I was back in my car. Needless to say- I saw the last 5 points of a game, and heard my daughter played awesome in the first game. I understand being busy, and crazy at Starbucks, but unfortunately, knowing I'm waiting and have already asked politely about my order, I assumed they would make sure it was on its way. Unfortunately, the time printed on my order was 10:18 and the time on my car clock shows 10:46. I know for a fact I was in that store waiting to order at 10:10-15... I know it's a busy location but it was pretty disorganized for a 3 drink order to take 45 minutes, 2 reminders, and a missed first game. Unfortunate. read more

I know Starbucks is pricey, but they must be doing something right because we all still keep coming back! I want to give a shout out to Avery at the 131st and Hazel Dell location in Carmel. She's awesome and has been recommending delightful drinks for many years when I've asked. I realize someone else is making those drinks, but she is the driving force behind me even trying a different drink. Today, the Brown Sugar Oatmilk Cortado with blonde espresso was amazing! Also, there should be no complaint about the lengthy lines because you cannot fault Starbucks for the 15+ cars that get in line at the same time after dropping kids off at school just because we all want to get our coffee fix. And I want to give a shout out to the barristas who work at this location on Fridays at 3:30pm when the barrage of kids from the Middle School arrive. This is my local Starbucks and the reason for the rating is that the staff make an effort to get to know me and are super friendly. I'm always greeted when I grab my drink. Frankly I am a very simple coffee guy so a Pike or an Americano. My drinks are always correct and the atmosphere is welcoming. This is my favorite neighborhood Starbucks and the first time I've dined in since the pandemic. Take note,management, this employee (picture posted) definitely needs customer service training. He asked what I needed and when I started to point at the coffee sleeves and stirrers, he yelled at me, Don't touch that!! (This is after he tossed the Stevia packet at me vs handing to me.). I responded, you don't have to yell at me, I take directions very well." He snarked back, We'll you wouldn't believe how many people don't." As if that makes his rude behavior and comments acceptable. Same great coffee as every other Starbucks. The location is great, right smack dab in the middle of suburbia. They recently expanded the dining area which made it nearly double the size it originally was, which is awesome; however, there is still a horrible parking lot situation and drive thru. I often place my order on the app and like to run in and grab my drink off the counter (usually much faster than the drive thru) but the problem is there's never anywhere to park to run inside. It's a shame because I really like this location. The drive thru doesn't help either, it often wraps around the building through the parking lot, only to block more of the parking spaces. I think the solution is building another location on Hazel Dell, north of 146th St. if anyone from Starbucks Corp. wants to chat about exactly where I'd like them to build, let me know. Update: We need another location in the area, the staff here is always overwhelmed. read more

Generally a great Starbucks. There are large amounts of seating inside including both tables and comfier options including leather chairs and sofas. The outside seating is nice, but the ambiance is disrupted by large amount of traffic on Hazel Dell and 116th. The staff is generally really friendly and the service is quick. This place is crazy on the weekends, with 10+ cars waiting for the drive through, so I would definitely park and stand in the line inside (it's generally a shorter wait). She's been there FOREVER and survived the downsizing from a few years ago (thank God)... but her age is showing, could use some new furniture or even a remodel, but we LOVE her 7/31/18 She was FINALLY remodeled a few weeks ago, looks really great and much larger (took over the veterinarian office space that was next door and added to their own). She needed the space to handle the crowds. Unfortunately 90% of the chairs have no cushion and are uncomfortable to sit in after about 15 min or so ... maybe that is by design? Probably won't be meeting friends here to chat... too bad, she used to be such a cozy place to gather for a visit. read more

Was not impressed with this Starbucks. The space is rather large but the seating is limited. The overall space was kind of a mess and seemed like it needed a deep cleaning. Stuff was just out of place. They also need better training on making drinks. The first time I went I ordered a brève hot chocolate. It was not made breve, and when I told the barista she started to argue with me that it was instead of just making me a new one. The second time I came I ordered an iced matcha, which is one of my usual orders. It was extremely bland tasting and lacked a sufficient amount of matcha. Been there twice. First Time was 9 AM on a weekday so it was a little busy from the morning crowd took quite a while to get a coffee as I went inside. But again given that there was quite a few people there I could understand it. I went in this last Saturday there were two people inside one person pulled into the drive up as I was walking into the store at 6:40 AM. I place my order and watched nine more cars come up and get their coffee +6 people that are done Internet orders come in and get a coffee in by 7:02 I still had nothing. The two people that were on duty were so busy I couldn't even get their attention to ask them where my coffee was. I did notice that they have a Clock timing the drive-through's and then make sure that the drive-throughs get their coffee but they really don't care about anybody that walks into the lobby it appears. I finally gave up at 7:04 AM and just have them refund my money because I figured I could drive somewhere else and get a coffee faster than what they were doing. read more

Ordered 4 breakfast sandwiches, bacon gouda and DS bacon sandwich. The sandwiches are supposed to be hot or at least warm. The egg and cheese on our sandwiches were cold and solid. Drum-roll please! Review #100 coming right up! I chose to review Starbucks as my 100th review because it is a guilty pleasure. Something that I only allow myself once a week. But something that I crave everyday! This particular Starbucks is great. The baristas are always friendly and welcoming. The drinks are made correctly and quickly. I usually go with a Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate or Mocha. I also occasionally order the White Mocha. If you can't tell, I enjoy coffee that doesn't taste like coffee! In the summer their iced teas are the perfect thirst quencher! Their breakfast pastry items are always delicious. Try the Cranberry-Orange Scone and you will not be disappointed! Their breakfast sandwiches are unique and pretty tasty as well. I always choose to go in and place my order over sitting in the drive thru. The line for their drive thru is always ridiculously long. However, what makes this Starbucks great is the service. I have never had bad service at this Starbucks. There have been one or two time that something has taken longer than it should have. (Usually it is my son's Java chip frappuchino) However, they go out of their way to make it right and correct the issue. I couldn't give this place one star because I normally get decent service here. I am not sure if this is a holiday staff issue or what, but they were way off today. The line was not super long, but it definitely was not being managed well... By the time I finally got to the front of the line, I was looking at the cashier's back. There was no acknowledgement of me at all. I know the cashiers are generally charged with the task of preparing the baked goods, so I was prepared to let this slide. Either way, it would have been nice to get a smile, a "Hi, sorry can you give me just a second...?" or something along those lines. But I got her back. Then another employee comes to the cash register. I didn't assume she was taking over and she wasn't... she was just clocking in or out I believe. Either way, she also did not offer any type of acknowledgement to me, the customer, and when she was done with whatever she was doing at the register, she also turned her back to me a proceeded to do something other than provide customer service. Then the two of them started talking about topics that had nothing to do with their job, which would have been fine, had they offered some level of customer service. There were two other young ladies working on what looked like the drive thru orders since they were at the other end of the bar. Although they offered a few glances my way, they did not smile or speak to me or any of the other customers who were standing in a line that was really starting to build up at this point. I took a few minutes to take in what was happening, then I gathered my things and left. Westfield has noooooo drive thru Starbucks so I was sooo excited to stumble upon this drive thru one close to my house. Look-i love Starbucks...I spend a ton of money at Starbucks. In return, all I ask is decent coffee and friendly service. I know it's gonna be busy. I know I'm gonna wait.... Throw me an apologetic smile or something once in awhile. So when I went over the weekend and waited 20 mins only to get completely dismissed by the barista when I asked for her help in figuring out why I was so waiting for croissants, I was thoroughly disappointed. When I apologized for interrupting HER and kindly asked if she could help, she offered nothing and said to me "oh i don't do warming station, my shift supervisor does." And that was it, you can imagine my frustration. I hate leaving a bad review but she didn't even yell for someone. Or point to someone. Or anything. Not cool. So when I did find my person, she said the ticket never printed then walked away. Then 30 seconds later came back with a bag of my food. She said it was accidentally left at the drive thru window. The end. It had been sitting there for awhile..and I'd been waiting for 20 mins. Frankly, I want to give a lower star but because I received excellent service from a kid the day before who normally worked at a different store... The Starbucks gets an average.. Do better. I am very upset with the service at this Starbucks. When I ordered a pink drink through the drive through, they got my order wrong, so naturally I go back inside and ask that they remake my drink. The employees smirk at my request and proceed to make me a drink, and the drink they made me was basically just coconut milk. These employees were rude, incompetent and careless.
