Ziggi's Coffee: Peach mango fresherz with green tea and harvest fruit and nut oatmeal
    Nina J.

I'm not usually in this area and needed a coffee shop comfortable enough to catch a light lunch and work on my laptop. Friendly service and patient as I acclimated to their menu. Functional seating with several easy to access outlets and free WiFi. The peach mango fresherz with green tea was an awesome burst of peach and mango flavor with chunks of fresh fruit! While the little oatmeals are packaged, they are gluten free and I had the option of water or various milks and it tasted very good.

We ordered an iced chai latte, raspberry truffle blender, and a kids campfire cocoa. All were GREAT! Happy customers, we'll be back .

They also have a large selection of brand new games and game novelties for purchase. In the very back, behind the coffee counter is a selection of games that can be played while in the store. One good friend wrote about it, then a Yelp friend mentioned it the same day when I saw her in person. I guess those two things were a sign that I needed to visit? Journalism school taught me that three instances of something equals a trend, but I was satisfied with two things, this time. Hitherto is more than half an hour from where I live, but I made time on a Friday morning to visit. To heck with work and the PTO meeting, right? Your girl needs a chai latte! I usually exclusively drink black coffee, but I heard that the chai latte here is dope so that's what I got. I'm glad I did! It was smooth and creamy, with just the right amount of spice. I also got a chocolate chip cookie, because it had fleur de sel on it. I love sweet things with salt on them! I like to think I'm a chocolate chip cookie connoisseur, and I can spot a great CCC just by glancing at it. I wasn't even in the mood for a cookie, but after looking at the cookies in the display case, I had to get a chocolate chip cookie because I knew it would be amazing. I told myself that I would take it home and eat it later, but I ended up eating it in my car. You guys. The chocolate chip cookies at Hitherto are perfect. I don't know if they make them in-house or source them from elsewhere, but if you want a little sweet treat and you're not sure what to get (they have lots of delicious-looking baked goods), get the chocolate chip cookie with fleur de sel. It's a good thing. The space inside the coffee shop is so cozy and inviting. It's a small space, but when I visited, there were plenty of tables available. Some people were tucked into a corner playing board games, some people were behind laptops working, and some were chatting with friends. It was a nice vibe, and I'm so glad a place like this exists in Indy. I just wish it were located closer to me! Part of the shop is a space dedicated to new board games that you can purchase. They had lots of games for all ages and interests, and even my oldest kid's favorite board game, Splendor. They also have board games that you can borrow and play at your table. Bonus: They play good music here! Hitherto was exactly where I should have been at that very moment on Friday morning, and do you know why? Because when I walked in, a song that I've been rinsing and repeating was playing over the speakers (a Jose Gonzales cover of a The Knife song). What! It's not even a popular cover. I plotzed. It's so fun when things like that happen in life.

Arrived and noted that there were not many donuts in the display, but we were told they would make them for you. Okay, great. No worries. We ordered two donuts, the breakfast tacos, and a breakfast sandwich. We got milk and a regular coffee. The breakfast items came out fairly quickly, but no donuts or coffee. Kind of waited for a little and then finally had to ask, nothing was being made. Able to get my coffee and the donuts finally arrived. They were not the normal quality at all. I am not sure what they are doing. PROS: A donut place between Avon and Danville, so great for the community Parking is not an issue, but not many ways in the lot CONS: Place was not clean, tables were dirty Process to order and get items was in disarray. (they were training a new employee on the register, no issues with that at all, she was doing what she could and was being trained, they were doing a great job with that. She was not made to hurry and was learning, so all good) Items received were not the quality expected as they are making the as you order, rather than having items available so poorly made. Meaning, when they finally realized we had no donuts, they asked what we ordered and made them. The donut with chocolate icing with sprinkles was just chocolate thrown on it, melting everywhere and it was not appetizing at all. I hate to leave a bad review or a low review, but we are not planning on coming back to this facility. I will definitely try the other options.

It is a bit challenging to find parking but there are a few spots in front. I parked down the street and walked which is always an option. There are a few stairs to get in but also a ramp, and the set up has a nice aisle like space for the line and plenty of tables and chairs. It can be quite loud so keep that in mind if you want a quieter reflection time, and maybe take it to go or sit outside. They have various food items but I absolutely LOVE their peanut butter energy balls! In fact that is why I came to this location as this is where the magic happens. They make them here and send them to other Tinker locations! They are the perfect blend of savory and a tad sweet and go super well with their coffee and/or London Fog tea. Yum! I will freely admit to buying all they had on hand, and now can enjoy them at home. Yay! It is a very busy spot so not the friendliest of staff, but assumed they were already hassled from the morning. It was a great spot to meet a friend and enjoy the patio and some tea/coffee. I would for sure go back and even bring a friend! In fact I've already mentioned it to several people as a potential meet up spot! Definitely something to enjoy!

While smoothies were not ideal in cold weather, still a healthy and quick option. I was greeted as soon as I walked in then asked for a few minutes to peruse the menu. The place is bright and has comfortable seating arranged for groups or individuals. I settled on the Malibu smoothie and was surprised when told that their smoothies come in a glass that I could take with me. They use paper straws which while great for the environment is not exactly sanitary as they're sitting on the counter and not wrapped so anyone can touch them, etc. The lady serving me also put the straw in my smoothie which was ok but maybe better to keep the straws out of sight and offer to guests as needed. The smoothis itself was delicious, not too sweet as you get at other places. The paper straw even held up until the smoothie was gone. If I'm back in the area, would definitely visit again.

You will also find tons of parking available in the private lot that it shares with the other businesses in the strip mall it is located. It it located right next to the military recruiting office. They have some signature smoothies including Sunset Blvd, Newport, Santa Barbara, Malibu, and Calabasas, in addition to a few signature bowls such as an Acai bowl, blue bowl, and dragon bowl. I ordered the Hermosa smoothie, which it took about 10 minutes for them to prepare. Now they serve all of their smoothies in glass cups to save on waste. You can take the glass with you and they have a punch card that they punch when you return the glass. Ten punches (returned glasses) = a free smoothie. If that is California (not just the names of the majority of the smoothies), I do not know what is. My smoothies was pretty good and the staff there was very friendly, patient and helpful. I liked the shop's atmosphere (and did not feel like bring the glass back) so, i decided to dine in and enjoy my treat right there on the spot. For me, this was a wonderful alternative to my usual fast food. I recommend checking this place out. You will not be disappointed.
