    Roast Beast and Potato casserole
    Tiara N.

Fitzgerald's Lunch House is exactly that, a place where you can get lunch only. The hours are 11am - 2pm Monday - Friday. The sandwiches are very delicious. The roast beef is tender and warm. The sides I have had so far are the potato casserole, homemade chips that come with every meal and the Mac and cheese. Everything was warm and cook roast perfection . The restaurant has I think 4 rooms to dine in, which includes the outside sitting.

The food is amazing and the service was quick! It's obvious why this place is one of the top sandwich shops in the state. The only con is the limited hours

Looking on Yelp for a new place to try, I stumbled on this highly rated lunch spot. It is tucked away at the fort, but a very popular spot. We walked in and were immediately greeted by Mr. Fitzgerald. He could tell we were new, and offered tips and suggestions. They were already sold out of the chicken salad for the day. I opted for the Chicken Bacon Wrap and my mother got the Cubano. While we were waiting for our food, a patron recommended the mac and cheese, baked potato casserole, and soups. My mother sampled the mac & cheese and said it was REALLY good. We also sampled the House Pickle Chips. Very refreshing and tasty as well. We enjoyed all of the food. This restaurant is only open for 3 hours but offers catering. There are several table for in person dining. I highly recommend stopping in for some lunch if you're in the area. You won't be disappointed!

You order at the counter and they bring to whatever table you choose.

My friend and I live on opposite sides of town (NE vs SE) so we looked for a local lunch place in the middle. Picked Fitzgerald's due to the great reviews and they were not lying! The hospitality of the staff was top notch. They found out we had never been there before so brought us a sample of their signature side of the baked potato casserole. Yum! I got the Cubano and my friend got the Wilbur and they were both great. The place is really cute. They're only open during the week and during lunch. I will be back for sure.

Had a wonderful lunch at Fitzgeralds recently. It's only open on weekdays for lunch so I've been meaning to come here for a long time, but haven't been able to until now. Everything we had is so fresh and you can tell it's made with a lot of care. You order and pay at the counter, get a number, and then are served at your table. The atmosphere is very casual, and the interior is clean and bright. There is lots of parking available as well. We had a couple different people check on us throughout our meal which I appreciated. I got the chicken salad sandwich and it was delicious. I'm always nervous to order chicken salad since it changes so much from place to place, but this one was clearly made with fresh chicken. My dad got the Cobb salad and really enjoyed it. We both got soups, I got lemon chicken orzo and my dad got the tomato bisque. I highly recommend both. This was a delicious lunch for a reasonable price and I hope to be back soon.

WOW! What a great little spot! We've tried to visit this wonderful establishment several times, but have always missed out. Their hours are 11A-2p Monday-Friday , this alone should've told me this place is gonna be GREAT! They stay in business only being open 15 hours per week, incredible!! We stopped in on a Thursday around 12:30, the line was out the door but moved quickly. The interior Is nicely decorated, has a decent amount of tables , and they have extra patio seating! We sat on the patio as the weather was beautiful. The food?? AMAZING!! That Rooster sandwich was mouthwatering , The Maurice was ssssooooo flavorful, and the baked potato casserole was terrific!! I can't wait to try the rest of the menu!

Menu and the special was sloppy joes.

Everyone was so friendly, I've been interested in this place for awhile and glad we finally went! The food was very good and we were in and out in less than 45 minutes. The layout is unique as an old mule barn with the dining spread out. It definitely gave it a homier feel and didn't get too loud since it was sectioned off. The desserts looked really good but was trying to behave!

Delicious food, relaxed ambience, friendly waitress who chatted with our party. In all a great experience, would definitely be a regular customer if I lived in the state.

The entire staff is so very friendly here. This restaurant has a deceptively large dining area that just keeps going and going as you move towards the back. They have a pretty simple menu with sandwiches, salads and wraps. They also have daily entree and side specials that they post on their FB page. The day I was there the special was chicken and noodles and chipotle mac & cheese. The top it off they have a hot sauce bar and desserts like some huge coconut cookies. They have a down home type of vibe. It is somewhat a cafeteria style restaurant. You place your order and they make it for you from the prepared trays on the line. You then pay for it at the register at the end of the line. If you are dining in, they will bring your food to you. I got the bacon wrap with the chipotle mac & cheese special. It was fresh and delicious. The wrap was very tasty and flavorful. The bacon, lettuce, tomatoes and other ingredients were so fresh. The Mac & Cheese was cheesy and had a little chipotle kick, just like I like it. When you are done eating, you can just get up and go. They will come, get your tray and clean your table. Like I said, high quality service. The restaurant has a decent size private parking lot and is very clean. I highly recommend checking out this joint. It has great food and high quality service, all at a reasonable price. I throughly enjoyed my meal and will definitely be back soon.

The sandwich is about as long as my humerus, and I ate the whole dang thing in one sitting. New York Gourmet Deli is not to be confused with NY Gourmet Deli, also in Indy. New York Gourmet Deli is located on East 21st Street on the near east side; NY Gourmet Deli is on Ruckle Street, near The Children's Museum. Are they owned by the same people? I don't know, but someone needs to change their name so I'm less confused. Anyway, New York Gourmet Deli, on the east side, is great and located in an unassuming parking lot full of potholes. It looks like a liquor store from the outside, but step inside and you'll see the large deli counter where you order sandwiches, burgers, fries and other foods. The joint is also a convenience store, of sorts, with a wall full of refrigerated beverages, aisles of chips, candy, and lots of Mexican snacks. There's also a little corner of the store with goods like laundry detergent and other necessities. The hustle here is unmatched. The fellows behind the counter were flying all over the kitchen to fulfill the orders. I visited around noon on a weekday, which seemed to be a busy time because there were lots of people from all walks of life here, either waiting to order or waiting for their orders. The guys behind the counter were unflappable and took orders and made sandwiches at a speedy pace. Even if there's a line, you won't wait long for your food.

Service was very good with only a slight wait due to a small line. You order, they start making your order and you pay. A few minutes later the have everything ready and bagged up. I got a chopped cheese, it does reminded me of a sloppy Joe, and my only complaint was I wanted more lettuce and tomato. Richelle got the east coast roast beef and cheddar. She loved it and it had plenty of lettuce and tomato. Fries are good, and the give them a sprinkle of seasoning too. Plenty of cans of pop to choose, but would like to see a few diet pop options added. We will definitely come back, and I ask for plenty of toppings.

This will not detour me from ordering again but I wanted to share all my experiences and not just one. I also was able to call and receive my credit so I appreciate that as well! Love Jackamo pizza, Ive ordered pickup and delivery from this location multiple times since moving to the Eastside. I picked up two pizzas on Sunday. I tried for the first time a small Margarita pizza and unfortunately I did not like it due to the fact that the cheese was overpowering. When I think of a margarita pizza I think of lots of sauce, basil, and garlic with minimum cheese. I added pizza sauce because Jackamo's margarita pizza actually does not come with sauce but the cheese took over the pizza so much that it just seemed like a cheese pizza. Unfortunately in my second pizza which was a large lazyboy I discovered it had a piece of plastic wrapper in it. I was unable to call to get this fixed because it was after hours and they were closed on Memorial Day but I hope this was just a one time mistake because I would hate to stop coming here entirely.

So many different kinds of coffee, and I love that you get to pick your own mug. Cute! A different server took our order and was equally friendly and patient as it was our first time there and we had lots of questions. Everyone ordered something different so we got to try each other's entrees. I had the quiche of the day, which ended up being a huge slice--like a 1/4 quiche--and came with a side. Coworker added a pancake as her side of eggs and breakfast meat, but wanted to split the former. So we got it GF blueberry lemon pancake. It comes with real blueberries and a lemon icing drizzle that's not overly sweet yet negates the need for syrup. It was amazing and did not at all taste gluten free!
