This site is extremely spacious with plenty of indoor only seating and complementary WiFi. With drip coffee, craft coffee concoctions, and other beverages on the menu, you'll have no problem finding something to wet your whistle as you dive in to an indulgent feast of Jack's well known donut options. The staff is just lovely here! After being open only one day, patrons were flooding this site and came ready with inquiries. The staff members patiently provided answers and were total pros! For one, they have both cake and yeast donuts. This is an absolute must for me. I love my cake donuts. Their yeast donuts are probably fine, but just don't really eat plain yeast, but the filled and topped creative yeast donuts, that's my JAM (lol...). I truly enjoy their creative flavors, many of which switch up frequently, so you gotta be a repeat offender to get the full value here! You know what else I found out? The various Jack's locations have a lot of room for creativity, so it's worth it to hop to our neighborhood to try out what Irvington is doing differently (and also for us to check out the other Jack's locations as well). I might just find a different fave at EACH store! Faves at the Irivington location are - NUT STICK and Blueberry cake. I have to have one of each whenever I go. I like trying whatever is their current special too! I have had a jelly filled with pb frosting - PB&J in donut form! Bluberry filled with white frosting - Berries & Cream! This location also has ice cream and stays open until 8pm, so definitely available for dessert after pizza, burger or greek from nearby locations! And, yes, they incorporate donuts and ice cream. The roots are truly Amish - Rise 'n Roll was started by an Amish couple in a bakery that didn't use electricity, refrigeration, or modern technology. In 2009, however, that couple sold the bakery to a non-Amish couple that has worked to maintain its roots while also adding some updates (including franchising). The original owner stayed on! I was a little surprised when the Broad Ripple location, though it never quite felt like a Rise 'n Roll. Having been to the Middlebury spot on multiple occasions, Broad Ripple just felt like "too much" to me. This spot, while still nice, is a humbler location that still maintains the quality. I've never been completely fond of this strip center. It's not particularly wheelchair friendly (yes, there's a curb-cut, however, accessible parking is wonky at best). However, once inside all is forgiven. This spot opened in late 2023. While it's known for its donuts, you can also get other pastries, popcorn, and other Amish items. At this point, Rise 'n Roll has about 15 locations statewide with four in Central Indiana (Nora, Fishers, Greenwood, Westfield). Avon recently closed. As most people are told by bakery fans and employees, their real signature donut would be the cinnamon caramel donut It's a pretty remarkable donut, though I tend to go for either cinnamon rolls, traditional yeast, and occasionally something chocolate iced. I find the employees friendly, the atmosphere clean and welcoming, and the prices definitely fair. They have fundraising opportunities and it's definitely one of my favorite bakeries - it's better, at least for me, knowing that it's also one of Indiana's own.

I've written about this in other reviews about other Pana locations around Indy, but the Pana people are from Southern California, a magical place where there are more donut shops per person than any place on Earth. So, these guys know donuts. They have brought the great donuts of SoCal to Indy, for everyone to enjoy. And oh, I enjoy Pana donuts. My standard order at Pana is a glazed twist. I've never been anything but completely enraptured by a Pana glazed twist donut, and the one at this location was the same. It's sweet and sticky and chewy and slightly crisp at the ends. The proper way to eat a twist is to pull the twist parts apart with your fingers, and eat them like you're eating cotton candy -- licking the cottony bits of donut from your fingers and letting them dissolve in your mouth. If that makes sense. I guess you could just bite into a twist, but if you want a bite-into-able donut, maybe get something else. The twists are for the sensory lovers. The coffee at Pana is great, too. Is there nothing they can't do well? Anyway, this Pana Donuts has a few tables at which to sit, which is nice! Good for hanging out. "what is this?" So it was explained to them, "it's a conformation, showing my order, the time it would be ready, and what we ordered. That's what this is" OH. Now he knows what it is. And after that, it's all excuses ... Oh, Our machine this, our machine that.... I don't know if we will be back. If we do, I will tip when I get there instead of including my tip in the order because this is every time. It's ridiculous.
