I was very confused and called to see where they were located and I was hung up on not only once but TWICE! When I went inside the women working could barely speak English and had a bad attitude. Such a cute place to hang out on a day off! My friends and I split our donuts, and o loved every one that I tried. I couldn't decide between chocolate or vanilla, so the twisted tiger tail was an obvious choice! Chocolate and vanilla donuts braided together--double yum! What impressed me the most about Jack's was the huge variety of handcrafted drinks. From a simple hot chocolate or flavored coffee to HSE/Fishers inspired energy drinks and blended frappes, they really have every beverage anyone could ever want. As a self-proclaimed boba aficionado, I was super excited to try the blueberry boba. It was even better than I imagined--I loved the addition of sparkling water for an energizing fizz. The drink selection is very underrated, and I encourage everyone to live on the edge and try a new one! You definitely won't regret it. Finally, what really topped off this already perfect morning at Jack's was the service. 4 stars. They have delicious vegan doughnut! It's probably one of the best cake doughnuts I've ever had in my entire life! It's $2.50 and totally worth every penny. However, it's very rich! I doubt you'll eat if all in one sitting, and if you do... you won't want a second. They are very satisfying! The rest of the offerings are just okay, IMO. The cinnamon glazed is pretty solid. The cronut (croissant doughnut) is tasty, too. They have begun serving specialty drinks, but I've not tried any. And they deliver!! That's a bonus! Their employees wash their hands after every customer, so I can appreciate that especially with this Coronavirus pandemic waiting to ruin the world. And they hire very well - all of their employees are extremely personable and easy to chat with. The drawback for me is that they make their doughnuts at night, so they aren't hot in the store. As grew up a Krispy Kreme fanatic, and a hot doughnut is one of my favorite things in life! The plus (for the consumer) here is that they are rarely ever sold out! Y'all, I've been to jacks donuts more than my fair share as my kids love donuts. We've been to jacks since before the other shops were running in fishers. My kids have enjoyed the specialty donuts. In recent weeks, the size and quality of the donuts has gone down dramatically. A full size jelly donut sits no more then in the palm of my hand with plenty of room To spare. Most donuts are the smaller shadows of the donuts they once were. Now, I can understand downsizing for the sake of profits. However, the donuts used to be light and fluffy and now they're dense and tough. Almost like the yeast wasn't allowed to fully rise. But I'm no donut baker so I'm Going to stop guessing on that front. If it wasn't happening so consistently, I'd be far more gracious. I understand new bakers and temporary problems but this has occurred nearly every time I've bought donuts in the past three months. Despite not living in Indy, I listen to Indy radio often (thanks to online streaming). Due to this, I'd heard of Jack's plenty of times but never had them. Seeing as how I was staying in Indy for the weekend for a little R&R and shopping, and a Jack's being about a mile from my hotel, it was time to change that. I went in at 7:30am on a Saturday and was greeted with a long line snaking around the store, but it was ok because it moved very quickly. I went with a half dozen, so I could try six different donuts. Peanut butter, sprinkle stick, chocolate stick, white fluff, strawberry and a chocolate chip. The very first one I ate ended up being the best of the group: the peanut butter. My least favorite was the chocolate stick. I wrongly assumed it had fluff or cream inside of it and it did not so it was just a yeast donut with chocolate icing on top. I did not eat all six at once, just for the record. I had 3 Saturday and 3 Sunday. I'm glad I finally got to check them out and while they were good, they didn't stand out to me any more than any donuts you can get elsewhere like at a Krispy Kreme or a Dunkin. Basically, if you're a donut fan, you won't be disappointed by going here because they're pretty much the same as everywhere else. read more

My large order (5 dozen) consisted of mostly iced rolls (caramel, chocolate, or white iced) and they stacked them on top of one another with just wax paper in between. Jacks has very good donuts and is in multiple locations allowing me to get them when I have a craving. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The only negative is that their prices have shot up so much that I have begun to look for alternatives, such as Pana, which is now on 96th street. Their donuts are very good and less expensive. OMG, I love this place!!!! I hate to review this place, because everyone will be going here now. Dunkin Donuts has nothing on them. We like them better than Long's. This place hooked us on the MASSIVE apple fritters(AF). We were like Fritter "crack heads", chasing that apple high. We were calling and drive by looking for more AF several days a week. With no luck, because they don't have an AF schedule. During that AF search, we enjoyed Giant Cinnamon Rolls of assorted varieties, Tiger buns and tails. First let me start off by saying how hospitable they are! We came in for a Little Yelper's Event and they were so welcoming and friendly. There are lots of varieties, and I was FINALLY able to try a croughnut! At the owner's suggestion, we tried it with apple filling. It was really good, crispy edges, lots of glaze, and just a perfect dessert flavor. She suggested that it would taste like a Toaster Strudel. I didn't get that, but it was pretty heavenly (they also have strawberry filling). I tried the edges alone without the apple filling and they were equally good. It's a heavier pastry than a doughnut, so bring a friend. The thing that impressed me the most were the prices. Some of the newer doughnut shops charge like $4 each. Plain glazed were $1 here. Ive been a Jack's donuts of CARMEL fan since we moved here... but after finding out my youngest is gluten intolerant earlier this year, it just felt wrong to visit when he was unable to partake (that totally doesn't mean I didn't sneak by if ever given the opportunity and smash a donut in my face while driving... don't judge me!). Then a fellow GF-mom told me about this location. My son immediately balked... we've been trying all sorts of gluten-free products with moderate success, but bread products are where things really go wrong. She promised they were way better than any we'd tried and told us to call first because they sell out quickly of them... So we piled up next morning and went in search of this fabled unicorn called non-disgusting-gluten-free-doughnut. WOW! First off, this location is NICE... that was my first thought after being used to the Carmel spot. Most importantly, my son actually had a choice with the gluten-free doughnuts instead of just one after-thought offering, and they were DELICIOUS!!!! Seeing him smile and actually enjoy it and want more just warmed my mommy heart and tummy!!!! This is already taking for granted that the rest of their doughnuts are awesome. I save donuts for really special occasions or else I wouldn't be able to fit through the door. Super doughy, bready goodness with some sort of sugar/glaze/icing on top? I don't think I can describe how much I love donuts that would completely capture it. I've had Jack's at a number of events and loved them every single time, but this is the first time I've stepped into a retail location. As luck would have it, this location is right down the street from my doctor's office so I stopped by after a recent physical (ironic, right?). It was actually National Donut Day so I expected a line out the door. Well, there was no line out the door, but it was definitely busy. The staff kept things moving right along, and my super-organized self really appreciated how they had labels on their donut case of exactly what kind was what and in a grid fashion, even! I was impressed. I got my 4 donuts (2 for me, 2 for the husband - it was his birthday after all), and the staff took excellent care of me. There's nothing better than their white fluff filled donuts! (Don't sass me. It's truth.) When I pulled out the plain yeast donut (the classic), I realized IT WAS STILL WARM. Be still my heart. I enjoyed eating that more than anything at that very moment.
