2.7.26 was planning to meet a few friends but it ended up just being two of us. The downside was parking in the fishers district (awesome that it's free, was just crowded). And the interior was a little smaller than I imagined, just the front room, so our smaller duo was perfect. Whole interior probably seats about 15-20 in an industrial-ish vibe. I do tend to like something cozier. Now the upside is a friendly staff, nice looking pastries and sandwiches, and of course some custom coffee beverages. My finance and I recently moved to fishers and decided to try Java house, we got 2 iced coffee along with 3 breakfast items and payed almost $45. I had good expectations but that was short lived, both coffees were bitter and didn't taste like the coffees we ordered. The only good thing we had was the everything bagel sandwich, the kicker chicken sandwich was as hard as a brick that I couldn't even eat it and the chicken had an odd texture to it. Hilarious lack of value with these cold brew houses, still confusing as all get out for many walking to order something espresso, and I'm curious about the sugar content in the extremely rich lattes here. This is basically a coffee milkshake dessert dive. There's not one actual coffee drink here, only cold brew that gets dumped along with fancy cold foam, concentrated or basic, alongside a host of flavors and heart racing blends of caffeine and sucrose. I have had to avoid most of the signatures due to sweetness overload. I prefer my drinks balanced and serving real ingredients not pumped from plastic squirt bottles. However the atmosphere, lovely staff, and random loyalty perks, it sure does do better than Dunkin, Starbucks, and other chains. Would enjoy seeing proper crafted flavors alongside the prices, Rabble, Gaia, Blue Mind, Brickhouse, Coat Check, Commissary, and other local shops can show how it's done! read more

To be completely honest, I had never heard of Java house until they started sponsoring my favorite INDYCAR driver this year. I had saw this coffee shop when I visited Rita's, but never noticed the name. I decided to finally give an in person location a try. I had their black tea at the race track via a peel and pour pod, and it was fine. I ordered via the app. The frappes if you don't like coffee seem to mostly be build your own style, so ordering on the app is probably way easier. I did a dark chocolate, Carmel, toffee type mix. It was soooo good. It beat everything from Starbucks by a mile. It's not something I'll order a ton because of the calories and sugar, but as a treat it was amazing. The lemonade I added raspberry and it was just right too. Tart yet sweet. The restaurant was super clean and had a cozy and inviting vibe. The staff were also kind and friendly. Cute little coffee shop in Fishers! Recommended to me by a friend, I stopped in during the Indy Indie Book Crawl and ordered the Cloudy Daze, which is a seasonal drink. The iced vanilla espresso paired great with the blackberry cold foam and tasted incredibly smooth. This is sweet, but not overly sweet. Pick up a stirrer so you can mix the foam with the coffee for the best taste! Fast and friendly service - I would like to stop in again to try other seasonal offerings. This might be the best Java House yet!! I love the small inside, the way it's long and narrow makes it feel quaint and homey. I had drip coffee. Though I didn't care for the particular brew, it was still good coffee. The breakfast sandwich was to die for. They heated up perfectly. I feel like most places hardly heat it or it seems stale, but this was delish! I would say if you are looking to work independently or read a book, this is the perfect coffee shop. I was lucky and got invited to the soft opening for the new location in Fishers on November 7th. I'm a loyal fan of Java House Coffee so I'm happy there was a new addition to the area. I like to work outside of my home and mostly in coffee shops so I frequent Jave House often in their different locations. Area: Easy to locate and plenty of parking nearby between street and garage parking. Vibe: Laid back and quiet, easy to conduct remote work. Coffee: A variety of unique specialty drinks and your basic coffee. They also have seasonal specials that I love. The cold brew with cold foam is a 10 out of 10. I also tried the hot honey latte which was perfect and tasty. The signature drinks can be sugary. The last time I went the barista was happy to modify the drink. Service: The staff was friendly and gave me recommendations based on my preference. Everything comes out quickly, I usually order a bagel with my coffee. read more

Probably my most-visited Java House location, but I think this review applies for all. If you like sweet coffee drinks, this is your place. Hot or cold, they have a huge variety of flavors and toppings to craft just about whatever you are craving. Generally, I am not one for sweet coffee beverages. I'm more a black single-origin coffee or double espresso in ceramic kind of person. So why do I love Java House? I don't love caffeine, so I limit my intake of coffee in general, and that means cold brew is often strictly out of the question. But not here!! Java House is the only greater Indy cafe I know of offering decaf cold brew coffee, and it's pretty good quality, too! Ordered a 24 oz cold brew plain and they added a good amount of caramel syrup to it. Approached the barista to kindly ask if my order was incorrect, and she told me that I was wrong, explaining to me that the Ethiopian roast often has a caramel taste to it. Despite the fact that I order the Ethiopian roast cold brew every time, and this one tasted distinctly like caramel syrup. Asked kindly again if it was just a mistake and if I could have a plain cold brew remade, but she declined again telling me I was wrong. My main takeaway was that the customer is wrong here, so I write this review in hopes that I wasted my time and money so others don't have to. read more

I went to this location on a Saturday morning before walking to the Fishers farmer's market. As usual, the coffee was good, but service was slow. They were pretty crowded though so I won't hold it against them. Java House ambiance is pretty blah to me, just simple and basic, but overall it's fine. I stopped by this place the first week they opened to check out the new location. It was super clean and would be a great area to work remotely. The staff was working super hard to get everything out quickly and tasting great. I tried one of their Fall drinks - the bonfire brew (hot), and it was delicious. It was the right amount of sweetness to not overpower the drink, and the pumpkin bread was perfection. I'll definitely be back to enjoy more drinks this cozy season. read more

Coffee is always good! Food can be hit or miss. I tend to like the bakery items over the hot food options. Service is usually very good. People are friendly. One downside is it seems to take a while anytime I'm in there. Usually a ten (or more) minute wait for coffee. Love the vibes on the inside. The modern industrial look is one of my favorites! Tried Java house for the first time today and got a Honey baby latte and one of their breakfast sandwiches. It was SO good I only wish I could have gotten a larger size because the coffee was excellent! The service was quick especially for a busy Saturday morning and there was plenty of seating! First impression walking into Java house? This place is nice. Obviously, since this location is new, everything is clean and looks great. The setup reminds me of a microbrew taproom. There are seats at the counter and a few tables. Staff was being trained on the POS system and were friendly. Java House has a walk up window if you do not want to step inside. I'm not a big specialty coffee drink person so I just ordered a 16oz medium roast coffee which is smooth and nutty. It's a good cup of coffee and at $4, cheaper than a nearby alternative coffee shop. I did not order food. There was a small display of food options, which honestly did not look that great. As an iced coffee lover, someone recommended I try Java House. It isn't far from where I live so I went on a late Sunday morning. Parking wasn't an issue and I was able to find plenty of spots nearby even though it is at the bottom of an apartment building. There were a few people inside and a few people in line. I was able to order quickly but noticed that there were only 2 workers on a steady Sunday morning. I don't like that there's no way to tell how much of flavor shots or sugar packets go into a drink without having to ask. So, I really had no idea if I needed extra of anything. I ordered a 16oz Cold Brew with half/half, Splenda and Sugar free vanilla. This is my usual at any coffee place. It took quite awhile (almost 15 min) to get a pretty simple drink as the person in front of me ordered several sandwiches. The cups are a little tricky, with wide mouthed lids that slightly come off the cup at times and I'm glad I noticed this immediately. My drink was just average. It reminds me of exactly what I would make at home to be honest. It hardly had any coffee flavor. So, really, for me, it was a bit pricey ($5.20 for a 16oz.) compared to other places. It was drinkable, but I finished it quickly. I do like that they have other sugar free options outside of the vanilla though and I imagine if I ordered their signature drinks that they would be far better, however, for my simplicity, I'm still more likely to hit other places.
