The space itself is what appears to be an old schoolhouse, and it's incredibly warm and welcoming inside. There's a great mix of seating on the first floor, including community seating near a fireplace, smaller tables, and larger tables for groups. I noticed there's also an upstairs area that I didn't explore, but even just the main level felt homey and comfortable. It's definitely a spot I'd come back to for getting out of the house to work, bringing a laptop, or even meeting friends for a casual coffee date. The vibe is very cozy and inviting, and the staff was friendly and kind. The menu is thoughtfully curated, not overwhelming, but still offers a nice variety of syrups and flavors. My only small wish is that there were more loose-leaf tea options beyond black and green tea, but that didn't take away from the experience. There are many things to like about this place. They go hardcore for their concept (school themed for the one room schoolhouse), which is a definite win. And at least for the holiday season, the interior looks incredibly cozy and inviting. If you have nowhere to go for a few hours, it would be a nice place to hang out and chat with friends. However, the coffee is fine, not spectacular. And the wait on the Tuesday morning I stopped by was about 25 minutes. Maybe it was quicker in the drive thru, but then you'd miss out on the decorations. Overall, it's a cute enough place to stop by on a day off for a leisurely morning, but I don't know that I would make a special trip. read more

After an appointment in the area we decided to try this charming spot for lunch. It's a beautifully renovated old schoolhouse with indoor and outdoor seating. For folks who need it there's a convenient ramp at the entrance. One orders at the counter then they bring it out to you There is also a drive through. The staff is super friendly and helpful, guiding me through the immense number of coffee syrups with lots of patience. I tried a latte and a chicken salad croissant and both were great. I ordered an iced coffee, they gave me a cold brew. The cold brew is WAY too strong it was undrinkable. I ended up throwing mine away. The food, there was an ad for the waffle sandwich outside. It looked like a good and full sandwich. I saw the price on the menu and it was reasonable, so I got it. The sandwich is NOT what is advertised. It's a small sorry excuse for a "sandwich". We're talking two mini waffles with an even smaller sausage. I will NOT be coming back. I love supporting local businesses, but this one isn't worth it. this is a great little coffee shop just east of Saxony in Fishers. It's a little red schoolhouse that has been converted into a coffee shop. They have all the popular go to's, however my favorite is chai tea latte. they also have a selection of lunch sandwiches. I love their grilled cheese and their chicken salad on croissant. There's plenty of parking outside. There's a beautiful deck to sit at. They also have a rental space for small events and they do some catering the story behind the building is very unique and they even have some testimonial from students who went to school House number seven. Went here during a rainy morning. They had a ramp and stairs so accessible for all. I loved the vibe. Cute brick walls and tables with string lights around the inside. The staff seemed to be primarily college girls and they were incredibly friendly and welcoming to everyone. I am new to coffee drinking and they gave a really nice suggestion and when I said I was unsure about new coffee drinks (they didn't have what I would standardly order elsewhere), they offered to make me a new drink if I didn't like the original suggestion but I did! They were great. The upstairs also has a nice event space. Would recommend checking this place out or hosting an event upstairs. Seems like a solid work space too if you work from home! read more

New to the area and was excited to see this place so close to where we live. My first impressions are mediocre as it relates to the food I ordered. I would not order anything again which included a croissant as mine was without flavor and the texture was not flakey like a good buttery croissant, maybe my expectations were too high. The proprietor might look at a different supplier for that item as a suggestion. Their chicken salad was ok and they give you a good amount on the sandwich but I had to doctor mine up a bit when I got home since it seemed to be very plain just chicken and mayo. Understand many people have issues with ingredients so possibly they are trying to simply appeal to the many and not put in to many ingredients based on allergies or dislikes. This is a pretty neat cafe. It is more of a coffeehouse though. They have a drive through window, a meeting room, a small dining area, a deck and a covered patio under the deck. There is also picnic tables in the grass, in front of the cafe. The cafe has a moderate sized private parking lot that can get a bit tight at times. The cafe is historical and the name actually comes from its background. The building occupies what was a once a one-room schoolhouse that opened in the Fall of 1900. The cafe has a bunch of signature hot and cold coffee drinks, a very small breakfast menu, and lunch menu. Some of their items and their drink sizes have a school theme. I asked them for the sweetest iced coffee drink they had and got the ham and cheese croissant to go with it. I got the "Gradute" (medium size, but I did not even remember the name. I will admit, it did take a while to get my food. I would say about 10 to 15 minutes. The drink and sandwich were delicious. The croissant was packed with ham and was fresh and warm. The host events such as children's story time and bible study in the room upstairs. Of course they have free wifi, as most good coffee shops do. This is really a neat place. You can hang out indoors or outdoors and they have savory drinks, delicious lite food items and extraordinary service. I highly recommend checking this place out. read more

The building used to be a 1 room school house...so, when you walk in and to your right...you will see original photos that Commemorate what it once was....plus, they have a picture album with other photos...it's a pretty cool touch! Listen, I appreciate the ambiance of Schoolhouse 7 as much as anyone. Very cute. Also, the staff treated us well. Would be a great place to work remotely, especially that upstairs area. That said, the drinks themselves were underwhelming. The biggest problem is overheating. My kids and I both burned our tongues. And, milk loses sweetness over 160 degrees, so my latte was somewhat bitter and flavorless. I would request that management make sure that the baristas keep a closer eye on temperature. Meanwhile, my father described his coffee as "just ok." Not great, considering the small is nearly $3. In sum, my opinion is that too many of these Yelp reviews are overweighting ambiance and underweighting product. Overall, this is a mediocre cafe. read more

Great place to relax with friend(s) over coffee/tea. Sit by the fireplace on a cold day and it really feels cozy! We spent 2 hours just talking, eating a snack and enjoying our choice of beverages. Every once in a while, I just love to go read or simply sit in a coffee shop to unplug and unwind. This is the perfect spot for it! Tucked away in an old schoolhouse with a rich history and several details kept intact, Schoolhouse 7 is absolutely the coziest. It's totally updated (like with the really nice fireplace that you can sit by indoors OR outdoors!) but there are tons of cool nods to the past--for example, the bar is made from the old flooring and thankfully, they kept the amazing original brick walls! There are always unique drink options--this year for the holidays, I really like the reindeer tracks latte which is like toffee and mocha. Occasionally I come here to work, but it's not a great place to take a zoom call or have a meeting. It is wonderful that an old Indiana Schoolhouse has been saved. I actually passed the area where another one I once did woodworking in was a gravel lot on my way there. A meaningful coincidence and comparison. LOVED the sandwiches, as well as the high ceilings, wood floors and feel of Schoolhouse 7. Had a nice time! But, later that night, a serious concern set in with me. They serve every meal there, regardless of whether it's dine in or take-out, in a styrofoam box. Those go to landfills and do not break down. I couldn't stop imagining what Schoolhouse 7's dumpster looks like every day or three when it's trash is hauled away. Businesses need to stop using styrofoam unnecessarily, and, ultimately, completely. Please adjust your practices with regard to this issue, Schoolhouse 7. It DOES matter. They have a bacon jam grilled cheese, it sounded so interesting so I had to try it! It's really delicious if you like a cheesy grilled cheese which I do! I got that along with the tomato soup.
