It wasn't until the Yelp's Cosmetic Crawl event that I stopped by HoiTea ToiTea in Keystone Mall and was introduced to the goodness that is Nelson's Tea. HoiTea ToiTea sells their loose leaf at their stand in Keystone Mall. I had never seen so many unique types. I initially ordered the Vanilla Almond Coconut tea and loved it so much that I ran out. I placed another order this week and this time opted to try some others (their website is so wonderful and full of dream concoctions): lemon mint, bourbon ginger pear, and chamomile lavender. They even threw in an extra sample: vanilla cinnamon orange. So nice! You can order the loose leaf tea in different sizes, including fun sample sizes that allow you to experiment and branch out. It's scorching hot outside, so iced is the way to go. I got medium instead of large because sometimes large is just too much. My drink was ready quickly. At first, I was a little disappointed with the presentation because it didn't look like the photo in the app. I probably should have added whipped cream, but once I took my first sip, I was completely satisfied. I also got a chocolate chip cookie, because it had fleur de sel on it. I love sweet things with salt on them! I like to think I'm a chocolate chip cookie connoisseur, and I can spot a great CCC just by glancing at it. I wasn't even in the mood for a cookie, but after looking at the cookies in the display case, I had to get a chocolate chip cookie because I knew it would be amazing. I told myself that I would take it home and eat it later, but I ended up eating it in my car. You guys. The chocolate chip cookies at Hitherto are perfect. I don't know if they make them in-house or source them from elsewhere, but if you want a little sweet treat and you're not sure what to get (they have lots of delicious-looking baked goods), get the chocolate chip cookie with fleur de sel. It's a good thing. The space inside the coffee shop is so cozy and inviting. It's a small space, but when I visited, there were plenty of tables available. Some people were tucked into a corner playing board games, some people were behind laptops working, and some were chatting with friends. It was a nice vibe, and I'm so glad a place like this exists in Indy. I just wish it were located closer to me! Part of the shop is a space dedicated to new board games that you can purchase. They had lots of games for all ages and interests, and even my oldest kid's favorite board game, Splendor. They also have board games that you can borrow and play at your table.
