Nicely decorated building, super easy to spot, though if you miss it, look for the Rally's, it's right by that. Inside, there is plenty of space. They could probably add a gaming (of any kind) and/or comics area and they would still have extra room leftover. The toys are a decent mix of some vintage items and a lot of re-releases. And it's a little bit of everything. Funko pops, Star Wars, Wrestling, a bunch of 80s IPs, Barbies, Legos, small selection of old video games, etc. They could probably do with a bit more organization and maybe find one thing to do really well. I believe they're fairly new, so hopefully it's just a matter of still getting the place ready. But there's a lot of potential there.

Stopped in here today with my husband and son. It's a toy shop that holds vintage pieces. It's quirky and a toy lovers dream.

We went to Toy Pit in search of Funko Pop collectibles and found their huge selection a lot of fun to peruse. With arcade games, retro toys, and even vinyl recordings, there's something fun for everyone!

The new store is a substantial upgrade and seems at least twice as big. The mural on the outside is on another level. Inside, there is so much more on display, it will give you pause. Give yourself at least an hour to browse and visit often as their collection of toys and memorabilia is always changing. For me, looking at the Star Wars and G. I. Joe toys from the 80s was like a stroll down memory lane. They have something for everyone and is absolute must visit.

The Toy Pit is a place I have been wanting to see since they moved to their 38th and College location. It was closed the last time (Monday) so I took advantage of having a meeting in the area and visited today. Location is LARGE which allows for many display cases and shelves full of new and used toys, posters, masks, records, video game, dolls and figurines, models, comic books, clothing, board games, cards, etc. etc. there is a bank of pinball machines on the right as you enter. Pretty good collections of so many items you have a good chance of discovering something you are looking for. I will let my pictures tell the story. Check their days and hours before you head out. Enjoy.

I'm about to set forth on an adventure to sell my toy collection and random Lego figures. If no one contacts me then I'm sure to sell to Toy Pit. These guys are friendly and knowledgeable. The store is neatly organized with the Funko Pops picked through. Regardless, for 80's, 90's and beyond for toys, this is the spot. I had a great time here and could hear others talk about toy nostalgia like it was yesterday. I'll be back next time I'm in town!

Staff was quick to assist with any questions. Lots of interesting toys. They have some fun old video game posters and murals. Definitely worth a visit. Plenty of parking.

Absolutely Amazing!! I was looking for some specific Star Wars items for my collection and I've never been to the Toy Pit. Found them immediately, they were incredibly helpful searching for some other items I was in the market for too. Pricing was fair and true, and the team there is incredible!

    Even the entrance is promising

I can't believe I now just discovered this place!! I started getting into collectibles this year after going to a few conventions and man I wished I knew this place existed. But all is well and I have a new go to for my new addiction...err I mean hobby, yes hobby. The Toy Pit is located right by I69 and 96th street so it was fairly easy to get to. Once I stepped inside I knew I arrived. This place is kinda big and filled with toys, figures, collectibles, vinyl records, comic books and more. I spent what seemed like a good hour just hunting through all their merchandise. I gotta say it was so much fun doing it as well. They even had 2 WWE Funko Pops I've been looking for (Sasha Banks and AJ Styles), which were at reasonable prices!! They also had so many genres to choose from: Pro-wrestling, Star Wars, Marvel, Anime, video game characters, Simpsons, Star Trek, DC, Ninja Turtles, Power Rangers, GI JOE, Transformers, rock stars, heck they even had Buffy The Vampire Slayer figures. I could keep going really. Did I mention they have pin-ball machines? Yep, 4 of them!! I really had a good time toy hunting here! The staff was awesome and it didn't break the bank either. I truly hope you check this place out, even if you're not into collecting you might find some pop culture item you'd like to display somewhere in your home or office. I'll definitely be returning to The Toy Pit!!!

It was an excellent store. And thanks to them, I got a trex figure that I wanted it and got it for -30 of the actual price!

No biggie, just a tower of jumbo Funkos

I'm such a toy nerd that's why I was shocked that I didn't know about this place. I recently got into collecting childhood toys and I was wishing my little girl heart out that there was a store nearby that I could peruse for hidden childhood gems. I look up food and services on Yelp..why not toy stores? (Ty Yelp, you know why I love you.) The outside of the Toy Pit is very understated. The inside made me stand in awe for a few. It was truly mind boggling to me at how many toys are in this place. Practically floor to ceiling. I saw a lot of favorites like Transformers, Star Wars, TMNT and Thundercats. The Gundam selection is also pretty impressive. Picking through the Funko Pops was fun..there were a lot that I didn't know existed. Like the jumbo Deadpool Squirrelpool we purchased. My handsome flocked dude is watching me type up this review. I'll be returning soon to pick up some Littlest Pet Shop figures to repaint (my other new hobby) and I have my eyes on some of the anime figurines too. 100% recommend the Toy Pit. Even if it's just to browse for that feel good childhood nostalgia. Tip: I found their IG page @thetoypit and they are pretty active. They let you know if store happenings and hour changes.

My hubby was in heaven looking around and told me I am officially in charge of making yelp use a 6 star system so I can give them 6 stars. They have wall to wall and several aisles stocked full of product. They even have a buy 2 items under $3 get the 3rd item under $3 free. They have loads of dvds/blurays, cds, some books/manga, old and new games and systems, and some awesome collectibles. The employees definitely were the cherry on top. He was telling us about the setup of the store, deals the have and about their trade in policies (which are the states policy and super intense to stop stolen items from being sold. They even do fingerprints). My husband is officially obsessed with this store and if he could live here he would. We had to go back to the hotel to grab a game to trade in and on the way back he said "I love this place. I know we aren't there but I'm going to talk like we are because my soul is there". I have no doubts we will be back. We ended up getting a few different things and we were pleased with everything.

What was even better was their variety of vinyl, and I ended up purchasing two LPs and one CD. Prices for either medium were either reasonable for used or overpriced, not really in the middle. A lot of their collection, including the CDs, is behind glass, which makes it not as easy for a shopper to quickly check out the inventory before buying.

And now I want to bring my kids to see if Warhammer is something they might be interested in! I popped into Games Workshop because I happened to be visiting a restaurant in the same shopping center. It had the word "games" in the name, so I had to check it out. Turns out, the store is all about one particular game: Warhammer. I had heard of Warhammer, but I didn't know an entire store could be dedicated to it. Indeed, an entire store can be dedicated to Warhammer! There are kits and mini figures, and paints to paint your figures, and tables at which to play the game, if you want. They have a lot of product in the store, but they can also order things for you, from what I remember. There are also some cool displays set up. I like mini things, so to see such intricate scenes set up is really fun, even if I have no idea what the context is in terms of game play. If you're into Warhammer, this is the place to be. And if you don't know about Warhammer but think it might be something you want to try, this is also the place to be because they will help you out here, and are very welcoming to newbies.

I'm not a teenage boy (as far as you know), but I also think Disc Replay is quite neat. It has an amazing collection of used video games for a variety of platforms, like Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo DS, Gameboy, Wii, and even games for systems that old heads like me were brought up on, like the original Nintendo, Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis. The prices for these used games are suuuuuper good. Like, I was seeing price tags with $1.99 and $3.99 on them. We picked up a Plants vs. Zombies Nintendo DS game for $14.99, which according to my kid was a good price for a game he really wanted. They sell everything from refurbished Meta Quest VR headsets to Tamagotchi, which I didn't even know kids played still! Wow! A blast from the past.
