Back again and I love this place! Indy has such an incredible book store scene and now I know every time I'm in the area, I'll be stopping in. I just love how they divide the space, the beautiful book covers they have, and the non book items they have here as well! This time I finally got a Mary Oliver book and also plan to start the Mistborn series!

The first book shop I've been in recently where I purchased a book right away. The atmosphere is light, open, and comfortable. Everything is beautifully displayed and there is a great variety of books and other gifts. I love the kids area! There is a small table with toys surrounded by bookshelves of kids books. I felt comfortable letting my toddler play while I looked through the selection of children's books. The space was really well designed and welcoming. I'll be back!

I stopped in at Golden Hour as part of the Indie Indy book crawl. I love their space and book selection! You'll find popular best sellers as well as some more unique small press books as well. They have a nice children's section and plenty of space to browse. The cashier was friendly and prompt. What a great local place to buy your next read!

I visited Grand Books at their grand opening today. A woman owned business very close to downtown and right on the main street of College avenue was a perfect location! I reached at 10:30 and expected no customers but the place was buzzing with people of all ages and from all walks of life. With a kid friendly zone and books of different genres the store was a pretty picture of knowledge and learning! The owner Sara Somers has chosen different books which showcase not so famous author and pretty covers, so don't be surprised if you don't find your popular book selling titles in there. I personally loved the choices I was given and absolutely enjoyed my visit today!

I love Indy Reads! You can donate used books on the first Friday of every month. It's a great way…read moreto clear out your bookshelf and feel better about purchasing a book on your way out. Not only is it a non-profit bookstore that will have you walking out with at least one book in hand, but it also has English literacy and other educational classes and opportunities! There is also a book club, author events, and children reading events. A true gem within the Fountain Square Community.

After parting with the vinyl shop we turn the corner and come across books outside noted FREE... we…read moreimmediately made a b-line over to take a look and see what they had to offer. There were alot of books to choose from. we were all able to find something . After which we went in to take a look around. They had a wonderful selection of childrens books, rare books as well. Its a medium sized spot but they fit a childrens corner in. I was pleased to find vintage Richie Rich and Sugar and Spike comic books for 1.00. This was certainly a wonderful place to stumble upon which had alot of gems inside. The vintage type writers were a really cool touch as well. Everything about this place was inviting and warm. At the cash register I came across an assortment of stickers and if you know me, you know I love stickers..Of course I grabbed a couple to complete my purchase. There is a space right by the door that has a sitting area, the leather chair was so comfortable but it was thw huge leather ottoman for me and the chess set that makes you wanna learn to play, if you do t already no how too. I could spend hours sitting and reading. Finally it was time to go but I will most certainly be back to see what other treasures I can find. Until next time Indy reads!!!

I managed a trip in to Dream Palace Books and Coffee before they closed, which I hadn't even heard…read moreabout until it happened! They had a really nice collection of books across all genres, though I never bought any so I don't know how pricing was. The main seating area was also nice, with some bar seating, some smaller tables, and a larger meeting table. I think the pricing was reasonable. My only hiccup was not realizing they had a decent sized tea menu, because they didn't have tea listed on their wall menu, instead leaving it to a laminate on the counter which I didn't see until I already placed my order. I got a chai latte that was pretty good but I found it to be rather sweet. I can't say I'd come back again, mostly because I can't come back again. I suppose it's just an unfortunate timing on my part to have only made my first visit in their final week of operation.

This place was the perfect place to work from. There are plenty of tables and plenty of outlets! I…read moreworked from there in a Saturday morning and it wasn't too busy, but also not completely empty which was great! I got the seasonal latte, which was some type of spiced latte, but only came hot and with oat milk. When I get oat milk lattes from other places (ahem, Starbucks), the oat flavor of the milk is so heavy and overwhelming that I can't taste the flavor of the latte. Not here!! I could barely taste the difference from dairy milk- it was steamed perfectly, had cute latte art, and tasted so good. I did have to ask what the seasonal latte was, but the barista was very helpful and knowledgeable. I also got the cardamom and pepper scone, which was SO GOOD! I can be pretty skeptical of scones since a lot of places in the US serve them crumbly and hard, or way too sweet. This was the PERFECT scone. It was slightly savory, soo soft, and perfectly baked. I will be back for this scone alone if not anything else. They also have breakfast sandwiches and breakfast burritos, which I was happy to see, but did not try this time. They have a small selections of books, but admittedly I was just there to work and didn't peruse that section this time. There was street parking right out front that was easy to snag a spot in, and pretty cheap for the amount of time I was there.
