This is the place where you'll find some used treasures, but also new books and and some rare and collectible books. Whenever I visit a new bookstore, I gravitate to the children's section. This bookstore has lots of children's books, from picture books to graphic novels. I saw some ancient Nancy Drew novels, with original covers. I'm not a Nancy Drew head, but I can appreciate a vintage mystery collection when I see one. One of the best things about Fallen Leaf Books is that they leave (leaf?) you the eff alone. I don't remember if anyone greeted me or talked to me, and frankly, I don't care. All I need in a bookstore is books and cozy nooks and quietude, and that's what you'll find here.

As a frequent flyer I am a habitual browser (and random item purchaser) of fun gift shops and booksellers within airports. With IND being my home Airport I have been dismayed over the years that the shops have only been engaging or enjoyable to browse when the holiday merchandise of "A Christmas Story" comes through...Not anymore!!! ink by Hudson is a very welcome addition to not just the airport, but my new flight routine! Not anticipating a fun new store, ink was an exciting discovery today! There is a wide selection of books and a variety of Knick knacks and gift items that bring the store closer to what I see (and shop within) in larger airports I frequent like Boston, Charlotte, or LaGuardia! I was pleased to find markup minimal and on some items non existent, a rarity in airports these days. I encourage anyone with some spare time to stop in, perhaps just before an order of the famous shrimp cocktail of Harry and Izzy's?!

I love Tomorrow Bookstore. It's a small but mighty shop run by kind people. Their collection blends books and zines you haven't heard of yet with popular titles you often see and ones in between. They have a good range for different ages, too, with a nice young adult section, children's books, and middle grade as well as the plentiful shelves for adults. There's a local author shelf and there's a fun mix of local talent there in a variety of genres and age categories--plus sometimes, signed copies. They do carry some gift items like candles, and their custom stickers and apparel make me smile. The little book guys are fun! Tomorrow is well worth a stop if you're downtown. Whether you're wanting a book haul or supporting local with a sticker purchase, you'll find something here. Parking on Mass Ave is metered, but free on Sundays! There's also a parking garage nearby, and if you don't mind a walk, you may find some of the limited free street parking.

I purchased a book that's been on my to-read list for some time (Nightbitch) and a new book that I've never heard of before, but was very intrigued by (Strange Pictures). Knocking 1 star off because there is a very bad odor, like something is wrong with the plumbing, inside the whole shop and it cut my visit way shorter than I had planned because I couldn't stand breathing it in any longer.

This was certainly a wonderful place to stumble upon which had alot of gems inside. The vintage type writers were a really cool touch as well. Everything about this place was inviting and warm. At the cash register I came across an assortment of stickers and if you know me, you know I love stickers..Of course I grabbed a couple to complete my purchase. There is a space right by the door that has a sitting area, the leather chair was so comfortable but it was thw huge leather ottoman for me and the chess set that makes you wanna learn to play, if you do t already no how too. It was also difficult to walk through the store as everything was pretty tightly packed in. The lady who checked me out was very kind. We had a brief discussion about the interview I was waiting to attend. She told me to remember to just keep breathing, which I appreciated greatly. Besides that interaction, no one else in the store talked to or approached me. It would have been nice to be welcomed in. Altogether, though, a very sweet shop ! With a ton of variety.

For someone who is looking for books, it was like walking into a hoarder's home with a wall full of disheveled books. They were all used, not in any specific order, and seemed to be thrown into the bookshelf with no rhyme or reason. Across the way is a mirror of a shelf situation, but with all the board games you could think of. It looked like a great space to hang out with friends and play a game. Books seem like an afterthought here. The brew area is noted, so anyone under 21 cannot walk into. The hops are extremely fragrant within the store. Also, in this area are most of their Funko Pops, which is strange, because children cannot shop them. This place was just not for me, but that doesn't mean it isn't for those who are looking for community and connection through brews and games. Go for everything else besides the books...

The Whispering Shelf features a fabulous assortment of stationery/ cards, gifts, books with handwritten recommendations (always a sucker for these little personal touches from a bookstore) and an expensive children's section. I was especially enamored by the children's section and display. There were several interactive elements to keep kids busy while you peruse the shelves (smart!). They offer a variety of events throughout the month for book clubs, storytime and more. Can't wait for more future visits and to do our Christmas shopping here!

Even with all the space they look pretty busy whenever I pass by, but that's only been on weekends, so it may be quieter during the week. On a weekend afternoon, though, you will not find quiet here. They have all the standard drinks you expect at a coffee shop and lots of fun specials, but the food selection is a little limited. I think they normally serve soup Mon-Sat but they were out when I got there. I got a bagel with schmear, a zebra (chocolate crinkle) cookie, and one of the February specials called "Opposites Attract" which was a raspberry chai latte. Everything I got was pretty good, especially the fresh, chewy zebra cookie. They warmed it up which made it just a little gooey. The raspberry chai was an interesting combination. i wasn't completely sold on the raspberry - I didn't dislike it but probably wouldn't get it again - but I think I liked the chai itself. The baristas and bookstore staff were all welcoming, and the vibe is very inclusive. I've come in and looked around the store a few times, and the staff seems approachable if you need anything but will leave you alone if you're just browsing.

I visited turn the page with a gift card and I loved their selection of books which was a combination of local Indy authors, best sellers and some really good picks by the store owners themselves. I had a great time chatting and picked up a book basis the book keeper and a friendly customers recommendation. The store is small but still houses lovely reading couches and a kids play area. This is a nice spot if you are looking for something quite but not too far! They have their own book clubs and authors book reading events so do check it out!
