If he…read morealso says that he could spend all day in your shop and not get bored, you probably have something good going. It's hard to impress teenage boys. I'm not a teenage boy (as far as you know), but I also think Disc Replay is quite neat. It has an amazing collection of used video games for a variety of platforms, like Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo DS, Gameboy, Wii, and even games for systems that old heads like me were brought up on, like the original Nintendo, Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis. The prices for these used games are suuuuuper good. Like, I was seeing price tags with $1.99 and $3.99 on them. We picked up a Plants vs. Zombies Nintendo DS game for $14.99, which according to my kid was a good price for a game he really wanted. They sell everything from refurbished Meta Quest VR headsets to Tamagotchi, which I didn't even know kids played still! Wow! A blast from the past. That's another thing: If you're a person of a certain age and you want to wax nostalgic about your middle school/high school years to the teenager you brought with you, visit Disc Replay. In the back of the store are aisles and aisles of used DVDs and Blu-Ray movies. My teenager asked me if this is what Blockbuster used to look like. Bless his heart. I said no and patiently described the wonder that was Blockbuster. Kids today just won't ever know; it's a dang shame. But thankfully, physical media is still a thing, and if you want to pick up a DVD copy of You Don't Mess with the Zohan, you can do that here. The people who work at Disc Replay are friendly and know their stuff. They answered our questions, and you can tell they don't only sell video games and movies, but they partake in this culture, too.

HobbyTown is located in the long strip center adjacent to the former Weekends Only (and soon to be Vasa Fitness). It's definitely not the most active strip center, however, it seems like a good location for this type of business. HobbyTown is a franchised retail toy/hobby store with over 100 locations nationwide including three in Indiana (Granger and Evansville also have one). It's based in Nebraska. HobbyTown has a bit of a retro vibe, craft store meets hardware store meets toys like RC vehicles, RC aircraft, models, toys, games, learning toys, arts and crafts, and trains. I would probably describe myself as a wannabe hobbyist. I found myself completely captivated by the trains, RC options, and some of the models. I loved models as a kid - I was lousy at putting them together, but I really enjoyed it. They also had more board games than I expected. Parking here is pretty easy. It's not the most accessible building, however, it's not far from Concentra with a great curb cut. The store itself was pretty easy to get around, though aisles are occasionally a bit crowded. I had no difficulty and found the place friendly and helpful. The prices are pretty consistent with other hobby/toy shops. Yes, you can spend a lot here. For sure. You can also find affordable hobby options and gift options. A five-star might be a tad generous, however, I really liked the place and loved the variety of toys and hobbies. I enjoyed hanging out for a bit and got some great ideas. I'd say it's pretty certain I'll be back.

I asked an employee what was going on with the lack of restocking and he said they just can't get things since Christmas. They didn't restock before that (not just train items out of stock) so that doesn't make sense to me. The older men that work there are not very friendly at all. If you ask them something about anything they act like you're stupid if you didn't already know. They are just rude old grouchy men. So because of those issues I'm done going there. It is too bad because at one time it was a great place to go. I guess I will buy more online and look my questions up there as well. I wonder if they are getting ready to close?

I'm always so happy in this store. I drive far to just spend time here still. Barnes & Nobles one of the only true safe places in this state for EVERYONE! That is a hard thing to achieve! I decided to go by the Noblesville, IN, location since I live nearby and browse the books. I found one that was really good. I take it to the front desk and walk to the first guy available. He rudely says I need to go to the other cashier who was already busy with another customer. I'm like OK. So when the other cashier was done and I told her that I wanted to purchase this book with a gift card; that's when I was forced into Barnes & Noble hell. The cashier apparently knew nothing about B&N policies, their gift card program, or even good customer service! Rather than go into specifics, this cashier tells me I could not use the gift card IN the store but had to use it ONLINE! I'm like what? You mean to tell me I have the book I want in my hand but I've got to go online to order it and pay shipping fees? She says yes and I thought she was absolutely nuts! It didn't make sense. So I press on telling this cashier I've done it before! She insists I couldn't use it in-store! I thought instantly my poor daughter who sent me the card was doing something nice for her dad and look at this stupidity! The cashier then consults the other rude cashier and he says thee same thing and I slam the book down and tell them I will NEVER shop at Barnes & Nobles again! The I call customer service for B&N and who do I get? Some Filipino 8000 miles away! I go home and do my research and nowhere on the B&N website does it say a customer can only use a gift card online. My experience at B&N changed my entire day! But while I'm on the subject of negative impressions of B&N, this new location is much smaller and there is a serious lack of place to sit and peruse the books! The chairs that are available are like those at the airport. Don't get up for a moment because someone is waiting and will take your seat since they are a hot commodity there! Also why is there a lack of technology magazines like the ones B&N used to carry? The magazine selection looks like the ones that used to be at CVS and other pharmacies! I will most certainly go ONLINE in the future to get my books. There are choices like Thriftbooks and Amazon available for my book buying rather than subject myself to the tyranny and very poor customer service of B&N.

This place works great for me because it's really close to my house and it's locally owned. That way I don't have to drive a long way to find what I need for my Dungeons and Dragons campaign. The Hero's Emporium has always had a great selection of brushes, paints, and miniatures that I have come to rely heavily upon as a Dungeon Master. I am always able to find the miniatures that I am looking for whether that be a female gnome paladin or several packages of gnolls that I can paint and throw at my party. All the miniatures are very reasonably priced too, so I can get even larger miniatures like a storm giant for only around $15. For as long as miniatures take me to paint, this is well worth the money. I also want to mention that they offer a decent selction of dice sets to choose from, which is important for any D&D campaign, especially when your dice are fickle. I also love that they offer both old and new sourcebooks for D&D as well as official Nolzurs paint sets, and Icons of the Realms. This gives me a large pool to choose what will be most exciting for my party. Finally I wanted to mention that this business has also done tabletop nights. Although I personally have not attended one of those events, I support the space this business is building for the tabletop community. The staff has also always been very welcoming and helpful, making sure that I am finding everything that I am searching for. I am also occasionally able to find expansion packs for a bit more obscure card game called Smash Up here, which is delightful considering that it's so hard to find in just a regular store like Target. I will continue to come back and support this business in their mission to help the tabletop community thrive.

And now I want to bring my kids to see if Warhammer is something they might be interested in! I popped into Games Workshop because I happened to be visiting a restaurant in the same shopping center. It had the word "games" in the name, so I had to check it out. Turns out, the store is all about one particular game: Warhammer. I had heard of Warhammer, but I didn't know an entire store could be dedicated to it. Indeed, an entire store can be dedicated to Warhammer! There are kits and mini figures, and paints to paint your figures, and tables at which to play the game, if you want. They have a lot of product in the store, but they can also order things for you, from what I remember. There are also some cool displays set up. I like mini things, so to see such intricate scenes set up is really fun, even if I have no idea what the context is in terms of game play. If you're into Warhammer, this is the place to be. And if you don't know about Warhammer but think it might be something you want to try, this is also the place to be because they will help you out here, and are very welcoming to newbies.

The LEGO Store during Insider Weekend is clearly where all logic goes to die…read more We walked in telling ourselves we'd just look around. That lie lasted about 30 seconds. Syd, the door greeter with Jedi-level enthusiasm, and Solomon, the cashier who could probably talk a Sith into signing up for Insider points, guided us straight toward the 4x sets. And like good Padawans, we obeyed. We left with the Flower Bouquet (10345), the Pink Flower Bouquet (10342), the LEGO Space Shuttle Aircraft (10360), and the 747 Transport Plane. Nostalgia hit hard and our wallets didn't stand a chance. Somewhere in the distance, we heard the faint echo of "It's a trap," but our inner children were already doing victory laps. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly masters of their craft. Equal parts Jedi mentors and retail therapists. The whole experience was fantastic, even as we watched our adult restraint crumble into a pile of colorful bricks. The LEGO Store is proof that the Force is strong... and so is our inability to say no to childhood happiness. 10/10, would go broke again.
