I went to Kohls for an Amazon return, as a note-- the returns are done at a kiosk in the back at the store, not the customer service/return desk at the front. Other than the confusion tied to that misunderstanding, all was as expected. Not one employee spoke to me outside of the team member who checked in my return and the team member who initially told me to head to the back to the store. The store appeared clean, and the employee Checking in my return was efficient. read more

I was running errands on my day off from work and decided to stop into Kohl's to see if I could find some deals. I normally do not shop at Kohl's because I never find anything I want and they tend to over price their items at Kohl's. I went to the clearance section of the store, and they did have some great deals on Yankee candles. I was able to get a couple candles at a huge discount, along with a couple articles of clothing at a good price. The staff were not very helpful at all. I walked by a couple staff members and they said hello, but you could tell that they did not want to be there. If you shop at Kohl's, you pretty much are on your own. I would not rely on any assistance from the staff, because they will give you an attitude, or act like they don't care. That was my experience at this location. The Kohl's rewards program is good if you shop regularly at Kohl's, but I do not shop at Kohl's, so it is not worth it to me. All in all, Kohl's does not appeal to me personally, but if you are lucky, you can find some good deals. read more

I will never shop at Kohls ever again! The customer service is horrible. I always buy clothes from there and decided to purchase lipstick at Sephora inside Kohls store. I tried it and did not like it so I went to exchange it on 09/25 for a different item. Now keep in mind in the Sephora app it shows the purchase at the kohls location and even states this. The disrespectful girl that worked there tells me no return or exchange without a receipt! Tell me where it says that!!!! She did not care and can see it was purchased but would not . It had the bar code and everything attached and it was only a week. My family and I spend thousands of dollars at your store and i will give my business elsewhere. Your sarcastic employee decides to tell me have a nice day while laughing as I was leaving. Bottom line the way you treat customers you will be closing soon! I'm a big Kohl's fan. I opened a Kohl's charge earlier this year and have been really pleased with the Kohl's cash, YesToYou rewards, etc. that I rack up from buying a few clothing items and a home decor piece here and there. I never pay full price for anything here! This store gets a lot of traffic so it can be unkempt at times but I've never had a bad experience here. I am not a huge fan of this location. It is so small. I'd rather go to the one on Michigan Road. But if I need to run in for something like using my Kohl's cash or if I am in the area. Whack location. Spent a good 10 mins in Sephora without a single person working there. Spent another five mins waiting for someone to show up at checkout. Had to call customer service to get someone to help. Lady came over without a single greeting. We greeted her and she didn't say a single freaking word in return. Didn't know what she was doing at all and wasn't even able to check me out. She called for someone else and that person didn't even show up! I just gave up and left. Worst customer experience. This is probably the most organized Kohl's I've ever visited. Even the toy section -- which is notorious for being a wreck in any department store (kids are messes, don't you know) -- was nice and tidy. When I went to check out, the line was four men deep, so I thought for sure I'd be waiting a while, but I waited no more than a couple of minutes to check out. Nice! I used to shop at Kohl's a lot when I was in middle and high school because they have a pretty big juniors department. However it always seemed liked the clothes were cheaply made for bodies that real women don't have, and I was never impressed. Adding to that unimpressed feeling was the messy racks and shelves and filthy dressing rooms. I'm talking dust bunnies on dust bunnies on dust bunnies. I didn't want to take my shoes off when trying on clothes (surely a humorous sight when trying on pants). So I avoided Kohl's, at least this location, for a while. Fast forward to this past Black Friday, and my mom and I find ourselves at Kohl's just seeing what deals we can get. Little did we expect to score major steals. While the check out line was an hour and a half long, associates allowed a chance to skip the line for anyone who opened up a Kohl's card that day. So I did, and we ended up saving an additional 25%! While I likely won't be shopping for clothing here in the future, I'm sure to be a regular within their home goods and decor. There are always sales going on. If you walk out of Kohl's paying full price, you're doing it wrong. read more

So angry with Kohl's, but to be fair, I will do a compliment/complaint sandwich. Compliment - I love the Amazon return feature. I ordered something in the wrong color, took it back to Kohls and it was easy as pie. Complaint - I was looking for something very specific that would have taken 5 mins to ask an employee, grab and leave. But that's not what happened. After trying to find an employee for 10 minutes, her radioing someone 4 times for assistance, then that employee saying they didn't have it in stock (although the system said they had 3), I walked out the door 30 minutes after entering completely empty handed. I then called another location for assistance, and was on hold for 10 minutes without speaking to anyone. I ended up going to Target, got exactly what I needed in 5 minutes, and spent half the price. Last compliment - thank you to the first employee I spoke to. You left a project you were working on, and tried your best to help me. I wish all Kohls employees were so helpful. Moral of the story - just go to Target and save yourself at least a half hour of your life. read more

It's better than the noblesville store but they are not customer oriented. They had a glitch in Their system that didn't allow me to return an item. I spent hours trying to get help on this and I was eventually given a number to call. After being on hold and hung up on, I eventually reached a person who couldn't help me. They did give me the date of my last purchase but couldn't confirm what it was. The sales person said I had no purchases in the last 60 days which was inaccurate. I called kohls and spoke with the floor manager who reluctantly looked up the purchase based on the date I gave her since they couldn't look my rewards up for some reason. She found the receipt so I had to waste gas and time to go back to the store to return an item that should have been done in the first place. No offer of coupons or store cash for my time and gas going back and forth due to their glitch. Sephora has been in the store for over a year so you would think that glitch would have been resolved. We live smack dab in between two Kohl's locations, and it seems like lately, regardless of which one we go to, it's always been gone through heavily and impossible to find anything. I get the back to school rush and change of season sales, but I'm looking for business clothes, not skinny jeans and cut off hoodies... either way, I almost always come out of the store with a purchase. One critique I have is about the dirty dressing rooms. I worked in retail management for 3 years, you gotta keep the dust bunnies from taking over your fitting rooms. First, I don't like the feeling of being herded like cattle entering the store. Second issue, clothing is strewn around like the laundry cart at a high school locker room. Last issue, mens wear selection is clearly not a priority to this store. I get it, it's a discount store. I was just looking at dresses and discovered wonderful clearance items. I bought Chaps dresses for $20 - $27 (marked down about 70-80% off). The red as well as blue dresses are flowing like a wrap look. Also, I bought a navy blue dress with lace top and sleeves. I feel like Kohl's is a hit or miss kind of store. Sometimes I walk out having spent more money than I planned on and sometimes I walk out empty-handed. Lately is has been the latter. I wander through the store grasping my 20% off coupon, desperate to buy something, and more often than not leave empty-handed. And about the 20% coupon -- if you plan to shop here, definitely open a Kohl's charge to take advantage of the monthly coupons you will receive in the mail. The "original prices" on Kohl's merchandise is grossly inflated to make the "sale price" more attractive, so the added discount can make your purchase a near-bargain. read more

The location is convenient for shopping in Carmel - easy parking, online ship to store pickup, and in&out is easy in traffic. The store is clean. The staff are always helpful. On Sunday, 8/13/17, I lost my cell phone in Kohls Westfield store. After looking around I went to the customer service desk to see if someone had turned it in. No one had. However, the store manager sent a call out to all employees and immediately every available clerk was looking for my phone. That is what I call excellent customer service!
