Monday I had the day off and I wasn't feeling a typical breakfast! Thankfully Parlor Doughnuts is not your typical donut shop. The Fishers location (off 37) is the one I visit most, and their donuts are in a league of their own--fluffy, pillowy, oversized, and melt-in-your-mouth good. The toppings are next level. I've had the maple bacon and cookies & cream (both fantastic), but my go-to is the turtle cheesecake donut--absolutely unreal. On my last visit, though, the donut of the month had me at "cookie butter drizzle"! Say less! What really surprised me this time was their move into savory donuts. Nice interior with some tables if you want to eat-in. I remember reading about parlor doughnuts when they opened and still haven't made it in. Got an ad to try them for their first birthday and they had some $1 doughnuts on special. We tried the carnival, French toast, and bourbon. Loved the freshness and consistency of the doughnuts- sorta deep fried but fresh and tasted similar what I would think of as a croissant consistency. I enjoyed the carnival and French toast (bourbon was my husband choice and it wasn't my flavor of choice but fun to try) Service was quick and they have a few tables if you want to dine in. Had my eye on this doughnut place for awhile. Came for their $1 doughnut promotion. Quick service from ordering to receiving. Small area but they do have tables for sitting. All of the doughnuts are displayed behind glass. They can make many GF and Vegan as well upon request. Tried the French toast, carnival, and caramel bourbon. All were very good. They are big doughnuts but they are weirdly soft like a yeast doughnut but flaky consistency like a croissant. What a beautiful new location!! I've been to the one downtown off Indiana Ave. and loved the donuts. They're big!! Go in knowing that! These aren't just a regular donuts. They're airy and light with kind of like layers. They have so many delicious flavors. Churros, campfire, dreamsicle, sandy beach, to name a few. Imagine a fresh doughnut crossed with a flaky croissant, it just melts in your mouth, these doughnuts are made fresh and bursting with flavor, and so many flavors to choose from too. The staff was super friendly and patient while we were trying to decide what flavors to get. My son and I were hunting for a treat after a doctor appointment and we found the most amazing mouth-gasmy place: Parlor Doughnuts in Fishers! They make layered doughnuts- they are a little like cronuts and they have all kinds of awesome flavors. The flavors are mostly from toppings, nothing inside the doughnuts and the doughnuts themselves aren't flavored. There are two filled flavors: coconut cream filled and raspberry filled. The coconut cream filled is creamy-dreamy, but I didn't notice any filling. It had a thick layer of sturdy whipped cream and toasted coconut on top. There was a generous amount of custard inside, but if it was coconut flavored, it was very subtle. It tasted more like a traditional pastry cream. However, I love this doughnut! It made me think of the best type of coconut cream pie. We also got the peanut butter cup, which my son was only going to eat half of to share it with me, but he almost annihilated it. I did get one bite and it made me hum out loud! That was the first doughnut I tried from Parlor Doughnuts and my first bite was instant LOVE. We also ordered a turtle doughnut and a maple bacon doughnut (they definitely did not disappoint), a maple pecan, and a cookies n' cream (my daughter inhaled that one, but I had a bite and it was creamy and delicious with great Oreo-like flavor from a generous dusting of cookie crumbs). Now, for the maple pecan: I swooned and hummed over this flavor. The maple glaze is perfect. It's thick enough to grip the doughnut without being heavy and the maple flavor is not over-powering. The generous toasted pecans added a toasty, slightly salty crunch to the sweet maple and on top of the melt-in-your-mouth layered doughnut, it was simply *yummazing*. I cried inside when Doughnuts & Dragons closed because their maple-pecan doughnut was my favorite, EVER. However, I have a new maple pecan bestie now!!! Parlor Doughnuts also offers vegan, gluten-friendly, and keto doughnuts. I didn't ask how similar they are to the regular doughnuts. If you don't have dietary restrictions, *don't miss out on the regular doughnuts- your mouth will thank you!* They also have breakfast sandwiches, which you can get on an unglazed doughnut which would be similar to a croissant. The spinach pesto one sounds soooo good. It's egg, basil pesto and Gouda cheese and spinach. The bread options for breakfast sandwhiches are an unglazed donut, biscuit, sourdough, wheat, ciabatta, and gluten-free. I don't care for breakfast sausage, but the sausage biscuit sounds compelling- sausage and egg on a biscuit with fig jam and sage butter. I almost ordered a coffee, but I asked if they had a dark roast and they said their coffee is a light roast, which disappointed me so I did not get one. However, their coffee set-up looked top-notch. They have several coffee beverage options, including cold brew and specialty lattes (flavors of note are Mayan mocha, coconut, lavender, and maple & brown sugar) and tea (including Matcha and chai), as well. They offer other breakfast options too, including breakfast tacos, avo toast, an açai bowl, and rotating seasonal flavors of overnight oats. If you can't tell already, I am a big fan! I am so happy I typed in "donuts" into my Yelp search bar yesterday to find something near my location! The service was also excellent! The woman that helped me was very knowledgeable about the donuts and patient as my son and I made our selections, which took us little while. They have a drive-through, but I don't think we would've known what to order if we had not gone inside and seen their beautiful, yummy selection. It's been less than a year since they opened and they aren't in an obvious location, but you should definitely plan a trip there! Having a hard time deciding, they all sounded so good, we decided on Sandy Beach and Peanut Butter Cup. They were both so light and airy, so decadent. They went fast! For fun, we also tried the chocolate keto. It's very small in size and served chilled. It had a faint coconut flavor. I liked it. My wife did not. She was done after one bite. It's not worth the $4 price unless you're on a strict keto diet and are jonesing for a donut. When we were in line, waiting our turn, the person in front of us had a large order. The music is coming from a vintage radio player- it almost had an antique store feel (again without feeling cluttered). The doughnuts are a cro-nut: croissant donuts so they're BIG! And lots of stuff on top - icing, sprinkles, chocolate sauce, fresh berries, etc. They are also known for their coffee - they even sell growlers of their cold brew! It is YUM! Reestablishing the bar for donut shops, I found myself in love@ at first sight. With all senses involved, I knew Parlor would be a favorite, instantly. The decor invites you in, and the donuts- on display behind the glass- convince you to stay. They are massive and with fun flavors like Cookies & Cream, and Dreamsicle, who can resist? I got 6. They are a little pricey, 3-4 dollars per donut or almost 30 for a dozen, but absolutely worth the cost. Definitely recommend. It was fun to stop by Parlor's Fishers location on opening day! They had a long line out the door. They have so many unique tasty options ranging from Maple bacon to raspberry pistachio- it's hard to choose! They also have coffee beverages. It was humming in there opening day for sure! Given how "fancy" they are, they're reasonably priced and you get a per donut discount when you get a dozen. I've been to Parlor donuts twice now. The first time, I got a French Toast donut for myself, a Carnival donut for my child who wasn't there, and my other child ordered a breakfast taco. I also ordered a latte (no syrup). The latte was great, and my donut was good, with a flaky texture that's along the lines of a cronut. My youngest didn't like the donut I got for her because she didn't like the texture, but her loss! Anyway, it might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I really liked it. My oldest really liked her breakfast taco as well. The first visit, I didn't really see the full menu before ordering a donut (my fault, not theirs) so I vowed to come back and get avocado toast the next time. Which I did, and overall it had a great flavor, but I was disappointed because it was so, SO salty. I'd hesitate to order it again. I also got a bourbon caramel donut and that was AMAZING, and my husband got a raspberry pistachio donut that was also so delicious. The kids each got a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on ciabatta, which were inhaled so I think they enjoyed them. I have never been to parlor donuts before, but have heard good things about them. They are very artisanal donut shop, if you're looking for normal, glazed and jelly filled, you've come to the wrong place. But these donuts are incredible! The store is your typical Craft food store. The donuts are craft donuts, they are much fancier than typical donut store hard to explain exactly but many toppings, generally pretty sweet I know they have gluten-free options as well, and I assume that the donuts change on a regular basis. I got two donuts today, a turtle cheesecake, doughnut, and a caramel doughnut. But they have a bunch of other options like peanut butter cup., Cookies and cream, blueberry, maple, bacon, French toast. So these are very large donuts, almost looked the size of muffins. And are totally covered in toppings. In addition, they have a bunch of coffees and teas and drinks as well as some other breakfast sandwiches and other sandwiches. The donuts were absolutely fantastic. Crispy on the outside very soft and light on the inside again toppings everywhere. My turtle cheesecake had a cheesecake. Type of icing chocolate pecans caramel. Absolutely excellent the caramel one had caramel chocolate chips chocolate drizzle. They were the best donuts I think I have ever had. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Of course, as it's true with any craft food product, it is a little bit more expensive probably about twice as expensive as at the normal donut place, but worth it It is also great to know that they have a drive-through! read more

Took a walk to Parlor Doughnuts this morning and enjoyed a delicious blueberry crumble doughnut (their seasonal option) and a cold brew. The blueberry doughnut was so light and fresh.
