Was doing a marathon shopping run so before I headed off to my next stop I went into this Starbucks located next to Walmart. No waiting time so I ordered a Venti Cold Brew with room for cream. Cold Brew is my absolute favourite way to drink coffee and since I had just finished my own at home, this was the next best thing. Service was amazing and the wait wasn't long since others had put in their requests ahead of me. Before the barista handed me my beverage (darn, I forget his name) he asked I usually put in my coffee & I said cinnamon. Voilà! In went the cinnamon. I thanked him (& forgot to tip!!) & put in my cream. Something I noticed was that folks were bringing in their own cups again! When a bestie says let's go to Starbucks...I'm there! After a meet up for dinner with Nadine and Angel we do love to make a "dessert" stop and sweet Angel suggest Starbucks so there we went! One reason I almost always have my cup as unexpected travel makes it comes in handy always and I've always mention that you get 25 stars just for bringing in your own cup and that's huge leap to your next free drink, merchandise or even bag of beans not to mention $0.10 off your drink as well...being eco friendly is the ultimate winner for us all but just knowing using one less plastic counts. This location is right beside Wal Mart and can certainly be convenient whenever you're shopping in the area though street parking is still an issue here and the shop is quite small which makes it basically a grab and go place though the staff here are so friendly and if you didn't know about their light that I noticed actually during covid when we weren't allowed in the teeny shop it was for the team members I'm told to give them something to brighten their day and that vibe is some thoughtfulness indeed which is more than shining a light on their fabulousness and you can see that in our group photo. This location is convenient as it's right around the corner from Walmart. I'm here a few times a month. The workers are usually on it. I must have thrown the cashier off today because I bought in two reusable cups. He forgot and had to refund me and re ring the order. Starbucks coffee is ok, but not my favorite. However, I love collecting the stars so that I can exchange it for free cups. I love their cups more than their drinks, lol. The drink that I get most is the iced green tea followed by the chai latte. Once in a while I'll get a frappe. Today I ordered two frozen lemonades and a white chocolate frappe. Cant say anything about the service as I wasnt the one who grabbed the drink but definitely one of their red flags was the fact the cup my drink came in is completely unmarked- they dont write the order or put the sticker label on their drinks. This is the only starbucks where my drink without ice has come only less- or less than, halfway full? I understand not getting ice will mean my drink is less filled, but this is... interesting. I dont even do 'no ice' to get more product, i just dont like my drink getting watered down. The baristas, Mary and MJ, are totally awesome, hardworking, friendly, pleasant and personable employees. They do their best even at times when this location can get really busy. I always customize my drinks because I'm a sugar-a-holic and these ladies make them well. My mobile order is always ready when I arrive. The store is always clean, well lit, and stocked properly. Placed an Uber Eats order that glitched and added an item I did not order. According to Uber Eats' policy, I should call the restaurant for adjustments once the order has been accepted. I called this store, and the store manager told me she has NEVER been allowed to modify an Uber Eats order. So, the store cannot make changes to an order they are preparing that the customer paid for in their store, but there is nothing they can do. That's how restaurants in Hawaii do business. Point of Sale systems are entirely different from those on the mainland. However, that's not the case. Lots of Hawaii restaurants steal money from customers like that, claiming "I have no control over how my business operates". The worst commerce in the United States is in Hawaii. read more

Mango Dragonfruit refresher with coconut milk! My Twinsie, Joyce, in Arizona, recommended this beverage combination. It's like the Violet Drink and the Pink Drink, except that it's made with mangoes and dragonfruit instead of blueberries and strawberries! Isn't J-Wow so clever?! I like this location of Starbucks because it's right next to Walmart on Keeaumoku Street. I had tried to go to the Ala Moana Shopping Center kiosk, but the lines were long; it's a warm summer (July) day in Hawaii; and there's no air conditioning. This Keeaumoku location had no line! I walked right up to the friendly cashier and he made my special drink for me - no problem! Other locations run out of the Mango Dragonfruit refresher, but this location had it! Yay! Here's a little secret: I don't drink coffee. I know, I know, if I don't drink coffee then what am I doing writing a review about a coffee shop? Well, Starbucks sells much more than coffee. My fave drink is their matcha frap. It's so good. And you can bring in your own cup and get a discount (and help the environment). I have a TON of Starbucks tumbler -- It's actually an unhealthy obsession lol.) but I brought one in and was able to enjoy my drink in my own cup. Drove around early Sunday morning looking for a Starbucks close by. Yelped it and it showed me Keeaumoku closes. Line was short and service was fast. But the area also attracts lots of homeless people. Just getting to the front door, had to pass some bad odor. They weren't in the immediate area, but could see them close by. I ordered Pikes coffee and Hot Chai Latte w/almond milk. It was made perfect. It went well with brekkie. I'm hoping they can clean up that area. read more

I placed a mobile order and I made a mistake, when I got there I was surprised to see the drink being a hot drink even though in my mind I ordered a frappuccino. The two people who helped me was suuuuper patient, reassured me that I will get the drink I actually wanted. Even though it was completely my fault and I ordered the wrong item, the baristas here were very kind and it really made my day. I like coming here after going to Walmart but you will need patience. There is always a line here. It is the smallest Starbuck I know of. It's 6:45 am on a Sunday. Figured I'd come and get my carmel machiatto, tall and hot. This early, on a Sunday, shouldn't be a line, right. WRONG! Luckily, there were only 3 people ahead of me. Bad, only one barista. And this has been an ongoing issue. Oh, it's worse any other day. It seems because this is a small location, actual square footage of store, one barista is enough. Man, I thought you base it on actual foot traffic coming through. I remember talking to a barista, on a previous visit, who confessed she really felt the pressure this time because the barista that was suppose to come after her called out. And, she still did not get started putting away the supplies that got delivered that morning. The boxes were in the way to get to the 2 tables they had there. I asked if it was okay to move them for me to get in. No problem there. Usually these tables are taken. One of the few times I was able to get one and plug in my electronics. I have sat on the tables on the outside. I will no longer do that. The wifi seems really slow. Then, you have to deal with the vagrants who hang out there. I got approached a couple times. Nothing scary but can get annoying. Sometimes the smell can be very offensive. Sitting at the long bar table at the window can be entertaining. I feel like I'm watching a fashion show. The Japanese women wearing their lolita dresses are interesting to look at. Their counter part men wearing their fashion styles as well. The thing is they all pull it off. I wonder if I...... nah, forget that. The baristas are friendly, never had an issue with any of them even whey they're under pressure. In fact, I've met some of the friendliest SB baristas here. Too bad they never stay for very long. It's not my fave location but you can find me here for a pick me upper a few times a month. Feel like picking me up for a joe, let me know. read more

He warmed up my turkey basil sandwhich without hesitation and brought out my matcha green tea latte promptly. This SB is just different vibes from other locations. SB staff for the most part are nice and just happy to converse with in general. for a short time between ordering and getting my drink the staff are friendly BUT damn not this location. There is a older woman who works there just grumpy and maybe hates her job, obviously. no customer service. her name is Bonnie. she told me 200'stars goes to max Venti size. thats a first for me and ive been a member since 2018. and once, i went to buy syrup and Bonnie said they dont sell it. but i went to ala moana mall location the same day and ingot sold the syrup. i asked if they sell syrup and the barista said yes. Bonnie said not all all they dont sell. She dont belong in customer service i am Never choosing this location. dont go there if you want a friendly face to help. read more

I feel some of the qualities of a satisfactory starbucks would be fast, friendly, with no mistakes on that drink (except for the names). All of my visits so far at this location exemplifies those qualities. It probably goes without saying that this location is clean. I usually see someone cleaning the place, cleaning their hands, then taking a coffee with every visit which looks impressive. In regards to coffee, Starbucks has taken it to whole new levels which is why they're so popular. From gift cards to Christmas drinks, there's many reasons why one would visit these places often. What makes this location somewhat unique is that if you go during a less busy time, the employees are more than willing to chit chat with you. I personally like hearing peoples' stories and how they ended up to their now. It's interesting and a great way to meet new people. read more

The store is small compared to other locations, but the prices and quality remain the same. It's nice to have my tea taste consistent. This location is near many stores and the only one on Keeaumoku then there's the mall which has a few. I can imagine it getting busy especially on weekends. This Starbucks in located next to Wal-Mart and it's not that big. There's a door for entering and exiting to help with the flow better. My last visit was quite interesting. The cashier was sweet and was trying to take my order but her other coworkers were being so loud that i had to move closer to her and talk louder than I usually do so she could hear my order. After I repeated my order the second time she had to tell them to be quiet. She looked at them like she was annoyed but I would be too. There was only two of us in line so my order didn't take that long and I was out of there pretty quickly. I gave this SB 3 stars since I found the workers being so loud to be unprofessional and also the area they have the straws and napkins was messy. Although there were no other customers being helped or even waiting for any drinks or food, the cashier ignored me standing in front of her while she chatted to her coworker for several minutes. When she finally acknowledged my apparently inconvenient existence, there was no greeting or smile. The staff is quick and friendly. They are able to give suggestions and answer questions. Being close to my work, I'm always in there! It's a very small location, but with speedy service (or even doing the order from your phone), you'll be in and out in no time. They do have a great selection of cups, mugs, tumblers, etc., as well as a variety of options for food. If you do want to hang out, there are a few bar stools to sit and work or just drink your coffee. Since the location is right next to the Walmart, there's tons of parking. Lately I have been visiting Starbucks so much. It is not because I am a rich person, but rather because they keep making me offers that I cannot refuse! Half off drinks during happy hour is a great way to get me through the door. For the past week or so, Starbucks has been selling their Frappuccinos for half off between 3 pm and 6 pm. I really like Frappuccinos but do not want to pay $6 for one so I never stop by. Never say never though! After receiving a convenient email from Starbucks telling me about the great deal I just had to stop by. And stop by I did! I came by as much as I could until the promotion was over. My stomach was happy as well as my wallet. If you're not a Starbucks card holder, I highly recommend becoming one and getting on their mailing list.
