Was a bit tricky to find this location, it's on the literal ground floor of the outdoor shopping plaza, located within the parking deck and not "upstairs" near the stores and shops, despite what a navigation app may imply. Busy Starbucks ( that is the understatement of 2025 already ) location in the Ewa wing of Ala Moana Center, next to one of the ABC Stores - street level. Went to try their new offering, cortado. Anyone who frequents an artisinal coffee shop is familar with a cortado. Starbucks cortado was actually okay...exceeding my expectations. I'm curious about their Winter menu of drinks; I definitely want to try their Pistachio Frappuccino/Latte. They also offer a cold brew with pistachio cold foam. I try not to patronize corporate coffee companies but Starbucks is decent and their app makes ordering convenient. I start work early in the morning, so their operating hours are excellent. This mornings experience was the worst customer experience at this location. We mobile ordered the usual black tea with strawberry puree and it barely had the strawberry flavor. There's also a new sauce that I like and on the app we were unable to order the Truff Jalapeño Lime Hot Sauce and Truff Original Hot Sauce. When we got into the store and asked if they still had it, they did and gave it to us, but we were talked to as if we were stupid in a condescending tone. He was telling us to order it on the app next time but even after trying to explain it was unavailable he kept insisting it was. I usually don't write bad reviews because I have a lot of patience, but I did not like the way he talked to us. I get if it's busy and people have rough days... either way, unacceptable. read more

I love Starbucks and I love their mobile order online. You never have to wait in line again, just place your order ahead. You can customize it as well! This time I tried their new lavender matcha oat latter. I was hesitant about the lavender so I got light lavender foam. However, next time I will definitely get it regular foam cause it's soo delicious! The matcha and oat milk is so creamy and the lavender is a nice additional complementary flavor to the matcha. It's definitely better than the lavender oat latte. 4 stars only cause it was $6.75 for this latte! Starbucks is getting more pricey every year. Definitely worth a splurge once in a while though! read more

Came here mid-day when the armored truck driver came to grab the daily deposit. Male barista was assisting with counting and bundling monies. After he gave the final bundle of the deposit to the security officer, the barista went straight back to making drinks. For the management here, please instruct your barista to please wash hands before going back to making drinks. I've actually never had Starbucks coffee. I always figured it would be boring burnt coffee sitting in an urn all day and a bad experience. But I saw that they offered two pour overs so I went to the 1971 pour over a try. I don't know if this is a company wide policy but this location doesn't sell any of the other coffees except Pike's place after 11am. I guess they're just hoping you'll but a whole bag based on the packaging. So I had a sandwich and a cup of ice water. The ice water was pretty good-that's why they get the second star. I like coming to this Starbucks location. The staff is welcoming and our drinks are made well. Our drinks are always on point and made to order. The staff is AWESOME! They are always smiling and super friendly. Such a welcoming feeling when in there. The patrons are also friendly! The store is clean with some tables against the wall for sitting. There is also music playing on the store speakers. There use to be a public restroom but not anymore and more tables in the center, but probabaly due to covid there are only tables against the wall which is understandable. read more

Let's set the scene. I ventured into this Starbucks, which is located on the street level of the Ala Moana Center. It's on the side of Surfer's Bakery and ABC Store. It's important to note that I went here around 5:15 p.m. on a Thursday evening. The day of the 50% off promotion for Starbucks' app users! It was crazy fun?! So many customers that you couldn't tell the order line from the wait line! I had to ask the people where was the line to order. The mood was festive and exciting for me! Some of the customers looked happy : ) and some, not so much : (. I considered leaving due to the number of customers, but I watched in amazement the sheer gut determination of the baristas to get those orders out! I literally wanted to shout out and clap my hands out loud for their frenzied work ethic. Here's to you all (clapping hand emoji). I stayed in line and placed my order for a venti Gingerbread Latte and a cup of ice. I wanted to try one of the holiday drinks. The Gingerbread Latte was spiced just right. The wait was long, but to be expected. The latte was nice, but the ice had coffee grains ? in it. So I tossed that away. I passed by here an hour later and I spied only three customers in store. I stopped in yesterday before starting work. It was surprisingly busy that early in the morning around 8:30am, which makes sense. There wasn't too long of a line when I got in though, so I was helped fairly quick. I didn't catch her name, but the cashier that assisted me was very patient. I wasn't able to get into my Starbucks app because I didn't update my device yet, and she was very patient and waited for me to figure out where I needed to go to get access. Her customer service skills were great. She made an effort to talk story with my while we figured that out, and kept the conversation going. I even came back a second time to get food and she checked with the other baristas to make sure that I got my order. I got a Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso with match cold foam added to the top. It was like any other Starbucks. The workers were friendly and patient. I came in to try "the Zendaya" drink that I saw on social media. Apparently, she orders this drink all the time, so they named it after her. I went up to the cashier and showed him the picture. It was a venti iced matcha green tea latte with coconut milk. It was ok, but refreshing. My hubby said that it had a funny taste. He's probably not used to it, since it contains a lot less sugar than his usual Frappuccinos. Ordered online and 45 minutes later, I had to ask about my order after seeing numerous customers order at the register and get their drinks ahead of me who ordered long before them. I don't know what their policy is, but they should service the orders in order. If the app says it'll take 10 minutes, then there is no reason for it taking 45 minutes. Stop taking orders if you only have 2 baristas and cannot keep up with all the orders. read more

Starbucks Happy Hour (2pm-7pm) on Thursdays in December 2019... I was driving my friend to her car at Ala Moana Shopping Center when I saw this Starbucks on the Ground Level. I remembered that it was Happy Hour - Buy One, Get One Free - and I suggested to my friend that we take advantage of this offer! She agreed because she had a Gift Card to use! We parked right in front in the covered lot and walked up to the cashier and placed our order. At first, my friend wanted one of her usual drinks. I pointed out the Holiday Specials and she selected the Caramel Brulee Latte - iced. I chose the same, but with Almond Milk and no whipped cream. Both drinks came out fairly quickly. We sat for a while in the small shop. We enjoyed watching people on their laptops...while other people looked like their eyes were closed... I don't blame them. The music, air conditioning, and cozy ambiance are soothing! After a bit, the wooden chairs got uncomfortable, so we took a walk with our beverages. I might be biased but this is my fave Starbucks on the island. Drinks are consistently great. A lot of other Starbucks (Windward mall and enchanted lake to be exact) their drinks never taste the same and quality is all over the place. This one is not close to me but whenever I'm in the area, I love to go to this one. They are always busy (because they are the best!) but still fast! It's hard to be friendly during this time, but they manage. Without the markings on the floor, people will not know where to stand within the two waiting areas were marked 6 feet apart which is ingenious in my opinion. Asked for an Venti Iced Coffee with Oatmilk. Barley poured any Oatmilk, gave me the drink hot. All good, easy fix. When I asked for a venti cup of ice, they refused to give me one because they're running low so they don't give them out... meaning I would have to purchase a venti cup of ice... after they were the ones who screwed up my order.. Turned out they put my drink on the far back end of the pickup counter and hid my name and they didnt call out my name so my drink was just sitting there melting away. Friendly (but not over bearing which is great!), attentive, and they mail the orders accurately and efficiently every time- at least for the majority of each visit. I had ordered 2 items which would've taken Enchanted Lake and Kaneohe locations at least twice the expected time (of close to 20mins) rather than the expected 8 mins and even then, this location got it done and ready within 5 mins of me ordering. As much as we've tried to wean ourselves from Starbucks coffee beverages, we still are drawn to their cafés or kiosks. Sheesh, it just seems as though I receive promotional e-mails or texts from Starbucks almost weekly. Ohh, we're just weak or resist so we find ourselves in a café. This café is located on the street level near Foodland Farms and the Post Office. Their baristas are friendly, pretty quick and accurate in making our beverages. The space is rather small yet cozy. It does get busy so just be patient and allow yourself time to get your well-prepared beverage or food item. As for me, I have actually found that when I order a Flat White with Soy or Almond milk, my cup actually feels like it's fuller than at a couple other Starbucks in this shopping center. But, shucks, there is limited seating in here so I often order and take it to go. read more

I was delighted to see some Starbucks opening to mobile orders including a favorite spot of mine in the Ewa Wing of Ala Moana Shopping Center between ABC Store and AT&T. I come to this Starbucks almost every work day from Monday to friday and they are consistently awesome. Out of 20 visits I have 19 great visits and maybe just one bad. They will remember your name and what you drink if you come often enough....so it feels very welcoming. My only bad experience that happened a few time was that my drink came up and I was waiting but no one called me for my drink. So I was waiting and waiting and only to find out my drink was set on the side with no name. One time I could hear two barrista say..."oh it didn't have a name" ..but yea very minor..I should have just probably ask but im spoiled and expected my name to be called for my drink lol In summary, 5 stars for being consistently friendly and consistently brewing non burnt coffee. read more
