Cool new sips... Thank you Jackie K for the heads up notice on this new sips Dragonberry Blitz and Mangomorphosis as I don't do mango it was certainly Dragonfruit fruit which I do love and though it's been awhile I've been to a Jamba this is a great reason to revisit them as I do love refreshers. This Ala Moana location is at the far end almost near Nordstrom side and with lots of parking close by it is the preferred spot for me as it also keeps me at the mall level area. Service here is nice and fast I assume that the drinks are premade which is even better if you're thirsty but this deal that was on Thursday only was $1 is a genius as you know we had to give it a try. Fruit bowls are also good. I went back a few months ago for the first time since the pre-pandemic era and prices and quality are still good. This morning, I picked up their Orange Carrot Karma. This is for the Jamba Juice on the mall level at Ala Moana near Shabuya. I placed an order on the app for mobile pick up. When I arrived I noticed that it didn't reflect the modifications I had made in the app. When I explained it to the girl working she became so upset and made a scene, slamming stuff around. So even though she fixed my order, she made it very well known to everyone how upset she was by slamming everything around. It was uncomfortable for everyone waiting to watch. read more

I literally made a Yelp account just because of this experience. I came in yesterday around 2 PM, and at first everything seemed fine. The girl who took my order was very polite and friendly, and the other one making drinks looked focused and doing her job What completely ruined the experience was the man in the grey polo. He seemed to be the manager since he was giving directions to everyone, but his behavior was unprofessional and honestly alarming. He was slamming blenders, slamming fridge doors, and yelling "WE'LL BE WITH YOU IN JUST A MOMENT" at customers in a harsh and angry tone. You could tell he was frustrated, and the whole atmosphere became tense and uncomfortable. He was a short, skinny guy with his hat on backwards, and he wasn't wearing a name tag. While I was waiting for my order, I noticed the girl at the front flinching whenever he slammed something behind her. It was hard to watch because she looked genuinely nervous, yet she stayed calm and polite to customers despite how stressful it clearly was behind the counter. When I first came in, it was only semi busy, but as more people arrived, it got super busy. You'd think that would make the manager happy since that means more customers for the store, but instead he just became more aggressive and started slamming things even harder. I'm a regular at the Ala Moana location, the one next to The Alley, and they're way busier than this place, yet their manager never acts up like that. They handle rushes with professionalism and respect, which is exactly how a manager should be. I don't usually leave reviews, but this really bothered me. The environment felt unsafe and stressful, not just for customers but for the staff too. $1 national smoothie day is awesome and has become an annual tradition with the kids (well this is the second year). You pick either mango or strawberry, pay your $1 plus tax and wait to the side. I was passing by and noticed their sign for their new lychee drink. I love lychee and had to try it. It was delicious! I guess I'm a little biased and love anything with lychee in it. Most of the Jamba drinks are a little tart. This one is on the sweeter side, not overly sweet but perfectly sweet. I was happy to see white gummi on their official menu. I have a love/hate relationship with Jamba juice. Where my stomach either love it or it hates me! I was never lactose but suddenly as I got older I am allergic/sensitive to random things. I am somewhat lactose, so I am glad they have a vegan option. Soy milk and Greek yogurt doesn't agree with my stomach sometimes too. Vegan watermelon smoothie is my go to to now. We spend almost $100 every time we come to this location because the former girls/crew know how to make our drinks and are pleasant to talk to and give great customers satifaction. I normally don't complain about service workers because I'm a manager as a service worker dealing with customers too and know the struggles and the weight of the day, but it does get to a point when something is completely unprovoked from the staff. Had an encounter with the cashier for today this afternoon, who when I approached I wasn't sure if she was ready to take my order or not because she was not acknowledging me and looking at her coworker behind me, so I was just standing there for a bit until it got a little uncomfortable and said "hi are you ready?" To confirm if she was or not, immediately her smile was wiped off her face, she still didn't say anything to me, so I just started ordering. Her tone was very curt and annoyed when saying the total and saying "want your receipt." I was confused on how the attitude automatically changed when I came up as this is my first encounter with her. I became irritated due to her attitude and curtness and regretfully it showed on my face but I exchanged no words to not escalate the situation. After finishing checking out, she turned around and started talking about me to her coworker as if I couldn't see and or hear. If you're going to talk about a customer at least wait until I am gone or not in earshot and definitely don't look directly at the customer as you're "whispering" about them. Once again as a manager in customer service I get how customers can be especiallyyy the customers on island with all the tourism and the effect that it can have on your day... but don't fire it towards a customer that did nothing to you nor had any attitude toward you to receive such rude unprovoked service. The only good thing I have to say is that our drinks were made good. read more

A nice change. With all the Starbucks reviews and Boba tea stops (I know you read those reviews) it's nice to grab something different. I like stopping here to get my sugar fix. This coming from the guy that always ask for 50% less sugar. But that's not the point. The point is, if you want a fruity beverage this is a great alternative. If you want a Big Gulp go to 7-11, if you want a ICEE head to K-mar.....err Walgreens. JJ's has the standard slushy drinks, you can get creative, or order from the secret menu like a fruity pebble's or Starburst. Whatever you chose it's a nice cool refreshing drink. Heck you can even as for a mini. There's a rewards program and they sell some snacks along with açaí bowls and thankfully no more grass shots. Ooh don't get me started. Overall four stars. Don't work where you eat. I used to work at the one in Makai Market years ago. Now I can no longer go there to get my Jamba Juice, I walk all the way to this one instead since it was the sister store not the main one that I was working at long time ago. Or any other one in the nearby vicinity of where I'll be for the day. They have lots of choices of drinks but my favorites are still strawberry wild, Orange C Booster (formerly Cold buster), Acai Super antioxidant drinks. Sometimes, I'd want something sweet it would be Strawberry dream, peanut butter Moo'd or White Gummi Bear. The customer service is minimal, they don't always greet you, say thank you and just call out your drink. It has gone downhill on the customer service since it switched from the former franchise owner to Jack in the Box. But whenever, I want a cold smoothie drink instead of Boba drink which is right next door or on the 1st level of the mall by the food court. It's a nice change to get something different and somewhat healthier depending on what I order. It doesn't make a difference for pre boosted or not smoothies since they all cost the same. You can get bursting boba with your drinks now too, more like bubble flavor burst to you drink. It's cool and refreshing, lighter than regular boba to have with your drink. The boba at JJ isn't what you would find at a typical tapioca shop, which should be obvious,, it's more akin to crystal boba in a sense that it's essentially just jelly balls. Jamba Juice, like Subway, and many other restaurants try to bring the healthy lifestyle to the people of Hawaii. Freshly made smoothies and juice products help facilitate such a lifestyle or option for those of y'all who enjoy smoothies after a challenging day at the office, a day at the mall, or just because. For myself though, it was a bit of both of health and convenience. That and getting in my fruit servings for the day. It's quite convenient to have Jamba Juice here in Hawaii to remind us of this fact that health is wealth and the most important part of a great lifestyle. My experiences here at Jamba Juice is fairly typical at this location. Typically, there are many people who are in line for their orders, compared to the other one in the mall, which is not so much. I dislike the lines, but having steady business is good. For the most part though, my wait time is typically about 10 minutes or less. As soon as you get your order in and pay, you just need for the staff at Jamba to fill your order and you're out with your drink(s). My favorite as of late is the chocolate moo'd. It's not a real chocolate milkshake per say, but it's more of a healthier version that can be beneficial to help those chocolate cravings. As far as the parking situation goes, you're at Ala Moana shopping center, there's plenty of parking here. Just make sure you know where you are parked, so you can find your vehicle quickly, as the mall is quite large enough to make you get confused a little bit. If you are like me, many bus routes start or ends service here at Ala Moana shopping center. You need to choose the right route(s) for you to get here for your day of shopping and your fix of Jamba Juice. The prices have been rising steadily over the years. I remember the price for a medium was about $5 something 10 years ago, but now it's over $6. It is what it is.
