Mo'joe Mondays at Kū'ono Marketplace in Honolulu, Hawaii... When I checked the Instagram post for The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf for August 11, 2025, I was happy to see that regular-sized Matcha drinks would be $3! Yay! I liked this spacious, bright location because it's not as busy as other locations. There were customers doing work on their laptops, and they were quiet. The shared parking is free and it's conveniently situated across from Kahala Mall. Service was very efficient and helpful. When I asked for dairy-free Strawberry Matcha Latte, I got soy milk for myself and almond milk for my niece. They both had a 99 cents upcharge. My niece thought that the drink was more on the milky side, whereas other places have a stronger matcha flavor. I was wondering why I drank it so quickly... it was easier for me because it had almost no bitterness! The good thing was that my Loyalty Card was stamped with the regular price... not just 4 stamps! Thank you! Note: I looked for the new Tokidoki collab merchandise... it hasn't arrived not... read more

I came for the earl gray tea latte... it's very yummy and flavorful. Gotta love the Bergamot inside the tea. Also got an oatmeal cookie. Soft and chewy like they just baked it. Service is good. The staff acknowledged our presence. Place is clean and cool 68° inside the store. Great for ordering that hot tea. Thanks Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf read more

Whenever I'm in the neighborhood, I like to stop here to get one of my favorite drinks...lychee iced tea! They're located in Kuono Marketplace. It's not a big store but they're usually not too busy so you can get a table to chill at and the staff is always friendly. I like that it doesn't get too crowded or loud like some coffee shops do. ******** Great place to visit The coffee bean and tea leaf Go grab a drink please read more

I love coming to this location. The service is great and the staff is so kind and accommodating. The shop itself is always spotless!! This morning when I went in I was the only customer so I was able to have a nice conversation with the baristas! They were so pleasant! Shout out to Jessica for her great energy. I also discovered in the past year that the (iced) coffee here is better than Starbucks, it's really smooth as opposed to the bitterness of Starbucks'. It's nice to treat myself here once a week! Thank you Kahala Coffee Bean! read more

I'm a Starbucks lover only because they make a really caramel macchiato. I haven't found anywhere else that makes it better. I've tried different cafes and it'll still be Starbucks unless I go to Europe, who makes it perfect. BUT Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf makes a good frozen lemonade! And it's been so hot lately that this frozen lemonade is the perfect way to cool off or down on this beautiful sunshine day! I prefer their lemonade over Starbucks. They also make a really good lilikoi glazed cornbread muffin! It's a MUST HAVE or MUST TRY! I'd say, just get in your car and head to the closest Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. I didn't a picture of it but they also sell pesto pasta. Sooo yummmmmm! I wish they sold it in bigger containers. ;) The young lady who was working at Kahala location at about 10:45-1050am was nice and friendly! I didn't catch her name as I was out of time for an appointment I was running late to. I love this location they have in Kahala as it's close to lot of good places to grab breakfast and lunch. Maybe even dinner too! And have lots of free parking ! read more

We all need a place to recover... Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has always been a place to do so and this particular location is in Kahala's Kū'ono Marketplace which is a refreshing convenience to swing by as I never had to fight to find parking. Love the vibe here as there are decent amount of tables along the wall with lots of options to pug in your electronics so that you and my phone who eats first has many chances to recharge as well. Keeping the spice in my life is their Pumpkin Spice Latte with Almond Milk is super along with a single egg white bite making it a breakfast of champion. I'm not gonna lie it seems like they were a bit short handed...only cause I'm stretched thin myself I feel for them all as there was a hiccup here myself where I see the omg look in her face that she forgotten and not that it was needed at all was truly apologetic and did a bit of something nice. The nation is short very staffed so we all must be patient and kind to each other leave a tip that you can afford...and thank you for all that you do ladies!! Thank you! read more

First time here at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf located at the Kuono Market place across from Kahala Mall Very clean and spacious and great fast service there was only one barista working at the time and she was efficient. Overall I love coffee bean! especially in comparison to Starbucks. Today I went to get a latte, it took longer than usual because they were overwhelmed with a large online order which is totally understandable! Leaving this review because I witnessed a barista drop one of the powder measuring cups on the ground and didn't put it aside to wash, he put it back right with the other scoopers... :( read more

I came here today to buy a drink and while paying for my drink my daughter wanted macaroons. This is my mistake buying her to dang macaroons! She ate a few and then told me that one of them is hard. I thought she meant as in it was over baked hard so I didn't think of checking. I told her to go ahead and eat the other ones. When I got home my mom wanted to give those macaroons a try and told me that the macaroons had a piece of metal in it. I went and took a look and it's HUGE! Imagine if my daughter was a lot younger and just swallowed it? I gave them a call and explained what happened. The girl who answered weren't even concern. Didn't apologize or even offer to take down my info so a manager could contact me. All she told me was I needed to contact the manufacturer. The best you could have done was offer to have a manager to contact me and get it situated with the manufacturer! To think I religiously buy drinks from this company. read more

The staff was friendly and the drink came out great. There was only one other person in there when we ordered, so our drink came out fast. We got the ice blended cookie butter drink. It was fantastic. Think of Trader Joe's cookie butter. Yup, if you know you know. I like how diverse Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is compared to Starbucks. They offer plantation iced tea, Vietnamese coffee, lava flow and pina colada to name a few. read more

Finally a coffee bean! I'm such a fan of their coffee and teas over Starbucks. Plus they have better ice here. Love the decor in here. You can tell they put a lot of effort into this store. Everything is so well done and gorgeous in here. Staff was friendly and nice. Of course the coffee is amazing here. Iced americano, dry with no sugar added vanilla. The best drink for when you need something to wake up and stay up! We be back all the time right next to foodland farms with tons of parking. read more

My cold brew ice blend was horrible. This is my 2nd time to this location, prior to this my drinks were on point. But this time I should've known my drink would not be the same when I saw the barista scoop out my drink from the blender because it was too thick to pour. Having high hopes that my drink would taste good once it settle but no such luck. Such a waste of my money never coming back to this location! read more

The customer service was poor from the moment I walked in, as soon as i walked in the staff seemed very uninterested, there was about three employees and not a single one on register.. It didn't seem especially busy, so the delay was frustrating and felt unnecessary. When I finally got to order, I felt the lady rushing me and when i gave her my order she started to complain i was ordering to fast and it looked like she was having a meltdown. After i paid for my drink i had to wait almost half a hour.. this was without a line and just the employees talking with eachother or just talking to customers for fun and when I finally got my drink, it honestly wasn't worth the wait. The drink tasted watered down and lacked flavor, like it had not been made properly. Overall, between the slow service, lack of friendliness, and disappointing drinks, I wouldn't recommend this location. Definitely not the experience I expected. read more

Got a frozen blended mocha with whipped cream and it was exactly what I was expecting. Rich coffee flavor, probably too much sugar, served with the frank indifference only a socially superior teenager can deliver. Location sucks. Parking lot is jam packed and hard to access IMHO. read more

Iced latte was very good, lots of local options too. They were also very quick with making it!

Better than Starbucks IMO. Why? Always clean, never too chaotic, crafted coffee tastes exponentially better, and the service is ALWAYS friendly. When you first get into the strip mall, there's ample parking in front of the store. Now open signage on the front entrance, along with a white board sign to tell you that they're here! Located right next to Foodland's Kahala MKT. Upon walking into the store, it's very clean with everything in its place. There's a shelf of tumblers, teas and coffees in the back, next to an open fridge with their snacks and to-go meals, in which some of them are supplied by Foodland. There were 2 girls working this day (Sunday morning at 11am) with 4 people ahead of us, 2 more behind in line. We got our drinks in less than 5 mins. The mocha iced blended frap was on point. Not like some other locations that give a few pumps of mocha, there was a healthy amount in this one. The Plantation Iced Tea is also on point with enough tea and pineapple flavors. They've transitioned to paper straws which are quite sturdier than others we've experienced. Overall, the staff was friendly, greeted us upon arrival, and also thanked us upon departure, even apologizing for a small wait time. Definitely a convenient location for when we're shopping at Foodland! read more

Delicious lattes, fast, and friendly service. Some unique flavors and choices. A great alternative to a giant chain.

I only come here as a last resort to study because of the location being convenient for me but besides that, drinks are mid and they have the absolute worse customer service almost every time I come in. The girl also over charged me for my drink and I didn't know till I saw my Apple Pay receipt. Only come here if it's your last resort because I would not recommend. read more

Went in last weekend for a Mocha ice blended and the rude, obnoxious clerk asked, what do you want!?! I was almost going to say, we want you to tone down that attitude! Started rolling her eyes at us since we didn't answer right away. I just don't know how people can act this way when serving customers. Only giving this a 4 star review because I found a bunch of white stuff floating in my cup after returning to the car. Not too sure if it's potentially from the vanilla syrup or straw or what. Was passing by today and decided to take advantage of the $3 Monday Vietnamese Coffee. They were super busy but the two workers were very pleasant and efficient. We stopped here on our drive because it was the only non-Starbucks we could find. It wasn't too busy when we ordered, but shortly after there was a long line. I think the number of people and their orders was overwhelming because I'm pretty sure we did not get the correct coffees. They tasted pretty good and the ice in them was nice, but just not what we ordered. read more

We visit often because of its close proximity to where we do most of our activities. This review is for only this particular visit and not the beverages (which are made consistently well). The poor barista/cashier was working alone this morning during the rush hour (at least 6 people in line the whole time I was there). She was hustling, and trying to get the drinks out in a timely manner. However, she was sweating and kept touching her face, nose and glasses, cashiering and making drinks without any pause to wash her hands after touching her face. Please get her help, if possible. read more

I've been to all of the Coffee Bean locations on this island. This site consistently has the worst customer service. During my last visit they were having a conversation with the customer behind me in line. They seemed to be in amazement of her purple hair and her dog she brought in. I gave my order and the staff responded with an annoyed look and said they ran out of mocha. I asked for a caramel late but was told they were out of caramel too. (I ordered around 8AM and there was no signage of anything being out of stock/unavailable). I asked if they could make a cookies and cream drink for my daughter which they seemed reluctant to do. The staff then happily continued their conversation with the customer behind me. For some reason our drink was ready after the 2 customers behind me received their drinks. Purple hair's dog received a complimentary cup of sprayed whip cream which was ALSO made and given before my one cookies and cream drink was finished. So, not returning or recommending this location. I think my experience takes the cake. read more

The service was more than fine, but my boyfriend and I were really disappointed with the drinks. We asked for light ice for each of our drinks (we had 3 in total). The drinks were all NOT FULL. Bummer! This location is a go-to for me but today's experience was unfortunate. Terrible sass and attitude and COMPLETELY wrong order from the worker (even though what was written on the cup was correct). I didn't even bother telling her my order was wrong because I didn't want to deal with what her reaction would've been. I understand that she was by herself, but the store was not busy and her attitude was dismissive and annoyed from the start. What's happening to coffee bean?! read more

I used to work at this exact location and this store is nothing like it used to be. The new workers are horrible, have such a bad attitude. I asked for a plantation iced tea and it tastes like there's 8 pumps of sugar in it. It's so bad, I'm extremely disappointed. When she gave it to me she shook it like it was some boba drink. I went back in and the girl with orange-ish hair walked away from me as I was trying to ask her about the drink. Some other girl with glasses who looked to be the manager, rolled her eyes at me and didn't even want to talk to me. Horrible service. Horrible drinks. This place sucks now. I feel bad for the older workers that are still there. Definitely not keeping up their po'okela and greeting customers anymore like they used to. Can't believe I just wasted my money on this. read more

Very nice. I got the Mocha Ice blended and it was really good. The staff were very friendly. Nice atmosphere. Mahalo!

Always nice staff and good coffee. Convenient parking and it's easy to get to. I have been going there once a week since they opened.

I am grateful for this very convenient location and the hours. It is clean and never too crowded when I come in. As for the coffee, it has always been hit or miss for me depending on the employee. There is one employee that appears to be in an unpleasant mood each time I've encountered her, and unfortunately also does not make the coffee as well as others. read more

I used to love coming here but people have developed major attitudes over time. The coffee is still good but a lot of the workers have not been nice lately. I order online, through the Caviar app it saves me time before work. I selected heated for my pasta, and the lady gave it to me cold. She said something about she couldn't microwave it or something weird.. I have been coming to Coffee Bean for years and not once have they said that. So I told her to heat it and she apparently did but she did it half ass. It was still cold when I ate it at work! I will not continue to order here, if the workers don't appreciate business and value their jobs! For Foodland owned, you guys should train the employees better to work on customer service. It's highly slacking at this location. I rather go to Market City or Ala Moana location. They are nicer! read more

I went there when it first opened and the workers were so nice and customer service was amazing, but recently the new workers have been so rude. I went a couple of days ago and this older lady served me. I felt like I was treated as an inconvenience, she barely talked to me, barely looked at me, overall was not friendly at all. I watched her make my drink and she half-assed it. I would not recommend coming here. read more

My daughter and I went there the morning of 4th of July. So excited to get our coffee. I have been a loyal customer of coffee bean for over 20 years. This was my first time at the Kāhala location. We usually go to Pearl City, Ala Moana, Manoa, Ewa and the Pupukea locations which have awesome customer service which kept me going back all these years and the best mocha. I order my same drink all the time, a large Ice Mocha Latte w/an xtra 1/2 scoop of mocha. When my drink came out it was very dark looking not the usual. It tasted pretty bad. I told the girl I think you made my drink w/dark chocolate mocha. She said no that is how our new mocha is. I am pretty sure she didn't want to remake it. So I had asked her can I please exchange it for a plantation ice tea. I cannot drink the drink you made me. Three of the girls gave me such bad attitude and said they can't. I stood there in total shock. The only nice one was the blonde who was willing to remake it but the other girls with horrible attitude said no. Two girls went in the back never came back out and the other two girls ignored me. Wasted $9.00 drink!! Plus stupid me gave them a tip when I paid :/Reading the other reviews I know I am not alone from getting horrible attitude and service. I'd rate this location zero stars!!!!!!!!!! read more
