This Starbucks, the first I encounter on I-70 on my way to Indy, is normally pretty decent as far as Starbucks go - fast service, drinks made to order, unusually speedy drive-thru - but my last two trips have been a bit disappointing. You know how at some restaurants, you figure out pretty quick that if you want your steak done medium, you have to order it a cooking temperature above or below what you actually want? Apparently this is now the way the Greenfield Starbucks handles their sizing system. The last two times, I've ordered venti-sized drinks (one an iced chai, one a water) and gotten talls. Hm. Also, if you're going to advertise something on your menu board at the drive-thru, wouldn't it stand to reason that you'd want to make sure you stock your restaurant with enough supply to meet the demand? I tried to order one of those Fruit and Cheese Plates yesterday, based on the lovely picture featured on the drive-thru board, and was given the run-around by a very ditzy girl who first told me they didn't have any, then informed me that the plate and the venti - er, tall water I ordered would cost $8.32, then giggled and said, "Oops! We don't have any! We go through those really fast here!" I contemplated asking her to correct the water situation, but decided it wasn't worth it. I'll probably continue to stop here, as it's convenient, but consistent it ain't. read more

Don't come here if you plan to stay and do anything that requires concentration. I needed to do a bit of work and 2 Starbucks staff were having (separate) loud Zoom calls at the public tables without using headphones. I asked one of them if she could turn it down or use headphones and she said, "No, I work here." I won't come back. read more

We stop here on Sunday mornings every time we are in town visiting family. Usually it's a long wait and quite crowded but this time we couldn't believe how efficient they were (even though it was crowded)! The people working were friendly and seemed to really know their stuff. We were impressed! My mom has discovered their caramel apple spice drink- I recommend you give that a try sometime for something different. read more

It is a predictable Starbuck experience. The coffee is just what you expect. Service was ok but not wow (this could differentiate one of these franchise/chain stores). inside of store was tight. nothing to stay away from but nothing to wow about either. read more

It's a good Starbucks. Always super busy though, it's best to go a little after rush hour if you don't want to wait in a long line. I gave it 3 stars because sometimes you're waiting in the line for quite a while. read more

I stop here on my way from Indy to Columbus, OH. Everytime, they screw up the order. We ordered 2 grande coffees - one Christmas blend with cream and one stevia packet on the side, one dark roast black. One coffee came with cream, the other with 3 stevias in the coffee. Honest mistake but it shouldn't have been an issue since we explained the order 3 times to the drive through clerk. I wouldn't normally post over an issue like this but this is a constant occurance when I stop at this Starbucks. read more

I just came in on Wednesday because I refuse to go through drive thru anymore. Ordered two drinks and got ready to pay I hand her a $100 bill cash because that's all I had on me - there is no sign anywhere that says the limitations of bills they accept and the lady at the counter says "Uh I can't take that" I said to her it's all I have and there's no atm around here. This is not your typical Starbucks. This is my local Starbucks and I don't like coming here unfortunately. I have had many orders made incorrectly, it takes FOREVER to get your drinks, and the inside of the store is always cold and dirty. I have yet to actually see a barista sweep the floors or restock the napkin bar. It's mildly embarrassing. I've used the restroom before--at the beginning of the day, mind you--and it was completely out of toilet paper. I've frequently mobile ordered drinks 10+ minutes in advance and come in to pick them up and baristas haven't even started them yet. They will serve other people first until they notice you standing there for awhile or you speak up and then let you know that they couldn't start your drink because they are out of the ingredients to make your drink. Why can't they just mark it as unavailable on the app like every other Starbucks instead of making you stand there like an idiot until you say something?? My husband and I have waited in the drive thru line for a full 45 minutes before. We were given our drinks for free, but the wait was just ridiculous! I've also been given a steak + egg tomatillo wrap that was half frozen. Unfortunately, I didn't discover this until I was halfway on my drive to work. If I'm gonna pay $5 for a breakfast burrito, it could at least be thawed out... It's just not worth the gamble of whether your order will be correct. It's just not worth the wait either. read more

Of course Starbucks has great drinks. They are just so expensive. This one in particular is always freezing inside. When I say freezing, that's what I mean, not just cold, freezing. I don't know if that's a marketing ploy on their part to get you to buy more drinks, but it's super uncomfortable. I used to love to go there and hang out. Not so much anymore. read more

Coffee is typically good and doesn't differ from the locations across the U.S. However, the lobby is always trashed, I'm not sure when they clean or sweep but can tell you it's not before any of the times I go there. Someone please pick up a broom! read more

The drive thru had a bit of a wait. the drink was ok but extremely hot so the milk tasted a bit metalish. If the line is long watch the curb that sticks out as you turn the corner. it will catch your bumper. read more

Incredibly surprised at how much this crew just stopped working to talk about school and other things while many of us where waiting on our drinks. The thing is that i think the person in change was involved in the conversation. I don't see this kind of ethic at every single Starbucks I've ever been to. Really caught me off guard. I come to this Starbucks when in town on business, at least twice a month for the past three years. The service is slow and terribke. I have currently been in line for a half an hour at the drive thru, yesterday it was 20 minutes. I had boycotted for awhile and patronized the local, very good coffee shop, but it closed. The staff at this location are full of energy and are always so kind. One barista even sang me happy birthday when I came to redeem my birthday reward! I have been going to this Starbucks for years and it has gone downhill quickly over the past couple of months! Mobile orders are never ready and if you order food it's like they completely overlook that part of your order! Most recently they opened their doors 45 minutes late because of a manager over sleeping and completely ignored a line of people at the door waiting on mobile orders they already paid for and only tended to the drive thru! Once they finally opened the doors the orders were not complete so they promised a refund on my app which I did not receive! This used to be one of my favorite stores but not sure I'll go back! Travel from Illinois to Ohio very frequently - and stop at most, if not all, Starbucks on I-70 on the route very frequently. This is consistently the slowest option. Even if there isn't a line, your going to wait ~5-10 minutes from order to drink. In my past 5 visits, k haven't wait less than 5 and on a busy Friday night, entrance to exit was 25 minutesUnless you are living in the Springfield area - probably worth waiting until the next available Starbucks on your commute (Indy or Ohio/Indiana border for those on 70). read more

I visited this Starbucks while on a roadtrip with a friend. I ordered a earl grey tea with soy milk and 2 pumps of vanilla. When I asked about my drink (to make sure they added the vanilla because it wasn't super sweet) the lady making it made a mean face and replied with a snotty rude comment. I understand you're busy but when someone politely wants to make sure their drink is right before starting a long drive home the least you could do it be polite back. read more

This is my favorite place to go for any occasion. I come here to do my homework and hangout with friends. The customer service is great. The employees here treat you with such respect. One employee that stands out the most to me is Lane Coffin. He always greets me every time I walk in, and he is always kind to every one I see him with.
