I'm an avid local coffee shop visitor in the area. I go to all of them often -- and I will say this one is the SLOWEST. I always have to wait over 20 minutes for stuff. Even coffee. EVERYTIME I come it's around that much time. At that point, I would just rather go to Starbucks. I just don't get it. There's always a million people working. Always amazing coffee and treats! Their scones are a perfect next day pastry (or today too), and my fav is their house made biscuits and gravy. Yum! They are a local spot that also provides mental health treatment to those in need through counseling services. The atmosphere is garden like with lots of greenery but also some comfy seating and tables for working. My absolute favorite coffeeshop!! They roast their own beans on location. Wonderful flavored coffees. Service is always top notch, they work so hard at all locations. Housemade chive biscuits that are heavenly. They have 3 locations that each offer their own personality, all have plenty of parking and seating. It's a great spot to meet with family or friends. I met a friend here for the first time and really enjoyed it! The parking lot was full when I arrived around 8 am on a Saturday morning. I parked in the gravel lot next door, which was fine! My friend and I secured spots at a large table and were able to write for a few hours. Despite being busy, I was able to pop on my headphones and get some things done. I ordered a black tea and it was great! They have some herbal teas I'd like to try next time, too. The staff was really nice, despite us not realizing they closed at 1pm. My husband suggested we come here because they have gluten-friendly food. There is one sandwich on the menu that is gluten friendly. It's nice to have something I can order. The sandwich was okay, but a little on the dry side (which happens often with gluten friendly items). They did have a gluten friendly cookie that I didn't try, and might have liked better. This is a very busy coffeehouse located in the heart of downtown Greenwood. It is a trendy spot and seems to be the go to spot for people to telework and study. This place was packed, packed. They have a decent sized private lot and there is additional parking across the street. There is bar seating along the front window and seating available in the dining area. There is tons of outlets available around the coffeehouse to plug in your laptop or charge your phone. This place offers a small selection of hot and iced coffee/lattes. They also have a small menu of pastries and breakfast/lunch sandwiches. I am not a big coffee drinker, but I had some time to kill and this place seemed like a perfect place to do it. The staff there was very friendly and helpful. I ordered a breakfast bacon croissant and a hot latte with maple flavor. It did not take long to get my coffee and my sandwich was right behind it. My coffee was baby bear, just right. It was the perfect temperature and tasted awesome. It almost made me a card carrying coffee drinker. The sandwich was a bit smaller than normal, but was still fresh and good. It would not call it filling. I would say that it was satisfying. On a side note, the coffee house has a nice story and gives back to the community. It is what is called a for-benefit business. Their net profits fund some of their community initiatives which includes, free premarital counseling, free marriage counseling, free addiction recovery programs, free mentor training, and funding other mental health needs. The Franklin location hosts church every Sunday too. Even though i only have a small sample size, this is one of the better coffee shops that I have been to. Their coffee is amazing, the atmosphere is chill, the staff is friendly, and the snacks are fresh. I am glad that I stumbled across this place and hope to make it back here very soon. read more

This is my favorite coffee shop in south side. I tried most of coffee shops in Indy and coffeehouse five can compete with well known coffee shops in downtown because their coffee tastes really good. This place has great selection of breakfast sandwiches and beverages beyond coffee. (Lemon and tea) There are several tables and chairs that you can hang out with your friends and family. Staffs are always kind and helpful. Free parking available. *This is my personal suggestion. Black chairs at your coffee shop do not add modern vibe. I am really conflicted on how to review this place appropriately. So the best I can do is give 2 stars as a combined rating. They advertise that they're a for benefit coffeehouse. Offering free programs to help those that need it. So I went in looking for exactly that and tried some cookies and coffee as well. I set an appointment up to speak with someone about getting the services they offered. The cookies were some of the best I have had. I bought 6 to take home. The coffee was really good too. But what I experienced after that was not good. For my "appointment" I wasn't greeted with a hello how are you, it was just "what are you looking for". And I explained I was interested in their recovery programs they offered. I was just a few months sober at the time and was willing to get all the help to stay sober. He was not understanding, he was not nice. He said well I don't have anyone that can work with you. I'll send you an email with some links. He sent an email but it just further stated they didn't have any help for me. So I replied a few times in the coming month asking about their programs and if they had found anyone to help and he never replied. For someone newly in recovery this was sad for me and disheartening. I'm no stranger to AA and sponsorship so I had plenty of resources and help but was just looking for more right out of the gate. So this for benefit coffeehouse is apparently only beneficial for some it seems. I haven't met anyone yet that has used their free services. I would be interested in hearing anyone else's experience. I am a boring predictable person, and I often love a large ice water and McDonald's sausage biscuit in the morning for breakfast. Just a dry bland biscuit with a slice of greasy sausage. Today the appointment I had was postponed an hour later and I missed their breakfast hours so this led to me going on a hunt for something comparable. I didn't know anything about Coffeehouse Five, but apparently they have a few locations...including one in Franklin and soon in Bargersville? I went to the coffeehouse in Greenwood and there is a lot of construction nearby, but Google maps led the way and I got there with little fuss. There is ample parking out front and around the building. According to their website Coffeehouse Five is a "For-Benefit" establishment and their net revenue funds five initiatives--free mental health counseling, free marriage counseling, free addiction recovery programs, free mentor training, and a portion of proceeds each month are earmarked to help other mental health needs. These initiatives come together to support a stronger community...pretty cool, huh? I ordered, you guessed it, a sausage breakfast biscuit (minus the egg and cheese in the menu description). It came with a house-made parmesan cheese biscuit. I also grabbed a 4 Birds Bakery GF peanut butter & chocolate chip cookies...because whenever I see a 4 Birds cookie, I have to EAT a 4 Birds cookie My daughter ordered a strawberry smoothie with a shot of vanilla. I was super impressed they offered CashApp as a form of payment, but unfortunately I left my phone in the car. Everyone seems to want to PAY me with CashApp...but few places accept it as tender, so that was a pleasant surprise! The bill was just short if $20 with a 15% tip. Kinda pricey, compared to the $2.11 I am accustomed to paying...but I don't usually look for quality...and McDonald's doesn't have 4 Bird cookies, lol. And I am assuming McDonald's, as a corporation, doesn't use it's net revenues to fund initiatives that build a stronger local community--so there's that. And honestly? I don't mind paying a little more money every once in a while, especially if I can justify it with a little bit of philanthropy on the side. They had the food out to us quickly. They asked if I wanted my cookie warmed, I said no, it came that way anyway...who was I to argue, lmao! The biscuit was great...really. Soft, flavorful, seasoned well with 2 small greasy sausage patties (just like God intended). But, as I said, I am a boring person...a boring person who doesn't respond well to dairy...so I got about halfway thru and gave the rest to my daughter to enjoy while I gobbled down that warm monstrous cookie like a spoiled child. I think, if I was a person who enjoyed egg and cheese? This breakfast sandwich would have left my tummy full and satisfied. My daughter said her smoothie was incredible. Like a LEGIT smoothie, not a watered down slushy with some fruit added in for flavor. And teenagers are crazy picky so I took that as a big thumbs up. I loved the decor, it was roomy, lots of plants, seemed to be fairly handicap friendly (to be honest I didn't have my wheelchair using daughter with me so I wasn't paying TOO close attention), and I didn't use the restroom, so I don't know what that situation was. All in all? I would definitely feel comfortable inviting a friend here...good eats, drinks, a quiet spacious environment that supports a great cause--what's not to like? Only regret? Maybe I'm late to the game but this is the coziest little coffee shop. I stopped in on a Friday morning that I had off work to pick up some coffee before heading to the park. I was greeted right away and ordered a cold brew coffee and blueberry power bar. They have plenty of specialty coffee and tea options of a good selection of baked goods. The coffee was smooth and flavorful and delicious plain, it didn't need any additional flavors. The blueberry bar was not too sweet but had plenty of flavor between the fresh blueberries and pumpkin seeds on top. They are a for-benefit business so the profits go back into the community. There was a sign by the register stating that to date they have provided more than $120k in free counseling services. Looking forward to stopping in again and trying new items. read more

I literally Googled "unique places to get coffee in Greenwood" and Coffeehouse Five popped right up. I liked what I saw as far as the other review pictures showed, and the coffee looked pretty tasty. So we went. I was not disappointed. I ordered the iced pumpkin brûlée and the peanut butter chocolate chip scone (warmed up), and my husband got an iced maple caramello (I think that was the name). It was all very, very good! I thought the merchandise was cute as well, though we didn't purchase anything there. The dining area was nice and quiet and very relaxed, and I was more than happy to support a business that finds marriage to be as important as I do! It is interesting that in the last 6 months of visiting a Chevrolet dealership as well as this coffee place, after receiving less than satisfactory service at the Chevy dealership on US 31, a staff member of this business in Greenwood Indiana confronted me twice about walking to this coffee shop. This staff member has/had long, straight dark brown hair and appears to be female. Aside from these two encounters (it happened twice), the rest of the staff seems nice and are for the most part professional. The coffee and food is good. There is an overabundance of sweets. They sell keychains for $12.00 (I felt coerced into buying). I like the plants. I have also received less than satisfactory service at this coffee retailer but after continuing to go they started to treat me better especially when I stayed silent. read more
