They were very busy for a Thursday. Despite how busy it was, everyone was so friendly and working super quick to get everyone their drinks/food. The avocado toast was very fresh and just the right amount of food. No complaints there! I also loved that they gave me a glass cup for my order. Something to note: the seating can fill quickly during their busy waves but I got lucky with a seat outside then moved instead once it settled down. Lots of parking in the back as well (you can also enter through the back door)

Good Mythical Morning! Let's talk about that…read more I always think of Good Mythical Morning when seeing Mythical Coffee. That said, I don't think Rhett McLaughlin and Link Neal are involved with this adorable coffee shop. I digress! I recently ordered the Bourbon Peach Latte with oat milk ($6.50 + $0.75 for oat milk), Blueberry Pie Latte ($6.50), and a Breakfast Sammy with ham ($8). The Bourbon Peach Latte is a seasonal summer drink. It features caramelized sugar, simmered bourbon and heavy cream, real peaches, vanilla bean paste, and a touch of salt. You also get a cute peach gummy ring on the side. The Blueberry Pie Latte is another seasonal summer drink. It includes espresso, blueberry pie syrup, and milk, topped with cream cheese cold foam and a cinnamon graham cracker crumble. Honestly one of the best variations of a blueberry drink I've had at a coffee shop. My favorite blueberry-anything at any coffee shop actually. As for their Breakfast Sammy, it had garlic aioli, egg, ham, avocado, cheddar cheese, and Everything Bagel seasoning. You can definitely taste the garlic in this sandwich. It was a great way to start my Saturday after spin class. I totally ate back my calories but no regrets. If I were Benson Boone, I'd say that Mythical Coffee was mystical, magical. Two thumbs and a moon beam ice cream up!

The barista was patient as I took forever deciding between all the fun drink options! The decoration was super cute: very light/airy and wood accents, just like you'd imagine in a casita! Struggled a bit with this place especially after reading so many glorious reviews. It's clear to…read moreme that it really depends on what you're looking for and I'm looking for great espresso drinks. I'm just not finding it. I'm a big Cortado guy and they have one prominently on the menu. We've been here a few times and each time my wife's flavored latte is quite lovely, but would it be if it wasn't iced? The service is pleasant, the cafe itself is clean and cute, they have a restroom for patrons. But when it comes to pouring a Cortado, they don't know how to do it. It's just some steamed milk dumped on espresso in a paper cup. Any time a barista puts a cap on your cup (paper cups are generally a bad sign, but some are very good, but still not as good as glass cup poured versions) it's clear they intend to hide the lack of microfoam head, the art itself is how you build this drink. The pastries are great. I've wanted to like this place really because of the story, but if you're really into espresso there are so many better options than Cosita.

Here's a more natural, human-sounding Google review (cleaned up, correct spelling, and grounded in…read morewhat's actually said about them online--strong coffee, pastries, and genuinely warm service ): Moka & Co. is hands down one of my favorite spots in Mesa right now. Everything about it just feels right -- the vibe, the people, and especially the food. You can tell they actually care. The staff is super welcoming and generous, not in a forced way, just genuinely good energy from the second you walk in. Food-wise, they don't miss. The honeycomb with cream cheese inside is insane -- sweet, rich, and something you don't really see anywhere else. The Dubai chocolate latte is a must-try too, super smooth and indulgent without being over the top. The beef samosas are perfectly crispy and packed with flavor, and the chocolate pistachio croissant is easily one of the best pastries I've had in a while. Honestly, every time I go I end up trying something new and it's always solid. You can tell they put real thought into everything they serve. Definitely one of those spots you keep coming back to.

So we chose to go here on the way to accomplish some errands and well, it was disappointing. The Schtick is supposedly Turkish Style Coffee with Yemeni beans? Are they actually getting coffee beans out of Yemen right now? The menu didn't really feature Turkish Style Coffee as the forward offering. The employees were not rude or anything, but they, they were slow at making coffee. They also didn't know how to make coffee either. Pulling and espresso shot is easy, pouring a latte is not. and Moka & Co brewed a Cortado that was clearly just an espresso shot with some steamed milk glopped on top...which I've had that happen before at places that only have paper cups. BUT if you care about brewing coffee, you will pour a microfoam head in paper just as you would in ceramic. What's worse is that the coffee just tasted like dirt, if this is Yemeni coffee, it's bad. Seemed like there was potential here, but it was a waste of a morning when there are so many great coffee places in the core, we just need more of them in the East Valley. Unfortunately Moka & Co is just marketing and not a quality coffee shop.

The toy rotation keeps my kids occupied when we are there and excited to swing in for an amazing coffee (IN A REAL MUG) and my favorite (the one and only) breakfast pizza. Villa Meola has become the safe haven of my mom friends and mine. A refuge of sorts where our kids can be kids and we can breath easy as we are reminded they have not just a right to be in the public, but are wanted there. The toys are so creatively organized with wall hangings and baskets. Recently, we have been invited to a birthday celebration and even had a small one of our own and Villa Meola hung a simple banner that really made us feel so welcome. They are getting so inventive with both the food and drink while sticking to their strict clean and simple/ minimal ingredient food standards with their authentic Italian tastes. Midnight Taco has moved in which creates a very unique and fun curation of cultures and families but it's fun! Still just so grateful for a not so hidden gem to enjoy.

Minimalist, but that comfort of you know you're going to get coffee kind of vibe. I have visited so many coffee shops and this one just tops it up. Nothing fancy, just focused on good freaking crafted coffee!! The type you need starting of the week, middle of the week and end of the week!! Our server was also very nice. He recommended good options for coffees. We didn't try any specials, just the regulars. Latte and nitro brew.. but they were so dang good! I would def recommend this place, for people who are visiting and for locals!

My friend and I both ordered mediums with 75% sweetness, and it was the perfect drink for a hot, humid summer morning. Sweet enough to feel like a treat without being over the top. We also ordered matching bagel sandwiches. I do wish they offered a turkey bacon option, but the sandwiches were still hot, fresh, and delicious. The real star was the mayo aioli. I could probably put that on just about anything. The vibes are wonderful too. It's cozy, welcoming, and the kind of coffee shop where you want to linger with a friend for a while. My only critique is the layout of the front room. There always seems to be a line, but there's not really a good place for it to go besides in front of the entrance and the water station. It turns into a lot of "excuse me" and people weaving around each other. It's definitely a good problem to have because they're clearly popular, but I hope as they continue to flourish, they're able to expand into a larger space or rethink the flow a bit. Either way, I'll absolutely be back. Just save me another coconut brown sugar latte.
