"Drink One for Dane." Who is this Dane? (Definitely, not me.) I wondered, prodded me to research further, which I'll talk about later. I recently dropped by Dutch Bros in Mesa and decided to try their Cocomo in a large size with a soft top. Growing up, I didn't drink coffee but enjoyed pure chocolate drinks since we harvested our own cocoa beans (I can describe the chocolate process in detail). It's only recently that I've started exploring the world of caffeine. The Cocomo, a blend of coconut syrup, chocolate milk, espresso, and whipped cream, was a delightful surprise. The soft top added a creamy finish that made the drink even more enjoyable. The staff was friendly, and the service was prompt. I'm definitely looking forward to trying more from their menu next time. Going back to the poster, I found out that Dane Boersma was one of the co-founders of Dutch Bros Coffee, along with his brother, Travis Boersma. Their Dutch heritage explains the company's name. It was founded in Grants Pass, Oregon, in 1992, with humble beginnings where the brothers started with a pushcart selling coffee and grew it into the well-known drive-thru coffee chain it is today. Dane, known as "The Wise Man," passed away in 2009 from Lou Gehrig's disease. The "Drink One for Dane" fundraiser is an annual event dedicated to raising awareness and supporting community outreach. this was supposed to be a blended strawberry rebel with blue razz drizzle and blue razz float. They gave us the wrong drink at first as it was iced not blended and when we asked for them to give us the correct drink they threw whatever the first drink was into the blender and gave us this all while talking about us amongst eachother with their service window open so we could hear everything. Our drink was supposed to be pink with blue float and drizzle as it always is, along with that the drink tasted more like ice and flat redbull than a flavored drink. i will not be returning and i hope the work ethic really improves read more

Great location. They have the service down, people walk up to your car and take your order. Take a minute or two but if they bring out your drink before you get to the window they will walk it up to you and then you can pull over to drive off. The people working their are so friendly and great at small talk. The best drink i had was the mocha latte with a pump of vanilla and soft top. Delicious! Overall 5/5 read more

Cold Brews all day every day! I unfortunately don't come to Dutch as much as I used to since the took away heavy whipping cream. I try to stay clear of sugar options and this is my favorite drink with a splash of hwc and sf vanilla. Though I still pick up cold brews once in a while I end up having to add the cream at home. Instead of helping her co-worker take orders with the line of cars she was yapping away. Instead of getting out of the way so other customers could get their orders.... Do not buy from this location!!! I really wish they provided tickets so I could back up the statement that I'm about to make but I'll provide some pictures to back it up. I came here at night and ordered 2 medium Iced Cookie Butter Latte's. I noticed that the total for my drink was not what it usually comes out to whenever I order the same exact order. They ended up charging me $17.00 with no tip added as seen in the first image below. I then proceeded to attempt to make an online order to see what the total would be on the app and the total for the same exact order was $13.97 as seen in the image attached. To make it clear I am not tripping about the difference, I'm just really upset about the values and morals behind this location. Before the lady showed me the tip option on the screen she stated that the total would be $17.00 and that's when I immediately noticed something wasn't right so I then proceeded to not add tip on the transaction so I could make my own research. I ordered one drink, I was the first person to walk up and a line formed after me and 5 people that came after and ordered got their drinks before me. I felt that was bad service. I could be wrong but I didn't think my iced rebel was that difficult to make especially since other Dutch locations will make it fairly quickly. read more

Found my fave location not too far from home. Amazing, lightning-fast crew, great service, & of course the drinks!!! The only drawback is you have to "flip a u-turn" to get in here if you're coming from the freeway either way but I'll do it anytime just to get my Dutch fix!!! read more

The parking lot is small and cars in the drive through can block those in the few parking spots available. We come to this location many times a week since it's down the street from us so as a regular, it's surprising to have one of the baristas disregard line order and skip the order in which we pulled up. Jacob, our barista, needs to work on understanding how the line works. We get people have off day but we had to say something in order for him to respect the line and he looked at us, ignored us and went to the car that cut everyone else. There's lots of dutch bros to choose from, but we like this location because it's convenient. Any time I come to this Dutch Bros location, I always have some sort of issue. On my most recent visit, the walk up window area was absolutely putrid. The ground was so dirty and sticky/gross from drinks being spilled. It is a newer location, yet it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. I ordered 2 drinks and when the drinks were handed over to me, the cups were all wet and sticky. On another occasion, I went through the drive thru. The order taker was outside in the line using the tablet. I told the guy what I wanted, and he proceeded to ask, "What's that?" I was so confused. He was then asking me if it was a coffee or what type of drink it was because he didn't know. Ummm, how can you be taking orders and not be familiar with the menu? Date of visit - 1/5/24 at 8pm Pulled through the crismon location, we were very excited to check out this location but am sad to say our experience was lower than below average. Ordered a hot cocoa that wasn't even steamed. It was just cold chocolate milk in a hot cup. While the window person didn't talk to us, we saw the baristas on the espresso bar free pouring large amount of syrup into the Rebel energy drinks. I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to do that? Everyone who works the morning shift are constantly messing up the drink's, they lack the flavor and are improperly made with adding too much ice or blending it wrong possibly, there's also been times when the drinks had chunks of unknown things in the freedom rebels. Anytime we've gone there past 12 we've had no problems with the drinks, they taste how they should and are made perfectly, the employees after 12 are super sweet and fun to talk to! read more
