He and his coworker were standing on the side goofing off while a blonde barista was working hard by herself trying to make all of the drinks. Their online ordering never works.... very slow in the morning. I often put in the order before I leave home. It takes me 10 mins to drive there and it is never ready 5 mins into my wait at the store. When I ask where is my order they inform me that their system does not seem to be working and can they start the order now. Don't offer the online service if you can't handle it. The customer service is nice but I've come here 2 times in a row and they've gotten my order wrong both times. The first time, I ordered online and I understand if they don't have certain items in stock but the second time, I ordered in person and I was pretty clear about my order (starting with size and hot/cold because I know that baristas need the size and type of drink to write the order, as well as the name of the drink) but the barista misunderstood my order two or three times and charged me for the wrong drink. I ended up showing a picture of the drink from the app menu. The manager was very nice about it and refunded me the difference. read more

This is the worst Starbucks in the entire country. We have tried this location at least ten times and they have consistently made mistakes or always out of essential items to make their drinks. They must have the worst managers out of all the Starbucks. Their lines are always moving so slow due to the incompetent staff and they never post any signs of all the items they ran out of. It's so frustrating to wait 15 minutes in line to be told they can't make your drink. The staff will also argue that chunks of curd soy floating in your drink is suppose to be there when it's never like that at any other Starbucks. Avoid this location. read more

I think Starbucks is just getting worse. Don't get me wrong, their quality is still pretty much the same, but their atmosphere is really showing their company's size. Each time I head back to Starbucks, it just feels like the place gets dirtier and crappier. I have come to expect a certain level of "customer experience" when stepping into a Starbucks. I have visited this store several times and nothing ever stood out except a very crowded/popular atmosphere. My drink was made just as expected however my fiance's PSL was weak, unsweet and there was practically no whip. Very poor experience. When she went back to have them remake it they made her stand in line all over again to get it prepared correctly. I love Starbucks, but this experience was enough to push me to write this review. This Starbucks and its employees are friendly, efficient and know how to make a good drink. The location is usually relatively clean - a few debris here and there but nothing that makes you disgusted. Milk bar is kept clean and is always stocked. My small complaint about this Starbucks is the location itself. It's at the end of a very popular shopping center, sharing its island of a divided building with a Jason's Deli. It's can be pretty frustrating trying to get into the parking lot to begin with because of all the traffic. Then to actually find a space that's easy to get in/out of is another task. There is also only ONE way in/out of this lot - another minor difficulty. Of course, none of this is an end-all for my Pumpkin Spice addiction. I guess the added effort to get in here makes it taste all the more sweeter? Riiiight... read more

I visit the Fair Lakes SB quite often and prefer this location over any other sites in the DC area with the exception of the Fairfax City location (it has more usable working desk space). One of the factors that I think makes for a good store is the professionalism of the store manager. At Fair Lakes SB the manager is first rate. He hires good people, interacts well with customers and is attentive to his store. I've even caught him cleaning the outdoor tables and bathrooms! read more

Had a frustrating experience a few days ago. Americano had too much water. There was no line and it took a good 7 minutes to get my coffee. Not to mention taking another 3 minutes to ring up and call my drink. It's not one of those gay corny long shaken and not stirred kinds of drinks either. Grande, 2 pump classic Americano. ... I have to wait forever for mobile pick-up. Once they forgot to make mine because it was put more towards last priority, especially on busy days. The service there makes up for it (on less busier days it's easier for them to show off their excellent service and friendly demeanor towards customers). Was walking in the store while I was on the phone but I told the lady who works there that I was still thinking. She briskly walked away. She came out and she gave me attitude and instead took the order of the person behind me. But the man was nice enough to say i was first. She ignored me and gave me attitude " I did asked, but she said she was on the phooonnne" no kidding you could hear her sassiness from the way she talked. Not coming here again. Good job starbucks. My go-to place to have coffee and read comics. I really like this location because it's much cleaner than the other local ones and has significantly more chairs and table space if you're going to have a longer session.
