We visited in an afternoon with few customers. The barista did not take our names. Our coffee order sat in the pickup area as customers before and after us picked up their named orders. We kept an eye of the table to retrieve our pastry order. When it finally arrived, each item was mismarked. The coffee and food were good, but the disorganization was disappointing. read more

And not by switching it with another, they got us the drinks we ordered, but iced instead of hot, whole milk instead of soy milk, etc. We informed the barista and he apologized and went to fix it. 10 minutes later he had delivered several drinks while we stood at the counter and the new drinks were not delivered to us. We had to interrupt and ask them about the drinks...and had to explain the whole thing again. If the store is always this busy, they need to have a competent shift lead/manager in place to keep the service delivery flowing properly. Folks are nice but their machines seem to always be breaking down and I have not encountered this issue at other Starbucks. Most recently blender has been broken for three weeks (still pending repair). I live a mile away but have to visit a Starbucks further out because of this. So service is sufficient but location is unreliable for purchasing product. read more

I come here all the time, I was always pleased with the service and the way drinks turned out. These past few months its gone down hill. The baristas never pay attention to my customizations. The drinks are never filled to the top, lite ice doesn't mean anything to them, and if i ask for extra strawberries in my strawberry açai, I get the default. This is one of the largest Starbucks I have ever seen! It's very deep - meaning you can go back a looooooonnnnngggggg ways into it! I stopped here today for java after eating breakfast/lunch at Virginia Bagel which is just next door. There is a ton of seating in here! Tables and chairs, bars with stools, comfy couches and plush chairs, plus a small area cordoned off for children to play - complete with some toys! When I ordered my Grande coffee - they were in the midst of brewing up a fresh batch and so we had to wait for 5 minutes - BUT - they gave me and the others that were waiting for our coffee - our coffee for FREE! I was surprised by that! I got the Bold, Christmas option once again. The post-lunch rush must have just occurred - all of the sudden there was a very long line. I was amused by the woman who came in and ordered a complex drink that included the requirement - 190 degrees. I was so very tempted to get back in line and loudly ask for a drink that would be 193.75 degrees, a caffeination rating of .083 on the Greveltch Scale, with a residual takeon field rating of 0.0000008 Terahertz. :-) But I didn't. This Starbucks is sooooo long and deep - that they have not one - but two separate stations for adding sweetener, creams, and milks to drinks. Of course there is a T-mobile wireless internet connection here - a few folks were sitting about clacking away on their keyboards - doing laptoppish things. read more

I hit the Giant next door for a friend and noticed this Starbucks here. I had not had a cup of coffee all morning. I walk into a pretty spacious room with a smiley and eager order taker. She was so friendly. I noticed they had a smores drink advertised and I asked her about it. She was very responsive and says it's soooo good. I guess I'll have to get one, one day. As I was waiting for my drink two employees were teying to assist this guy who swears he pre-ordered a coffee but the employees looked at their logs and determined they had not been made aware of the order. They were super nice to the guy and suggested perhaps he called the wrong location. He didn't get a drink but the apology from the employees was very kind. I was impressed. I have been living in the area for close to 20 years and try to avoid this Starbucks especially during the weekend. The drinks and service depend on who is working. The am crew during the week tends to be better than the weekend crew. The Staff at Stone road tend to be chatty behind the counter and slow to acknowledge the customer. Unfortunately, things did not improve post pandemic. I prefer to go to the location at Centrewood or Union mill. The service tends to be quicker, more attentive and the green cup inserts are in the common pick up area. read more

I'm not a fan of Starbucks, however this Starbucks has to be the best one I've ever been to. Their staff is fast, efficient, and helpful and their selection of sandwiches is better than other Starbucks in the area. Most Starbucks in this area are an ordeal to go to because they are so slow. This one however is fast, keeps the line moving, and remembers your order. When purchasing supplies to make coffee at home, instead of selling me a little bottle of vanilla coffee flavoring that was sitting out on their display shelf, they suggested and sold me one of their large bottles that they use for making their coffee drinks for only a dollar more. Not only was the flavor of the syrup better, but I got five times more syrup for a buck. read more

I don't have an I'd but a complaint. I was doing Uber eats delivery. I took an order that took me to your establishment on stone road in Centreville Virginia. I waited at the door for about 15 minutes. I called two - three times but still no answer. There were three people inside and they saw me I even knocked on the door. They still didn't even see what I need or just tell me they were close it would of been the polite thing to do. None of them decided to do anything. I had to cancel the person order. read more

When it comes to Starbucks, cleanliness is a HUGE deal. I mean, what good is consistency when the facility is dirt. I'm so happy that my neighborhood Starbucks keeps everything tidy, and condiments are always well stocked! The biggest thing I notice here is definitely the service. Very friendly staff who remembers everyone's drinks. Not quite mine yet, but hopefully soon they will. Who doesn't want a morning pick-me-up before their "morning pick-me-up"? Cheery staff helps with that! Lastly, the consistency in their drinks are spot on. I can't say how many times I've been disappointed in the way my normal lattes are made at other Starbucks locations. Depends on who's working. The typical morning teams are solid and because of that, this is my go-to Starbucks due mostly to the fact that they feature the Clover machine which I order to sample the selections of Reserve Roasts when we run out of our small-lot delivery from Moustache. But the afternoon shift, of late has featured a collection of newb baristas who are undertrained and will lie to your face about the Clover machine being broken instead of admitting that they don't know to use it. If you can't operate the equipment I have to knock a star off the training process - if you can take a shift off to teach your staff about unconscious bias, you can spend 15 minutes teaching them how to brew and scrape. It's the staff that makes this Starbucks great! Very friendly and if you're a regular, they call you by name. Any special order lattes are always perfect. I have noticed very particular people asking for certain baristas to make their drinks as if one else can make it right. It's a credit to the quality of baristas at Stone Rd Starbucks. It has plenty of indoor seating available including two large tables for a large study group. This Starbucks also has a separate, closed in children play area, complete with toys to keep them quiet! Only one or twice have I ever received a drink I was not happy with but for the most part I am pleased with the quality of the drinks I have bought. This is my "on the way to work" Starbucks and I have to say that all of the reviews below are 100% true and valid. Although we just moved to the area a few weeks ago and haven't become a "regular" yet, the staff truly is friendly and fast--even in the mornings and weekends. There was one occasion (on a busy Saturday morning) where someone accidentally grabbed my drinks so I waited longer than normal for my drinks. I informed them and they remade the drinks. The manager immediately gave me a free drink coupon to rectify the situation. As a marketing professional, THAT's how you keep people coming back. I normally get my coffee at this location and it has been fine. I got Iced Vanilla Soy Coffee Latte this morning and it wasn't good at all. The coffee was bland, cant barely taste the vanilla syrup. The label said soy but I really don't think the barista put soy milk in there. I'm lactose intolerance which make me have a fairly bad reaction to reg milk. As I was mentioned, my body reacted badly to the coffee I had in the morning, that I had to left work early. Very disappointed and will not return! read more
