The BIG But... if you pull through the drive-thru in a small vehicle (Prius size), when you pull out there is a BUSH blocking your vision line and you can't see cars coming from the left. In the winter it is better. This summer I have stopped going because of the bush. It is a little better pulling out of the very small parking lot exit. This Starbucks is situated near a stoplight of very busy roads, so the line of vision is critical. I will update my review if they get rid of the bush because the service is great. read more

I frequent this location often. The employees are great and very understanding. I order the same exact thing with no substitutions of anything extra. The lid never fits my cup. It's always popping off. I have lost count of how many have spilled in my car/on my way in to work. Some days my drink will be well shaken and mixed and other times it is all separate and sitting at the bottom of the cup. One day I came and ordered a breve with 4 shots and woman argued with me about what it was called, find different places call different things. I got it and it was missing extra shots and I hadn't been charged for them- she was too busy arguing. Went in to pay and get the extra shots and was charged 2.50 for 2 shots added to a drink. Paid over $8 for an 8oz drink. Went back thinking it was just this one gal that was the problem. Coffee was burnt and got order wrong again. I went through the drive thru of this Starbucks on my birthday and asked for a mystery flavored Frappuccino with no fruit flavoring. The barista who made me my drink was so nice and made me a drink that tastes so good. It had cinnamon caramel and extra caramel drizzle in. We've all been to Starbucks and you wouldn't really think that any one location would stand out from another. Oddly enough, this one does. They have an absolutely spectacular staff who are friendly, courteous and helpful. They stop to talk to you, are patient and their customer service skills are wonderful. I've never felt like a number here, or been treated with the "get your shit and get out" attitude that I have in other locations. The shop is quite small, but has sort of an intimate/cozy feel instead of being cramped. I typically walk over from the mall when I'm shopping to grab something. I love the chai latte and vanilla bean frappuchino. For holiday drinks, my favorites are the peppermint mocha and pumpkin spice latte. read more

Grateful for this Starbucks on Valley River Way. I was staying at the Valley River Hotel and was able to ride a bike down to it rather than drink the stuff they hand out free at the hotel. However, this is a very tight location--squeezed into a small corner of a strip mall near the River. There is not much room and that also applies to the parking spaces. A small outdoor area exists but this being Oregon, that means most of the time, the chairs and tables are wet or damp and there is not much pleasure in enduring a cold breeze or brisk rainfall outside, while you savor your latte and Michigan Cherry Bar. I was reminded of just how babied I am at my regular Starbucks in San Diego, where I come in and get a cup, go on a bike ride and then come back later for another (free) refill with my gold card. The male cashier here was not going to do it. He told me I had to stay there and not leave in order to get my refill. When I explained that I had that gold card and there are free refills whenever, he wasn't having it. Still, I am thankful for a Starbucks wherever I may roam and this one is certainly no different. 3 YELP STARS. read more

I'm not a frequent Starbucks goer but this new location is MUCH improved compared to the previous one over by Dickie's that it replaced. This location is more spacious and open with a good amount of indoor seating and light (was it just me or did that other one feel like a dungeon??), along with a drive thru line and a better entrance/parking flow. I recently ordered ahead one morning and just popped in on my way to work to pick up my drink, and I was greeted by a genuinely friendly crew that was all smiles at 5:45 am!! Way to go! read more

It's brand new and there's a drive thru and a parking lot if you would rather go inside. It's bigger than I thought it would be. There is plenty of space to work or just spend some time with friends and chat. It's a really open space inside, I liked it. The staff was nice and our drinks were made pretty quickly. It was also really clean and I don't know what it is, but there's something about a clean Starbucks that makes me really happy. read more

I'm not normally a Starbucks fan but there weren't any local cafes in the area and I needed a quick coffee and bite to eat before work. I decided to try the drive-thru and ordered a turkey bacon and egg white breakfast sandwich with a latte. It's weird because the menu doesn't have their breakfast items on it only the ones they are promoting. It was weird asking "can you tell me what sandwiches you have?" Since I don't go here often I didn't have any idea. Anyways the reason I gave them 5 stars is because the customer service was amazing. The woman at the window was so nice and friendly when interacting with me. I appreciated her taking the time to actually chat with me while I waited for my order. The latte was pretty good, very strong. The breakfast sandwich was simple and filling but nothing amazing. I did order the "healthy" one though so that's probably why! If I need some coffee in this area again I'll keep this location in mind. read more

There was a young lady who helped me get closer to gold card holder. I had multiple transactions but needed it all in one receipt. What is up with the increased prices for espresso? It's a coffee shop - it shouldn't cost almost 6.50 just to get a 4 shot mocha. The service was not bad at all at this location, but I'm grumpy at the price increase, and I tried this location (new to me, at least) because i wanted to work on my computer for a while, and there was almost no seating, its way too loud in there, and I don't think I should be spending $10 to get a coffee and donut - for that i could have gone to a lunch place in the afternoon and had way more table space and quiet. read more

Not sure if it's the same management, but this location has closed and the new one is now near the Olive Garden restaurant on Valley River Drive. It's horrible. The parking lot is very cramped and hard to get in and out of. The line is always long and it takes forever to even order, and then you have to wait forever for the order to be filled (or not filled, as has been my experience both times I've gone here). Then, to top it off, there's no seating even though the space is much larger! Rather than tables, they have a huge section taken up with 4 easy chairs. The last time we went there was literally no place to sit, so we went and sat in our car. I'm so disappointed in this new location, and will be trying to find another place to fill the void of the old, cozy and quaint location with good service. read more
