Cafe Aroma is located just inside the Valley River Center (at the entrance nearest Fuji Japanese Steakhouse). They are a small independent coffee shop with locally sourced products. I believe this is their only location. I ordered an Americano with Gingerbread syrup (sf) & oat milk. The drink was made promptly by friendly baristas and the quality of the beverage was excellent. This is a great coffee option when you're spending time at the Valley River Center. read more

I'm pretty sure it was Daisy who served me most recently. She was fun to chat and efficiently made my tasty peppermint white mocha. I am not often in the mall, but when I am I always stop by Cafe Aroma as a treat for doing whatever it was I had to go to the mall for! They do have lots of little tables if you have time to sit, it's much more restful than the food court. Hey yelp I already mentioned efficient service let's see that green check mark . There it is. Grace, the batista, was all by herself on a busy, pre-Christmas evening. She did a great job of staying on top of the orders. She seemed to alternate taking orders with making drinks. I think she did that very well. BTW, they have a good assortment of pastries. read more

My husband and I went in here a couple days ago, as we were shopping and it was nice to walk around with some hot tea/coffee. Next time I'll walk across the parking lot to Starbucks. We went in and ordered. My husband ordered for me, as I was having trouble focusing on the menu given I had a fractured nose. The woman who took our order had zero personality. Greeting consisted of,"hi." Nothing else. It wasn't even a warm hi, it was hi with the grumpy sigh attached to it. Not impressed here to start with, and it goes downhill from here. So as I said earlier, the point of stopping in here was to have HOT tea/coffee to take with us shopping. I had a chai latte. It literally took 8 seconds for it to be made. I didn't even have time to take my phone out of my pocket and open any apps. It was either pre-made, or she threw it into a cup and handed it off. As I was walking away, I told my husband it wasn't hot. He was fine with it being room temperature, but I wasn't. He pointed out how long he has to wait at Starbucks versus this place. I'm like, that's because they take time and actually make a drink, plus steam it so it's hot. Plus Starbucks employees have a personality, and are social. You know, be warm and memorable, so someone wants to come back? Yeah, didn't happen here. Would I return? Highly unlikely. I don't visit here a lot, mostly when I'm out doing holiday shopping and it's great for warming up my hands in chilly weather. When my drink is room temperature, it defeats the purpose of wanting a hot drink. Plus it being served by someone with no personality? Yeah, there's far better coffee shops out there. read more

The drip coffee is good. Nothing wrong with the service when I went there, just don't expect red carpet service.

Honestly greqt coffee, but being personable or friendly is a huge deal. My girlfriend and myself walked away feeling the two girls working were rude and absolutely not friendly. As if doing their job was a nightmare. And our orders were simply with no special requests. Don't recommend if you are having a great day and want to stay away from black clouds. read more

If i could rare zero i would, paid $5 for a blended rockstar drink thats basically liquid in a cup, not much blending happened. Then she tried to put it in a small plastic cup with OVER half still left in the blender, if i pull out a full rockstar from your little mini fridge in front i would expect to get my full rockstar in return and not half of it lol Who ever is training these girls needs to be tought how to make actual coffee as well, ive had the worst tasing latte in my life from this place. While I was waiting for the girl behind the counter to ring me up, the girl behind me started talking to the employee. I found out the girl who was making my beverage worked at an adult shop and how she just got tired of it....ok, so maybe stuff like that shouldn't be talked about in front of customers. If the girl who was behind me was also an employee, she should know better than to proceed with conversation during a customer's transaction. I'm thinking that the girl at the counter has no healthy boundaries and has no clue what professionalism is about. The coffee here is wonderful but more than anything, the service makes the experience for me. I feel like I'm home every time I visit Cafe Aroma. The ladies there know my order and are super fast and friendly. If I could rate them higher, I would. Also, super excited to see they have quiche in now. I've had a lot of bad quiche in my life so I was a bit apprehensive at first, but I'm glad I gave this one a try. Will definitely be getting breakfast here more often. read more

I have never had a good cup of coffee here. Today my husband ordered hot chocolate and it was lukewarm and had chunks of powder in it. I don't know about the customer service, but I do know it sucks to work at the mall and if the employees aren't happy it is probably a tepid place to work. read more

Shameful customer service. I go here often because of a favorite drink on the menu, but it's become more & more difficult to justify the visit due to the smileless, indifferent, unhappy girls who work there. If you dont enjoy your job, perhaps it's time to find another job that does not require customer service skills. You make buying a coffee a very disappointing experience. I went to Cafe Aroma with a friend today. Her drink came up very quickly, while mine was taking awhile. After about 5 minutes I asked about my drink - a small almond milk late, to which the barista's snarky reply was "oh cool." She then started to make my drink after forgetting to do so earlier. Rude.
