My SO put me out of my self imposed misery by ordering a croissant, which afforded me the opportunity to get the palmier. Palmiers are one of my favorite pastries/cookies (which one is it?). My SO once bought me a half burnt palmier and I quickly ate it without one compaint. I never buy those containers of mini palmiers at Costco because they would be gone very quickly and I would feel very guilty. I know my palmiers. Croissants, on the other hand, are how I judge a bakery, if they happen to make croissants. I don't think I'm super snobby, but I know a good croissant when I eat one (good for me, anyway). Noisette's croissant had buttery flaky layers on the outside with a moist and tender inside. This was as awesome as a croissant gets. The palmier was different from any other I've had. It was almost one inch thick (which is about twice as thick as your standard bakery palmier). The innermost layers were slightly tender, sort of like the inside of a croissant, but not quite. What a wonderful and new experience in eating my beloved palmier. Thank you Noisette's. Oh yeah, all the other pastries and food looked pretty darn good too, haha. Please keep this place in business for the next time we're back in Eugene.

Our hand pie was very cold in the center, but we suffered through it. The little almond brown butter cake thing was great. I would go early on a weekday if ever again.

Apparently Native Coffee is a fairly new company and they've opened a couple of stands in less than a year so they seem to be off to a good start. I visited about 10 days after they opened this location so I'm not sure if they usually have drink specials or not; it didn't seem like they had any today. Luckily it doesn't tend to matter to me since I don't drink coffee; I'm a chai or lemonade gal. Their chai was really good, and though I don't know for a fact it's not Oregon Chai brand, I'd be really surprised. The chai they have here is really subtle in flavor, whereas Oregon Chai is very very sweet. I was really pleased with this drink. The guy who took my order was super friendly and thanked me for stopping by. I usually don't buy pastries when stopping at a coffee trailer, but I'm glad I asked because they were really great. I hadn't heard of a lemon roll before but yummmmm. Definitely pick one up if they still have them when you stop by, and since they keep them in the fridge for freshness I'd definitely microwave them for 30 seconds or so (actually, warm them up even if you live it at room temp for a bit). Native Coffee is a great addition to the coffee options in Eugene, and worth a stop if you're in west Eugene.

But then I looked at other comparable places around town: also locally-owned and homemade-focused. CPR is still way more expensive! $7.50 for a 12-ounce mocha PLUS $1.25 to sub oat milk. That's $8.75 for a small drink. The most I can find alternative milk costing per drink is $0.75 in town. No matter how good your food is or how much you've put into it, I cannot justify spending $8.75 for a 12 ounce treat more than once or twice a year. I'm sorry I can't visit more often. :(
