Very disappointed. First time going to the Starbucks and I have to say all I got was a bunch of attitude for no reason. I ordered a chai latte and a cheese danish. I asked the girl to please warm up the cheese danish and she rolled her eyes at me and was upset that I was bothering her. She had dark hair put up in a bun with glasses. I didn't get her name but people like that should not be working in this business, if you cannot treat people kind, she must have woke up on the wrong side of the bed and she took it out on me and I think that that wrong of her thank you but no thank you. Came back and they got my order right this time. Although, I only ordered 1 drink. However, my same complaint of how dirty this location still stands. The floor was absolutely sticky to walk on. I also don't like how they allow all dogs in this place where I'm going to eat. Clearly not a guide dog. This I believe is against health codes and should be rectified ASAP. This is the busiest Starbucks, I swear! Service is hit or miss. Some staff is the friendliest ever! Some does not give one F!@#$ and could not be bothered. That being said, because this Starbucks is so busy, they honestly should have a few extra people here. Ordered a tall gingerbread oleato latte at 5am ready to get things done for the day. A tall is a small in Starbucks lingo, and it's still pretty pricy. Took a first sip and was disappointed that the latte tasted so mild. When oleato was release it raised some speculation, but it adds a spicy kick to the coffee and makes it worth it especially paired with gingerbread--the flavors would really compliment each other. I feel like I was being tested to see if the oleato was actually there but it just tasted so bland... read more

I visited this Starbucks location solely to utilize the WiFi to assist me with my homework, and the fact that it sits a few stores down from a FedEx Office so I can print my homework once completed. I arrived to this location prior to 7:00 PM, thinking that it closed at 8:00 PM, but little did I know that it closed at 9:00 PM. As the clock struck 8:00 PM, I noticed that the baristas did not inform anyone that there were closing so I looked them up to find that they closed at 9:00 PM. Realizing that it closed at 9:00 PM, and not 8:00 PM put me at ease and it gave me some wiggle room to finish my homework assignment. After the relief, I ordered a Teavana tea w/ a blueberry scone, so that I could contribute to this location in some way since I did use their WiFi to assist me with my homework. As I did my homework, I overheard the bubbly barista to customer conversations along with the sound of the espresso machines, which sometimes both can be annoying depending on my mood. I put on one of my favorite songs 'Heads Will Roll' by Yeah Yeah Yeahs to somewhat drown the chatter out and alter my mood in the process. Seating is actually limited at this location. There is only one solid table and a long-board work station along the window, but other than that, there is nothing else so keep that it mind if you choose to visit during the morning and afternoon hours when it tends to get crowded. As for parking, your only option is either street or neighborhood. There is a tiny parking lot behind this location, but it is for tenants only! And if you park in it, you are liable to get towed by S&S Towing so keep that in mind unless you do not mind contributing funds to S&S Towing, along with your vehicle, hehe. [Dbl Esp w/whp] At 10:49am on 9/14 I sadly received it as a single, enjoyed it, got bk in line for a triple this time. I let the clerk know i feel i received a single, she pulled over the Mgr./Barista [5'2 blond/35-40ish/hair pulled bk] that was on the line and SHE OWNED the situation, didn't say i was rt and she was wrong or visa versa... Just "i got a fresh new Triple coming rt up for ya." I was speachless. Her actions and approach to the situation loved on me and she respected what i thought was incorrect. Fixed it, made me so grateful and beyond contentment. Corporate needs to hear this, acknowledge this and see this. This is why im loyal to companies. I can afford to eat and drink anywhere i wish. Grabbed a drink, something sweet, and a chair in the adjoining room to jump on line somewhere other than my place. Service was good, drink was fine, the pastry was tasty. I work from home, and this is the closest Starbucks to my place. I used to enjoy coming here, until they decided to turn it into a nightclub with how loud the music is! This is a coffee shop, not a Vegas strip club. I really like that they have the additional room in the back -- makes your chances to grab a table easy. Parking around this place is next to impossible. However, the staff makes solid drinks and they have fresh salads. Been coming to this location for a while, but they are always understaffed when they know very well the magnitude of people that come through in the morning. I just got done being in there waiting for my drink for 25 minutes. I got my drink, and they didn't even put the chai in my CHAI latte. Honestly this is just a joke. They did give me a refund but that was before they messed up the drink in general. They said I waited so long because their machine ran out of stickers so they simply didn't even know my order existed until I said something. I was really trying to refrain from doing so because I knew they were swamped. But thank god I did or I would've been waiting for god knows how long. I come here a lot to work, they have a pretty large space with tables and good wifi. The staff is always nice and pretty quick when not during the couple busy times of the day (morning 7/8). Only downside here is that there is not one place in this cafe that you won't feel the cold draft of the doors. Best Starbucks I have ever been, everyone there is really nice and friendly, they will greet you and accommodate you. They are also so patience and polite, you can take your time by choosing orders from their menu. Lots of their staff are so energetic and they are so happy welcoming their customers. All of them are so extremely efficient. Their place are always clean and decorated, you will be amazed once you entered at their store. They also have huge parking lot, and also you can go for a drive-thru, they are so fast giving the orders of their customers. This the perfect location for meetings, bonding with friends, me-time, couples, and also for a family. The ambiance at their store are so awesome. So impressed with the place and with the staff as well. All of them are so professional, super friendly and accommodating. Alright. It's Starbucks--good coffee, good price. This location is convenient to the house. The decor in the secondary seating area is unique, and the outside seating space is cramped but adequate. The baristas are never rude but aren't very friendly either. This might be because of the busyness of this particular location. Why a 3-star rating? First, they have messed up my order more than once, including yesterday's order. I asked for a sweet vanilla cream cold brew and got an iced coffee with a shot of vanilla instead. The line was long and the baristas worked fervently to keep up. I didn't see anyone waiting a long time for their order but I did witness another patron voice complaint over their order being incorrect. I also frequent the Starbucks at Armitage and Hoyne. The baristas are incredibly friendly and they have never messed up my order, even when the line is out the door. Customer service goes a long way. I expect a little more from a company I consider to be a model of customer service. They have an excellent brand that unfortunately the Division street location doesn't embrace. read more

This is probably the worst Starbucks I've ever been to terribly organized, stuffed a store in the smallest room possible. As a military veteran I've slept in one man tents bigger than this store. OK, OK it's Starbucks...the corporate giant that drives all the mom and pop coffee shops out of business. Enough said. This Starbucks is a little different and the difference is the staff. Each staff member has taken the time to get to know my name and make friendly conversation on a daily basis. Try to find that at any other corporate coffee shop, where they are just looking to push you across the conveyor belt and out the door. They know exactly what I drink and at times have it ready by the time I get to the counter, without me even asking. It reminds me of some of the best bartenders I know. One barista has even taken the time, during a huge rush, to walk my drink out to me while I'm waiting in line. That's good, personalized customer service, something that tends to be missing in our most of our society these days. I wanted to mention two particular employees in particular, Jen and Carmen. I have to be at work at 6 am every day. If I go to this Starbucks at 5:01, one minute after they open, Jen and Carmen have a coffee made for me and waiting on the counter, exactly the way I want it. Each has a smile and a compliment for me, allowing me to start the day off right. That's great customer service. If there is one draw back, it's some of the customers. Please don't leave your poor dog tied up and uncontrollably barking while you sit inside and enjoy a latte...Fido loves you and wants your attention. Also enough with nearly hitting the pedestrians in the crosswalk on Paulina as you fly through without looking. Your coffee can wait. read more

The baristas are slower than molasses in getting drinks made, and their brains seem equally slow. They generally have 4 people behind the counter, and with even as few as 3 people in line, I wait 5-7 minutes for a drink. These idiots owe me cab fare for all the buses I've had to miss due to their lack of skill and knowledge of product inventory. I've lost count how many times I've ordered something with the cashier, only to have a barista tell me they're out of a mix or ingredient. It's a high-traffic area, look at the size of your store, plan accordingly. And look like you care, a little. I know honey, it's minimum wage. Coffee can be REALLY stressful, especially when all the prep is already done for you. Stick with Alliance, Caffe Streets, or Letizia's a bit further west. read more

Great location. Very spacious inside. Comfy chairs in the front main area, and then there's a room to the right on a "lower" level with more tables and chairs. I hide away in there when I'm working from home and only buy $3 worth of food/drink. The restrooms are also in this room which is nice. Staff is always nice, no complaints. Food & drinks taste good. I am a coffee junkie and I go to Starbucks like 3 times during a work day. Mostly in the loop, but I stop by this one on Division on my way home. I've never had any serious problem with their coffee, or any of their beverages for that matter .. I mean, its Starbucks .. you know what they got. As far as service goes, I would have to say that this is one of the surliest team of workers I've ever seen in the chain. Granted, I only am in contact with the afternoon shift. The employees here are nonchalant, smug, and borderline rude. I walked up to the counter today (no line, not busy) and a newer round girl-cashier just stared at me with a blank "what do YOU want" expression. And it seems to be a culture there.. over the years I've seen new employees come in and they all adopt the same disdain for customers. Their coffee is brewed with spite. read more

Customer service is good but the food & bev case is rarely full and (most importantly, as many a remote worker will tell you) the wifi is slower than molasses. Seriously, it takes 30 seconds to open a single email with gmail in basic HTML. Not all coffee shop wifi networks are created equal and this one is not worth it if you need to do anything online. read more

What people don't want to admit is that each Starbucks is different. The drinks and the food will taste too consistent between stores, but they still manage to have different personalities. This Starbucks is of the "grab a coffee and run" variety. You have your tables and wifi like every other Starbucks, but the layout is pretty jank and the baristas, while polite and professional, are mostly just there to get your drink out and get you out the door. Starbucks is an alternative I don't mind taking when I just want something familiar, but I spend most of my time elsewhere. read more

Nothing fancy, pretty standard Starbucks. Nice and clean and they have plenty of tables for working.

Friendly staff, but the coffee is never consistent. The store seems like it's kept clean, and the food always comes out warm [if it needs to be heated]. I just wish they washed their coffee machines more often and brewed a little more frequently so they can keep the coffee fresh rather than leave it be when theres no customers. Three stars for now... I love love love this place. I have gone to many Starbucks in the city. And working for Starbucks in LA, I have pretty high standards for Starbucks. This one is clean, friendly, and the drinks come out amazing every time. I though out my many visits to Chicago to see my family, I try to make this one my only one. They must have a great manger because no matter when I go, everyone rocks! I have super complicated drinks, and it always tastes as if I had made it myself. One time I ordered a hot carmel macciato but as I drove away and was already a few miles away the cup said "decaf", why!?!?!?
