Cute and bright cafe with equally cheery staff. I got a large cold brew, and it was excellent. I paid a little under $6, and I felt it was underpriced given how solidly executed it was. The bathrooms are all super clean. They're more reminicient of office building bathrooms than cute cafe bathrooms. They're also host comedy shows! But I think never during business hours. Highly recommend

Bad Coffee is so good! My family and I came here last Saturday for our morning coffee and had such a great experience. The entrance is tucked away on Ravenswoods, but the sign out front makes it easy to spot. It's an industrial style coffee shop with pretty murals on the wall. There's even a stage for live music! I loved seeing so many dogs (and babies) hanging out inside. Despite being busy, we were able to place our order quickly and the gal woking was so sweet. She gave me two pup cups, one for my dog and one for the kiddo! Both loved it. I ordered a cookie butter latte and it ended up being a little too sweet for me, so next time I would ask for it half sweetened. My husband got the mocha and it was PERFECT. I can't wait to try more from the menu - we are so happy to have found bad coffee!

    Busy place.

This new spot has piqued my interest since I learned it opened in the Ravenswood industrial corridor. I stopped in last week to check it out. The place was *packed*. They have about ten tables and they were all in use. One was clearly meant as either a communal or large party table because it seats about 8, and it was nearly full. There was a like of six or so folks in front of me when I got there, but I was really surprised that it took only about 20 minutes for me to get in and out. The woman taking the order may not be great at listening... I asked for a breve chai, hot, and she asked me if "regular" milk was ok and then if it was hot or iced. So that could use improvement. I have gotten the feeling at several places recently that they're super concerned with being fast or rushing through an order, and I'd much rather they take their time to actually listen and understand and, if you need me to pause before ordering additional drinks, ask me to wait/say "ok let me get that added" or something instead of just being silent. They have some food too, but I was just here for drinks. Although my experience here was lackluster, I can't say I wouldn't return, because they clearly have some sort of music or other entertainment here on occasion. They had an actual velvet rope outside the place and there's a small dias where a performer can do their thing. So I'm curious about what else happens here, and who knows, maybe if I visit again I'd have a better experience. Although the entrance faces an alley, I'm not sure it's an operational one so pay attention where you're going. If it's not an alley in use as an alley, it'd be cool if they put some tables out here. Parking is practically non-existent; there's a few spaces down the block, possibly.

Located in Ravenswood, it was a stop along the Ravenswood ArtWalk. I had a Brown Sugar Latte- rich and sweet. The staff were very friendly and inviting. There were artists set up in the cafe, so I am not sure how it is set up normally, but there were tables inside and outside. They have a stage for events- music and comedy. I would definitely be back when in the area.

Bad coffee is a great neighborhood coffee shop! They have a variety of syrups and coffee offerings. Their toast is an amazing addition to any breakfast or lunch run here and you cannot go wrong with any of the flavor options. If you're here on Sundays, catch the live music which sets the mood for your visit. The vibe is great with a mural celebrating the area. Every staff member has been very kind and helpful if we needed help or recommendations.

Cozy coffee shop tucked in Ravenswood was SO good! Absolutely loved the pistachio matcha latte! Would totally come back!

was recommend this place after ranting to a friend that coffee places no longer had good cold brew. Bad Coffee definitely has a good cold brew and a 32oz option? yes. The barista George was super nice (only found out his name was george because i ordered his drink) service was great, super quick and friendly. The fact that this place doubles as a venue is super speak easy and i love it. the ambiance was also a win. i couldn't imagine myself working from here, but i could imagine myself ordering their 32oz cold brew multiple times a week. (pictured is a 16oz Iced Salted caramel latte and a 26oz George Cold Brew)

I came here to work on a Friday morning and it was pretty cozy and it was nice that they had free wifi. They have a good handful of chairs and couch like chairs, plus it's dog friendly as well. Service was great but the coffee and toast were just ok for me. The coffee was a bit weak and the toast had fresh ingredients but just too toasted and thick for my taste. I think if it was toasted less, it would've been easier to eat and not really rubbed against the roof of my mouth.

Stumbled upon this newly opened cafe as I walked past their mural on Ravenswood and Burteau. The entrance is tucked away in the alley and the cafe is much larger than I anticipated. Unlike their name, I found the coffee to be great. I got the pumpkin cold brew which was wonderful- not that sweet and the best afternoon pick me up. Service was very friendly and there's plenty of seating for studying or working.

Avocado toast and the other is the berry goat cheese spread. Delicious!

Very cool hip place off the beaten path. Saw them on Instagram and decided to check it out this morning. The place is very popular. They have the yummiest and prettiest toasts. We had the avocado toast and the goat cheese, berry and granola one. Both were delicious. Coffee was great too. Highly recommend.

A plastic cup with a light-colored iced drink, a small container of fruit and granola, and a pizza slice in a cardboard box are on a dark table.

Before I even ordered I was astonished by the warmness of the coffee shop. So calm and cozy with cute aesthetic vibes. I ordered an iced vanilla pistachio oatmilk latte with pistachio cold foam and it was life changing. One of the best lattes I've ever had. In addition o had the Avocado Affair and the yogurt parfait which both hit the spot. The toast was so thick, toasted to perfection with slices of fresh avocado topped with feta, tomatoes and balsamic glaze, a party in my mouth. I finished with the delicious, and very reasonable, yogurt parfait, topped with fresh strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, honey, chia seeds and granola. FANTASTIC. Will definitley be back!

Awesome coffee shop! Love the ambiance, service is great. Last week I tried an iced dulce de leche and it wasn't too sweet. Today I got the coffee flight which was so good- my surprise favorite was the blueberry pie latte they recommended. Definitely coming back for an iced flight next.

    Cappuccino and Cold Brew

The food is delicious and made with so much love. The service is 11/10 good also full of love. THE AMBIANCE IS LOVELY! So many cozy spots and events to attend during the week and weekend. Check this place out NOW!

The shop is sparsely decorated but seems to be a real staple in the community, which felt special to visit as an outsider. My friend and I both ordered egg and goat cheese bagel sandwiches. I ordered an iced lavender matcha and my friend ordered a cappuccino. The sandwiches were made with boiled eggs, which felt extremely odd. The egg type was not clarified on the menu, but I feel like for a breakfast sandwich to include a boiled egg instead of a traditional fried or scrambled egg, that should be disclosed to customers with some sort of expectations. My friend said the cappuccino was "just like every other cappuccino I've ever had." The lavender matcha really just tasted like a regular matcha. It was good but not much lavender flavor! Our food also took a bit to come out, despite the coffee shop being empty (only one other person already dining when we came in) and what we ordered. It looked like there were only two workers. I personally wouldn't visit Sipping Turtle Cafe again, unfortunately. There are a lot of other great options around that satisfy me more.

We ordered an empanada, a churro donut, almojabana, and the pan de bono. I'm vegetarian so I was very happy to see such a wide number of options for me! The churro donut was delicious and cinnamony - if you like sweet breakfasts, definitely get this! I really enjoyed the almojabana and the pan de bono. I liked the pan de bono so much, I even took a picture of the crumb to share with my mother, who is Colombian! I have had their Lox English Muffin a couple of times, and if you love Lox, it's GREAT. Really good balance of cream cheese/veggie/lox ratio.. though Lox is always so overpowering so it's most of what you're going to taste. If you are a quiche person, PLEASE try theirs. The creativity in their rotating flavors, and their perfect crust, are a must-try. It's soooo well done.
