Stumbled upon this cafe after a day of thrifting and it is so adorable and cozy inside! The walls are covered in art and little touches that show the owner really cares about this place. We got the chilaquiles breakfast burrito and the green salsa that comes with it is a MUST! Absolutely delicious!!! We also got the homemade cheddar butter biscuit and it was fluffy and so cheesy! Would be delicious toasted! I got the iced horchata latte and it was covered in cinnamon and very tasty. I have been a customer at this coffee shop for many years, but I think it's time for me to stop coming here. First, I want to say that the cashiers are always friendly. Unfortunately, the food quality has gotten worse with every visit. I usually order the lox bagel, but it is definitely not worth $15. It doesn't taste very good, comes with only one slice of smoked salmon, and has too much onion. The coffee is okay. On my last visit, I ordered the avocado toast. It looked far from appetizing. It was served as two slices of toast with cubed avocado and a sauce on top that ruined the taste. It seems like the cooks are not putting much effort into preparing the food. On top of that, every time I have eaten there, the tables have been very sticky. I would rather spend my money at places that provide better food and a better dining experience. read more

The staff here is useless. They treat their customers as if they don't exist. If you ask them a question, they'll just walk away. This has happened to me twice in the past month. The coffee is average and way overpriced. read more

I tried giving this place so many tries and every single time i am disappointed even more than the last. From ordering an iced americano and hearing the barista say "does he realize he's just drinking watered down coffee? it isn't even coffee it's dirt water" to having them literally roll their eyes when i try to order a black coffee. just black. no modifications. the food is okay, it's not the best, but i won't be going back knowing their baristas are so rude and right in front of the customers too. Probably just went on a bad day but their espresso machine was down so I couldn't order the drink I wanted. We went with a matcha and we would recommend visitors request extra scoops of matcha in theirs because otherwise it's just super milky. Cute corner spot with a nice patio area. read more

Great coffee spot in Irving Park! Went for a visit after pickleball and they had a great variety of drinks, food, and even merch! The shop is small but they make the vibes really homey. Also, they have seating outside for sunny days. I got the horchata latte and it was really good! We sat down and talked too so great spot to talk and yap. But the drink was so good I finished it before we got done talking! Service was great too and the baristas were very polite and answered my questions especially as this was my first visit. 5/5 we'll visit again soon! read more

Came here for something sweet and found exactly that! I got to try their seasonal Strawberry Passionfruit refresher and was not disappointed. Perfect blend of both their sweetness. Cafe Urbano is such a cozy little spot in Irving Park! I got the chilaquiles with a side of breakfast potatoes, and everything tasted super fresh and flavorful. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and the avocado and crema on top tied everything together nicely. My only small gripe was that the tortilla chips got a bit soggy from the sauce -- I wish they stayed a little crunchier for that extra texture. Cool spot tucked into the neighborhood definitely worth checking out. I stopped in and grabbed the Maxwell burrito, a red eye coffee, and one of their donuts, and all three hit the spot in their own way. The burrito was hearty and flavorful, with that perfect mix of chorizo and peppers that gave it a little kick without overpowering everything else. Great portion size too filling but not overly heavy. The red eye coffee was smooth and strong, just what I needed to jumpstart the day. I appreciated that it wasn't bitter or burnt like some places can get with stronger brews. I used to live by here but it's been a few years since my last visit. There's free wifi but no free parking on Elston! Based on my interaction and watching interactions with other customers, the barista that day seemed uninterested in helping the customer decide what to order. They have a variety of drinks, food items, and carry Filipino baked goodies from Umaga bakery. I had a chai latte while my husband had the horchata latte. I also got the nutella panini for my daughter. I appreciate that they had games, crayons, and coloring books that we could use while we were there. read more

They have an array of items, including vegan options, donuts and pastries, and of course, coffee. I got a small iced Horchata latte. It is super good! It's not too sweet and carries that or horchata flavor that I love. The customer service is great, the barista Jose to engage with me even though he was kind of busy. The less good: Coffee in a paper cup for a to-stay order, donut in a bag (come on). No mugs or plates? My pet peeve: No cream or milk by the coffee fixins, meaning you have to ask for it. Always a hassle. Spanish house music wouldn't be my choice for relaxing morning tunes. Not everything has to be Seals & Crofts, but... Exceptionally good cappuccino, and the paninis are really good. I'm particularly partial to the chorizo breakfast burrito. There's not a ton of seating, but it's a nice place and there's usually a few seats open. In the summertime, the outdoor seating is really nice. Looking for a local coffee shop to meet some friends and this one popped up on my maps app. It was only a little walk from where we we're staying so we gave it a go. Nice location, comfortable atmosphere, fresh pastries, smooth coffee and a good bfast/lunch menu. We had the bfast burrito to split and a couple lattes, which were fresh and enjoyable. The only downside was the price tag hit $30, which is a bit steep for a daily visit, but certainly reasonable for a little holiday brunch. Overall, staff was friendly, location welcoming and offerings well done. Definitely worth a visit if you're nearby. read more

One of my favorite local neighborhood spots! Fun and unique indoor space, and tables and chairs outside as well. Casual spot where you order and pick up at the counter. Wait can be on the longer side - I recommend ordering a head of time. I don't mind the wait, as the food is made fresh and great quality and very large servings. My favorite is the AM Panini and the Breakfast Burrito. They also have a lunch menu that I have yet to try, but hope to soon. Coffee is also excellent with fun add ins. This is a great local business with friendly staff and customers. If you find yourself in the area be sure to stop in. &&& most importantly... they are dog friendly and are happy to give out "pup-cups" upon request. Hands down one of my favorite cafes in the city. I don't go out to get coffee too often, but when I do this is my spot to stop. My favorite drinks were the Abuelita and the Horchata lattes, but just yesterday I finally tried the Chagaccino and omg have I been missing out! I was always on the fence about it because I saw mushroom but Hannah the barista told me to just go for it and it was so much tastier than I could've imagined. I got mine with a shot of espresso and oat milk. There's no hint of weird mushroom taste (which is what I was initially afraid of), just a hint of chocolate and cinnamon with light sweetness from the Monk fruit sweetener. Plus it has some health benefits?! I'm in. I officially have a new favorite drink! Also, if you haven't tried their food I'd highly recommend grabbing some with your drink. I've only had a few things from here but everything I've tried has been phenomenal. Yesterday my boyfriend and I stepped out of the box from our usual and got the Nutella and Banana Panini and the Turkey Pesto Wrap. Both delicious and just more items to add to the list of things we love to eat here.
