The service here is usually good ( the owner is there all the time) they do have people pretty much all the time and the menu is somewhat broad; we've been here about 3 times but honestly the food is SO greasy it doesn't feel even safe to try to eat it. That's the reason we stopped going. Not sure if the pit too much oil on grills or what but honestly it should change so we ( and potentially more people) could come more often. read more

On 8-1-26 around 8 pm I finally decided to try Philly Bros on Pulaski but was completely disappointed If I could put less than 1 star I would, When I walked in the place smelled like wet sheetpans, $55 for 2 cheese fries 2 sodas 1 Philly & 1 cheeseburger wouldn't have been bad if the food was at least ok, The Philly & cheese fries were extremely salty, The burger was ordered with cheese bacon lettuce & tomato only BUT it came out with everything on it and the wrong cheese, I gave it back to be fixed and the cook took off the onion and tried to give it back, I gave it back explaining this is not what I ordered, aside from the burger still smelling like onion it had white cheese which should have been yellow American, when I asked what kind of cheese it was, he tells me it's Pepperjack and that it was better than American, I told him I don't eat Pepperjack and he was clearly upset that I insisted on having the American cheese that I ordered which is stated in the menu, the new burger came back extra greasy with burnt buns and rubber bacon I will never go back read more

Since we were such fans of Manai Thai, we did not know what to expect of the restaurant that would be in its place. We had been looking for Philly steaks in the area and realized that this location offered them. The location is clean, which is a huge plus and the food is very good. The only suggestion I would make is that the sandwiches come with at least a portion of fries however when we're talking about the fries, you get a lot for your Buck huge basket of savory, sweet potato sticks or garlic, buttery Parmesan fries, which were very crispy and very tasty. We tried the original Philly steak and it was delicious. Nothing was too soggy, meat was cooked just right and for those of you who like steak sauce on your Phillies, they do not have it at this restaurant. We ordered delivery from Philly Bros a few nights ago and even though we didn't eat it right there in the restaurant everything was amazing. The gyro was really tasty and nowhere near too fatty or greasy, it was just right. The cheese curds and fries as sides were really good although the fries are better in person I'd bet, I don't hold delivery times against a place if their fries aren't perfect on arrival. I had the wings which were really tasty and served with a ton of buffalo sauce, but next time I'm going to get the non breaded ones as i can tell the place knows what they're doing. Visiting from out of state, and this was one of the most uncomfortable dining experiences I've had. The lobby was unbearably hot, to the point that I couldn't even sit down and eat. I understand it's summer in Chicago, but there's no excuse for a restaurant to feel this uncomfortable indoors. It was no surprise that the lobby was nearly empty. I was browsing places to eat not too far from work and Philly Bros came up, and I'm a sucker for a good cheese steak. I knew the area, and like giving new places a chance. It's a big place on the corner with a pretty extensive menu, but I was in a cheesesteak mood. I ordered their large original cheese steak with peppers and onions, and I also had an order of onion rings. There was so much food that it gave me lunch and dinner! So the cheese steak, it was legit! Huge sandwich the cheese sauce was on point and it was loaded with meat and extremely tasty. The onion rings were extra crispy and you got a lot in the order. The guy who was at the register answered questions and the food came out quick and hot. It was not the cheapest meal though. For those two items and a bottle of Dr Pepper it was $25. I know things have been going up in price, but that's a lot for one person. Not sure how often I could justify that. Still a really good sandwich. read more

I JUST left and decided to leave a review. The staff were all SO nice, the restaurant is very clean and the food is delicious! The portions are pretty big (I got a 9'' sandwich and fries) and I could have easily split my sandwich (I forced myself to eat it all because of how good it tasted, haha) but I could not eat all the fries. That single potion is 100% made to share. I had my 2 year old with me, and she was playfully loud. The people working there were so kind and didn't seem to mind in the slightest. There is a really good amount of seating, which is always nice. Also, as a female, it was such a pleasure that they had a very clean bathroom with a changing table.
