I got the M.O.B. sandwich - hot capicola, volpi genoa salami, hard salami, mortadela, provolone, giardiniera It was a tasty, clean sandwich. Perfectly layered meats. Needs more veggies. The bread was fine; it wasn't dry but didn't impress either. Cashier was very nice and helpful. There's a few seats but it's really a carryout spot. Simple, easy go-to lunch spot.

I finally made it this sandwich shop. I'm very picky when it comes down to sandwiches and trust me you will not be disappointed. The sandwiches are freshly made, there is the perfect amount of seasoning. The service is great. I will definitely be going back.

So excited this Italian sub and coffee spot is here in Albany Park! The tuna was delicious and my very picky kids finished every bite. We also had 2 of their 12" subs and yhey were both huge and delicious. Soft chewy bread, a SanPeligrino and Iced coffee rounded out the meal. Nino the proprietor was friendly and positive. If you haven't given it a shot yet I highly recommend for coffee and lunch!

This place is a great local addition! Friendly service and a small but welcoming interior. I ordered a Proscuitto sub and snagged a Sanpellegrino to boot. They sliced the meat in front of me and crafted the sub pretty quickly. Significantly better quality than any other sandwich options around.

I'm new to the area and was really crazing a good sub sandwich. When I walked in the tables were full so I took that as a great sign, I was taking my sando to go, so no big deal. Place was clean and orderly, small spot. Quick order at the walk up counter, got a 9" turkey and hard salami sub with all the fixings, a coke and a some chips. $17 and change and worth every penny. Bread was perfect blend of soft but still had chew, lunchmeat was very fresh and veggies crisp. The mayo and seasonings really took it to the next level! I'll definitely be back often! read more

Wow! I've been wanting to try this place for 2 weeks, since I heard about it. I can't believe they don't have a line down the block. Every bit as good as D'Amatos on Grand. I ordered the 12" inch Mob and it did not disappoint. My only complaint is this, I'm a Cop and I hate seeing anti Law Enforcement signs, I wish they'd rethink posting the anti Law Enforcement sign. I found this place during the Albany Park taste of flavors. We went back for lunch & loved it. We decided to order the sandwiches for our block party. They were great! They cut the sandwiches into individual portions & wrapped them each. Very fresh, everyone loved them. This is definitely my go to Sub sandwich place. Good prices and very friendly staff. read more

I just had it today earlier in the day before the thunderstorm came again. I didn't want to drive all the way to west town or more towards the south side for Italian sandwiches and so I looked up the northside and found this gem and I ordered two sandwiches, I got the MOB and the prosciutto sandwiches and OMG I won't be driving far no more towards the south side I'll stay here near the northside right on montrose and kedzie for there amazing Italian subs !! Just got a fan now . I recommend it in a perfect nice multi- cultured neighborhood full of many different foods around this neighborhood amazing gems here . Truly delicious Italian subs and paninis. Honestly, this little spot could compete with any of the well known Italian deli's like D'amato and Bari, etc! Very fresh, crisp veggies and great meats and cheeses, great bread. I do wish they had a couple side dishes other than chips. Friendly service. Clean but decor is kinda funny. Excellent sandwich, delivered in a shockingly fast time. I got the basic Italian sub, as is, no substitutions, or additions, other than hot giardiniera. Everything was fresh and well balanced, and although it wasn't reinventing anything, it was one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. I'll definitely order again. Probably one of the best Turkey subs I've had in a while. They put roasted red peppers on it which was a nice touch. Fresh lettuce and tomatoes. I loved the bread. Crunchy but not hard. Looking for a good sub in the neighborhood has been impossible...until now. I needed subs for a family party and I thought for sure I was going to have drive out to Rex's on Harlem or way down to Bari on grand. Those places are always going to be great when I'm in the area...but Sotto is going to be my go-to now. From the bread to the ingredients...these subs had great spirit and a spunky plot!! I am so happy I found this place. We live right around the block and I love a fresh Italian sub. This place did not disappoint. The sandwhich was made fresh to order. The people are super nice and attentive. It's a really small space with a couple tables so most likely a take out spot unless you get lucky. Love, love, love this place! My Roast Beef sandwich was so good I ate it before I thought to take a pic for this review. I'm so happy to have a classic Italian deli sub shop in the neighborhood. They nailed it, the meat, cheese, bread, veggies are all top quality and fresh and the hand prep every sandwich with the classic condiment combo to order. Cute little store front with super nice owners. This is the type of local place the makes city living great. Stop by and give it a try, you'll love it. Since several of the longtime baristas left, the café has gone noticeably downhill. I don't blame them for leaving--it's common to see a single barista taking orders, preparing drinks, and making food all at once. As a result, wait times have increased significantly, especially if you order food, so be prepared to wait. My first major concern was with food safety. I watched a barista prepare my bagel directly on a countertop he had just wiped with a brown, soaked rag that had been dipped in murky, soapy water. The counter was still visibly wet when he placed my bagel on it. I politely asked if he could remake it, and he became visibly frustrated before tossing the replacement bagel toward me. Their rewards program is also unnecessarily confusing. On one visit, a barista refused to honor my free pastry reward. After trying to explain it, I eventually gave up and asked for a refund. I was quickly dismissed and told I'd have to wait several days because there wasn't a manager on site who could process it. The customer service has declined considerably, and the food has always been overpriced for the quality. If you're looking for great coffee in the area, I'd recommend Avondale Coffee Club instead. The coffee is consistently excellent, and the baristas are always friendly and welcoming.

For two people, including a tip, the total came out to $34. This is amazing for the area where many places can easily run you $60 or more for food alone. Overall, I hope this place sticks around. If they continue making fresh food and keep their prices fair, I think they have a great chance of succeeding. We already made plans to come back.
