I have been coming to Brothers for breakfast once a week for a little over a year now. This is a fantastic family owned/operated business that really makes you feel at home. Don't let the classic diner interior fool you, it's consistently some of the best service in Chicago! Beyond that, the food is fantastic. I typically stick with a classic combo breakfast, but every once in a while, I am compressed to try one of their amazing specials. Which brings me to why I am writing this review... my favorite breakfast of all times is chilaquiles. I walked in this morning to find that the special is Birria Chilaquiles. PLEASE come here and order them, so they can stay on the menu permanently! P.S. bring cash for your servers! read more

I was just there this morning to support my local small business community. My server was so friendly and kind. Business may be a little slower because of ICE activity in nearby neighborhoods. I absolutely love a cute breakfast spot with a diner ambiance, plus a huge menu and just overall incredible food. I can't stop ordering the Basil Skillet and their Banana Bread French Toast. Nice little diner to come to for breakfast but a little on the overpriced end. But considering the economy nowadays, what isn't overpriced?! Went with the hubby one morning after dropping off the kiddos for school. Hubby got the Fiesta Omelette and I got the combination plate. Hubby got some soup and a pop, and I had a cup of coffee. Total with tip was about $60. Food was really good and fresh, so no complaints from me. It's a neighborhood diner so it's not really busy and the service was fast and friendly. I was craving a hearty breakfast to wrap up my Chicago Marathon celebration weekend and happened to stumble upon this spot on my way to the train. The service stood out right away--the hostess noticed me walking up and held the door open, which isn't something you typically expect from a small neighborhood diner. The menu had plenty of tempting options, but the Nutella Style Pancakes felt like the perfect celebratory choice--and they absolutely delivered in both flavor and presentation. Even with about eight other patrons dining, service was quick, friendly, and attentive. The staff congratulated me on finishing the marathon, which was a thoughtful touch, and once again held the door for me as I left. We were visiting Chicago for a friends birthday and decided to try this restaurant since we were staying in the Airbnb located above it. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The chicken served with the chicken and waffles appeared to have been previously frozen, the exposed white meat of the chicken was brown. The panini was also subpar--dry and overcooked, with an extremely thin, pale tomato that looked frozen and thawed. Even the cheese was not melted, which is unusual for a grilled panini. Considering the quality, the food was overpriced. We genuinely had better food at a Chicago Cubs game. Additionally, although we were promised a dining discount as Airbnb guests, the restaurant refused to honor it. While the space itself is somewhat charming, the food quality does not match the price point. read more

I am obsessed with this place. My family and I found it like 2 weeks ago and have already been 3 times!! The staff there is amazing. They are so lovely. My family stopped here for lunch today because it was close to ClimbZone, which my 4-year-old daughter wanted to visit for her birthday. Our waitress overheard us talking and realized it was our little gal's birthday, and within a minute she brought out a bowl of ice cream topped with a candle. The whole restaurant joined in singing Happy Birthday to her. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and we're incredibly grateful to everyone there for making our daughter feel extra special on her big day. read more

Passed this place up several times until it caught our attention last night. We thought we needed to try it and we did today for breakfast. Hands down perfectly executed breakfast! It's a cute place, clean all around, including the rest rooms. Friendly staff and fabulous service. We had the sweet apple French toast . French toast with apple cinnamon and a light not too sweet caramel sauce that complimented the dish. Topped with whipped cream too. Coffee is Julius Meinl and AMAZING. I can drink that coffee black without anything. Delicious. I also had a latter that was beautifully made and delicious. Cajun scramble with andouille sausage and veggies. Creamy, perfect cheese ratio, perfect sausage to veggie and egg ratio. Those scrambles were fluffy!!! The place - a neighborhood joint. No frills. Solid service. Seats maybe 25-30. We walked 2 blocks on a day when it was 5 degrees, and boy did it do a good job of warming us up. The taste - something for everyone, and sizable portions. We've ordered several omelettes, tried the pumpkin pancakes, and most recently we got a Benedict and a tuna sandwich. We usually have leftovers and really enjoy digging into them again. My partner also orders salads from here for lunch often and they last two meals. My face - smiling to have found such a great brunch place a 5 minute walk from our place. We've been probably a dozen times. Bill for two, usually with coffee and tomato juice comes to between $45 and $65 bucks (with tip). Keep in mind though, you'll usually get another meal or partial meal out of it. Enjoy! read more

Very cozy restaurant. Our waitress was so nice and attentive. The food came out really fast. They had a lot of options and I was able to find healthy options. I've walked by this restaurant hundreds of times, but always when it was closed. However, after a hellatious Lyft ride, I cut it short and walked into this cozy spot. I was craving a BLT and to say I was satisfied would be an understatement. It was big on size and taste, and I had plenty left for a generous lunch the next day.
