It's ironic that the restaurant is named Brothers, because they make you feel like family! I absolutely love a cute breakfast spot with a diner ambiance, plus a huge menu and just overall incredible food. I can't stop ordering the Basil Skillet and their Banana Bread French Toast. I'll be back to this spot over and over again to be sure! It never misses and the value and quality is top tier. read more

I was just there this morning to support my local small business community. My server was so friendly and kind. Business may be a little slower because of ICE activity in nearby neighborhoods. I am obsessed with this place. My family and I found it like 2 weeks ago and have already been 3 times!! The staff there is amazing. They are so lovely. The restaurant is very homey and they decorated for Mother's Day which was so cute. They have the best gluten free pancakes I've ever tasted and the coffee is actually so addicting and delicious! Nice little diner to come to for breakfast but a little on the overpriced end. But considering the economy nowadays, what isn't overpriced?! Went with the hubby one morning after dropping off the kiddos for school. Hubby got the Fiesta Omelette and I got the combination plate. Hubby got some soup and a pop, and I had a cup of coffee. Total with tip was about $60. Food was really good and fresh, so no complaints from me. It's a neighborhood diner so it's not really busy and the service was fast and friendly. They had a nice variety on the menu and not just breakfast items, but lunch and dinner as well. Small and quaint place but big enough to fit parties of 4-5 people comfortably. read more

I was craving a hearty breakfast to wrap up my Chicago Marathon celebration weekend and happened to stumble upon this spot on my way to the train. The service stood out right away--the hostess noticed me walking up and held the door open, which isn't something you typically expect from a small neighborhood diner. The menu had plenty of tempting options, but the Nutella Style Pancakes felt like the perfect celebratory choice--and they absolutely delivered in both flavor and presentation. We were visiting Chicago for a friends birthday and decided to try this restaurant since we were staying in the Airbnb located above it. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The chicken served with the chicken and waffles appeared to have been previously frozen, the exposed white meat of the chicken was brown. The panini was also subpar--dry and overcooked, with an extremely thin, pale tomato that looked frozen and thawed. Even the cheese was not melted, which is unusual for a grilled panini. Considering the quality, the food was overpriced. We genuinely had better food at a Chicago Cubs game. Additionally, although we were promised a dining discount as Airbnb guests, the restaurant refused to honor it. While the space itself is somewhat charming, the food quality does not match the price point. read more

Super casual diner. Big menu. Very friendly service! The food is hit or miss. Something's are good but when it isn't it really isn't. Kinda pricey for the quality. I wouldn't go out of my way for it but if you're nearby give it a try! Street parking can be hard certain times of day. read more

My family stopped here for lunch today because it was close to ClimbZone, which my 4-year-old daughter wanted to visit for her birthday. Our waitress overheard us talking and realized it was our little gal's birthday, and within a minute she brought out a bowl of ice cream topped with a candle. The whole restaurant joined in singing Happy Birthday to her. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and we're incredibly grateful to everyone there for making our daughter feel extra special on her big day. read more

Passed this place up several times until it caught our attention last night. We thought we needed to try it and we did today for breakfast. Hands down perfectly executed breakfast! It's a cute place, clean all around, including the rest rooms. Friendly staff and fabulous service. We had the sweet apple French toast . French toast with apple cinnamon and a light not too sweet caramel sauce that complimented the dish. Topped with whipped cream too. Coffee is Julius Meinl and AMAZING. I can drink that coffee black without anything. Delicious. I also had a latter that was beautifully made and delicious. Cajun scramble with andouille sausage and veggies. Creamy, perfect cheese ratio, perfect sausage to veggie and egg ratio. Those scrambles were fluffy!!! I will definitely, most definitely be back here and it will be my new neighborhood breakfast place from here on in! Service was wonderful and sweet staff. read more

The place - a neighborhood joint. No frills. Solid service. Seats maybe 25-30. We walked 2 blocks on a day when it was 5 degrees, and boy did it do a good job of warming us up. The taste - something for everyone, and sizable portions. We've ordered several omelettes, tried the pumpkin pancakes, and most recently we got a Benedict and a tuna sandwich. We usually have leftovers and really enjoy digging into them again. My partner also orders salads from here for lunch often and they last two meals. My face - smiling to have found such a great brunch place a 5 minute walk from our place. We've been probably a dozen times. Bill for two, usually with coffee and tomato juice comes to between $45 and $65 bucks (with tip). Keep in mind though, you'll usually get another meal or partial meal out of it. Enjoy! read more

This was one of the best breakfasts I've had recently. The hash browns didn't need additional seasoning and the sausages were excellent. The pancakes smelled like actual cake when I opened the container. It was heaven! I took away a star because the bacon could've been cooked longer and the hot chocolate was watered down. Very cozy restaurant. Our waitress was so nice and attentive. The food came out really fast. They had a lot of options and I was able to find healthy options. I've walked by this restaurant hundreds of times, but always when it was closed. However, after a hellatious Lyft ride, I cut it short and walked into this cozy spot. I was craving a BLT and to say I was satisfied would be an understatement. It was big on size and taste, and I had plenty left for a generous lunch the next day. My server was very friendly and attentive as was the chef who recommended the chicken salad club for the next time I stop by. Although delivery is available, I'll walk the few blocks in sub-zero weather for the warm ambiance. Like the food, it's well worth it. read more

I came in with my partner for lunch on a Thursday. I got the grilled chicken sandwich and fries and she got the huevos rancheros. I got a caramel cappuccino and she got a hot chocolate as well. Everything was so delicious and our server was lovely! Large portions and everything was prepared well and flavorful. It's cozy inside with both booths and tables. It's definitely a family place - just not one we had gotten around to visiting. On this visit I had the protein power scramble and paired it with their absolutely delicious biscuits and home fries. My daughter had a cinnamon swirl pancake that she enjoyed, but it was took big too finish. Not a problem as she demolished it the next morning. Definitely will be back and we won't 20 years this next time!

Our waitress was patient with us as we waited for our full party to arrive. They have milk substitutes so I got a caramel latte. It was perfectly made. Not too sweet with a good coffee flavor. We were surprised by our portions. They were all very large. I got the south of the border skillet with blueberry pancakes. The eggs were perfectly over medium, the ingredients tasted fresh. I expected the blueberries to be cooked inside the pancakes but they were just a few on top. The pancakes are sweet and tasty without syrup.

The menu is a normal breakfast menu with the focal point being pancakes. I settled on getting a traditional stack which was pretty huge. The taste of the pancakes reminded me of a funnel cake. My brunch companion got the seasonal flavor pancake which was the orange marmalade. This stack was little excessive with the amount of whip cream and orange marmalade on the top, so I don't recommend that. I enjoyed brunch overall, but I would probably advise to stick with the traditional stack if you like more of a traditional breakfast. My preference is to keep it simple when it comes to breakfast.
