I visit Starbucks frequently and spend well over $100 a week here, so I'm not someone who complains lightly. Unfortunately, I've had repeated issues at this location with drinks being made incorrectly and staff responding in a dismissive way when the mistake is politely pointed out. Mistakes happen in any coffee shop. That's understandable. The problem is how the situation is handled afterward. Recently, I ordered my usual tall hot blonde Americano, and my friend ordered an Americano with cream. We were given two Americanos with cream. I didn't realize the mistake until I had already driven away and made it back to work, which meant I had to drive all the way back to the store to fix a drink I had already paid for. When I calmly told the barista that one of the drinks wasn't supposed to have cream, she immediately cut me off and insisted there wasn't any in it. You could clearly see the lighter color on the lid, and when I opened it to show her, she still insisted there was no cream. Only after that did she ask if I wanted it remade. Having to drive back because of a mistake is already inconvenient. Being interrupted and treated as if I'm wrong for pointing it out is frustrating and unnecessary. Not to mention, I had my drink made incorrectly at another Starbucks location an hour and a half prior to me visiting this location, so by the time this happened, I was already frustrated, but, I came in happy and hoping for a better experience than the one I just had. To add, every time I go in there, most of the staff members look like they don't want to be there. Rarely any smiles, and friendly tones are hard to come by. This isn't about a single drink being made wrong -- it's about the pattern of dismissive responses when customers ask for orders to be corrected. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, because basic professionalism and accountability would go a long way toward improving the experience at this location. read more

TERRIBLE!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME. This location is the closest to me yet I will drive 25 minutes out of my way just to avoid it. Today I ordered a banana bread matcha, which I had previously ordered at the Marriott location and LOVED it. However, this matcha is comparable to the most disgusting watered down piece of sewage water JUNK. I can tell they didn't add anything brown sugar flavoring, did not even flavor the cold foam, and did not mix the matcha (large chunks). The drinks are never good, always water downed, packed with ice, not filled to the top, and half assed. The staff also randomly will decide to close the store in the middle of the day based on how they feel so there's that too. Terrible location, terrible service, speed, and drinks. The girl with the red hair and the other short one with reddish hair were so rude. I went in there to grab a drink and I was paying with my card but it had declined due to the fact that my bank account thought it was fraud and so I needed to let my bank know it wasn't. WORST SERVICE EVER!!! The staff had major attitude problem! They talk rude about there customers using the restroom even after they purchased something. They sold me expired Madeleines I came back after realizing. They then fumbled around for another one that isn't expired they were all expired. She still gave it to me and I just left. If I could rate this place a ZERO I would they need new staff the environment is just toxic. I was not the only one they were rude to. Two customers in drive thru they caught attitudes with. The workers are snippy and every other location still gives you a full cup for no ice - especially since I'm paying over $5 for a lemonade. I asked them if they could just put water in the rest since I literally only get the no ice because I've seen on other reviews on how dirty the ice machine is. It's Starbucks... so everything is as normal as you'd expect. The inside is slow. I thought it would be quicker than the car line but I was sadly mistaken. Due to Covid- there is no indoor seating although the sign on the door says they have it. Inside was a mess...boxes stacked up, small paper everywhere, it just needs a good deep clean. I definitely like this Starbucks. It gets bonus points for being the closest to my house. It has a small but bright interior, which to me means it never gets crazy crowded and overwhelming. But what they really get points for in my book are two things: 1. They have a drive Thru! My husband and I hit this up all the time. There aren't a lot of other locations in the city (if any) that offer this convenience and it is great. 2. They have a customer of the week, every week. If you write your name and contact info on your receipt and drop it in the entry box, you could be their customer of the week and receive a free drink! This cool idea takes away from the major corporate feel that Starbucks gives off and makes it feel more like a neighborhood coffee shop where you feel at home. Starbucks are not the same location to location. This is one of my favorites in the area, and several of the baristas have taken the time to get to know me and are friendly enough to remember me and my regular beverage!! The parking can be a little bit of a nightmare, but the drive-thru line is speedy and never much of an issue. The customer service is always kind and efficient, regardless of what time in the day that you go. The employees at this particular location make it a point to work in a quick and efficient manner. I also often bring some residents from my non-profit work here and they never give me a hard time in regards to utilizing the tax-exempt form like some *other* businesses in the area. Also l, it should be noted that the inside of the store is always clean. I also love that the gender-neutral restrooms are also clean and not completely horrifying!! Del&Ken forever. read more

I went here with a friend to "study". I put that in quotation marks, because when you go with a friend you end up chatting instead of actually doing any work. They made our drinks pretty fast. I got a caramel macchiato and a cake pop. Mmm their cake pops are delicious!! I was actually the slow poke at getting in line since I was trying to scratch off the numbers on my gift card to add it to my Starbucks's account, and then add even more funds from my credit card before ordering. I wish the rewards program allowed you to just get points on purchases without having to spend the time to keep adding funds to your account. There wasn't too much seating inside. We sat outside because it was so nice out, but unfortunately there weren't any outlets for me to plug my dying computer into. Unlike in the past, one's name is not always on the order, so when a frothy frappuccino was placed on the counter, we thought it was ours. There was no one else inside the shop. It looked different from what we ordered, but my husband thought the person at the counter misheard the order for the correct frappuccino. It turned out that we'd taken one of their drinks and then of course we bought the man whose frappuccino we'd taken a replacement. Starbucks is my go-to place for comfort drinks. I may be addicted to the Frappuccinos. People in Buffalo seem to prefer Tim Hortons over Starbucks, but I am certainly not one of those people. The drive-thru at this specific location is extremely convenient. The specialty coffee drinks are in a category of their own. I love that they always have seasonal lattes and Frappuccinos. One of my favorite parts of Fall is the Pumpkin Spice Lattes. I've had them at other coffee shops and they are never as good. I also very much look forward to the Christmas drinks. The Peppermint Mocha is my personal favorite. The summer drinks released are also always delicious. The new S'mores Frappuccino was incredible. You can never go wrong with a Caramel Frapp or a White Chocolate Mocha. The employees are always extremely friendly. They all have excellent senses of humor. They're always cracking jokes. I always leave this location in a good mood. They are also very efficient. i've never had to wait super long. They've also never messed up my order, and I've been there a countless number of times. My ONLY complaint about this location is that it's not conveniently located. There are really no Starbucks in Kenmore. I wish they would open one up. I would go there every day. If I want Starbucks, I need to budget 20 minutes of driving to get there and back to my neighborhood. I strongly encourage any frequent customers to download the Starbucks app. You can load balances onto the app and pay with your phone. Starbucks is the place I can reliably go where I don't have to question if they have non-dairy options. They are very adaptable with most of their drinks and I don't feel "fussy" at all when I order. The employees at this particular location always work fast and smoothly. Walking in is usually quite quick so I have never used the drive-thru. Today I especially appreciated an employee was very nice to me about a question I had on my order. Props for having knowledgeable coffee personnel. The physical footprint of this location is on the small side so there isn't much by way of indoor seating, though weather permitting they always have a nice outdoor setup. The parking lot can be awkward since it's cramped but a little patience goes a long way there. read more

The line backs up the parking lot, down on the main road, and blocks people from exiting the parking lot onto the main road. Their dining room is closed, which prevents you from ordering on the app to lessen your wait time. Once you finally make it to the speaker to order, the young man taking my order sounded like I was bothering him with my simple and delicious drink order (hot mocha with almond milk). I got up to the window, he didn't even tell me the total again, just took my card, and handed me the drink. He didn't even thank me for the order or wish me a good day. I get it was busy and there's a staffing shortage, but remember the people buying items from your store are all helping to pay your wages and the least you can do is tell them thank you for stopping by or have a good day. read more

You can tell that the employees are always moving as fast as humanly possible. They always apologize if there is a long wait too which I appreciate. The nonfat iced caramel macchiato is always a great choice. The s'mores frappucino is the most delicious coffee drink I've ever had. The sips of actual hot fudge confirmed my prediction that this drink is more calories than I even want to know. It is well worth the calories though, especially if you are looking for a sweet and icy drink for the summer. The spinach feta wrap is a healthy and delicious breakfast option. I live pretty close to this Starbucks, not close enough to walk to, but close enough to drive to (pretty quickly). The parking lot truly is a nightmare. It is way too small, with cars trying to come in and out in a really tight space. With that said, however, I am EXTREMELY GRATEFUL to have a Starbucks pretty close to me. Therefore, this location is one that I frequent pretty often. Inside, I'd say this particular Starbucks is probably one of the smaller Starbucks in the area. There aren't too many tables in there, and there's not too much room between you and other patrons. The two bathrooms inside are clean, and the baristas are pretty friendly. I would normally come here (on my way to work) to order a dark roast and some variation of their specialty bread. For some reason, they usually are out of dark roast (or just don't have it ready), so they would have to brew a new one for me...requiring me to have to wait. One morning though, I've decided to order on the Starbucks app instead. After opening the app, you'd have to pick the location (Delaware and Kenmore), then select what you want to order. It was very easy, and I was able to pay for my order via the app. Furthermore, the app gave me an estimated time as to when my order would be ready (within 3-7 minutes). When I walked in, my drink was already there waiting for me! If you can, I would highly suggest using this app to help move things along a little bit faster. The only con is that the app sometimes works, and sometimes it doesn't work so well - not sure why. I'm sure the app will improve over time though. read more

I used to go every day before work... Last week, Garret (the 45 yr old dude that lives in his moms basement) aggravated me enough to never go back. Besides his stupid accents he changes from day to day, he acts like he has alligator arms at the drive thru window. He half stuck his arm out to hand me my coffee, and I told him he needs to reach out a lil. He told me "I don't reach". I couldn't believe it. This 45 y/o barista doesn't want to reach a lil to hand a customer his coffee. I also saw him doing it to the girl in front of me in line. I yelled at him a lil bit, drove of and never went back. Okay. So I am a very regular customer at this starbucks location.. to the point where the majority of the workers know my name. I am now no longer a regular to this starbucks. To be told I can't order my drink a certain way because "they aren't allowed to" is a complete lie. I don't know his name but he always uses weird accents and is always slightly rude and has an attitude anytime i order and it's only him.. So today i went to get my normal drink and was told "no" and he wanted to charge me $4 for something i don't want. I enjoy this location, downfall is the parking lot. At times it has been hard for me to find a spot and i end up having to use the Drive-Thru. Yes, this location has a Drive-Thru! some love it im sure, however, i am old school and love the feeling of going in and ordering my drinks. there is almost NEVER a line inside so it's quick and easy for me to come here in my time of need while im at work. The location is about 3-5 mins from my office. I personally enjoy iced chi lattes and iced caramel macchiato's! Some drinks have far too many calories in them for me, i don't like hot drinks anywhere. Anytime i have questions about new drinks the staff here is always helpful, i have not tried any of the food here though so i can;t give an opinion on that area. They do always have a nice selection of glass to-go mugs that i always eye up as i walk buy them before ordering. This Starbucks has the friendliest people working the drive thru! Yes the food and drinks are great but you get a real customer experience when you through the drive thru. They are friendly and patient in the morning. I've even been given positive pep talks before heading to work after having days where I spill my drink at work. These people will set you in the right mood before heading to work. If you're curious what I order, I go for unsweetened shaken passion tea or a mocha light frappuccino. There's something about this location that completely rocks. Maybe myself and the baristas here on just on the same wavelength or something, but I always have a pleasant interaction with them, they make their drinks better than any other location, and they're always stocked with the best coffees and teas. Seriously, I've bought the Passion tea bags here and they made up EXACTLY like the Passion tea they serve. I've also found the Cafe Verona, which I've been looking for for a while.
