Service was excellent and friendly. Coffee not as much Ordered a Pour over and it was meh, tasted like a normal drip coffee. No notes separation, no sweetness, no body, no acidity. Not sure if the barista knew how to make a pour out ver or if anything was weighed in a scale. I was able to stop in while I was in the area running errands, it was my first time at this location. I learned about their secret menu options which are printed on the back of the menu. The secret items are a bunch of delicious and unique seasonal flavored syrups. I tried to salted caramel pumpkin in a coconut milk latte. It was a delicious treat that felt like a dessert because I don't have sweet coffee very often. The space was cute and cozy. There are some tables available for inside seating. read more

Kind and helpful staff and lovely atmosphere to relax and enjoy a book. I would love to see biodegradable cups and a commitment to serving "for here" customers with real cups rather than disposable, however. Lots of patrons in the store were served with needless garbage (which unfortunately is immensely damaging; the plastic bits will be on the planet long after we're all dead). Rather a small place without much in the way of seating, and the few seats were there were taken up by workers with computers, so it seems like those seats are taken up for hours. Get your order to go. The coffee was ok, nothing to rave about. The muffins and baked goods were not labeled at all so you have to ask what they are, which is a detriment to sales. Most odd, was the large stack of five gallon pails in the kitchen work area, the tops of which were being used as a work surface. Not very appetizing or sanitary looking. Stopped into this Overwinter location this morning to switch up my work routine a bit in the hopes that that the change of scenery would inspire some creativity. Go me for making that decision cause it sure did! It's wild how just switching up your environment can open up your perspective and get those creative juices flowing. Anyway, as always, Overwinter staff produced a warm and delicious vanilla oat milk latte for me to enjoy while flying through my task list. But in addition I had a very comfy arm chair to settle into and a nice overhead view of the Elmwood strip as little flecks of snow drifted down. The decor of the front window filled room is really lovely. Not that it needs much with windows like that! But it honestly feels like a persons home, not a coffee shop. Love it! read more

Super cute little cafe that is cozy inside with winter animal pictures hanging on the walls as decorations. They have vegan and gluten free muffins (as well as regular muffins) that I would say was definitely one of the top two muffins I've ever had in my life. Shout out to Blue Eyed Baker because I believe that's where they were from. They do have non dairy milk options but unfortunately it's a 75 cent upcharge. I loved their cozy seating in front of a big window to people watch on Elmwood. There are only a few small tables but if you aren't able to snag one it is still the perfect neighborhood to take your coffee for a walk. Other than the baked goods they did not have any food. Without breakfast sandwiches this may not be a place I go frequently but I do think it is worth checking out! I was so happy to finally get a look at Overwinter's new Elmwood storefront! They are located right across from Lexington Co-op, prime location for Elmwood strolling. Due to Covid, they are currently taking orders at the door and takeout only, but there are a few tables to sit outside. From what I could spy on their interior, it is wonderfully decorated with home-y furniture and a beautiful espresso machine. I had an iced mocha and a friend had an iced chai with coconut milk. The mocha was delicious with dark chocolate notes and the chai had a great spice to it. Definitely a great place to stop at for a coffee before you window shop the Elmwood village! read more

I had heard so much about this coffee shop and finally got to go! They are located right by my favorite smoothie bowl place, Squeeze Juicery, which is also pictured in the photo attached. Because of COVID, they are currently taking orders at the door, but if nice outside there are a few tables out there. $8.25 for a large mocha latte. The latte tastes good, but not amazing. It's a cute cafe with great indoor space but due to covid-19 they do not offer any dine-in. We came in for the first time today excited to visit this new shop! The workers did not offer any suggestions, or any information about what they offer. Instead they just gave us a blank stare as if we were an inconvenience. They had gluten free pastries which is a plus for people who are gluten intolerant. However, it was cross contaminated with gluten filled pastries which makes it extremely risky to consume for those with an actual allergy/gluten intolerance/ celiac disease. This is just something the workers need to be educated on... For the record, I wish this shop the best and hope they succeed. But over charging for to-go coffee is not the way to win a client's heart. read more

Very cute place with such friendly staff. I can't give 5 stars because their milk options are a bit more limited than others. No skim milk and no almond or cashew milk. Just like the downtown location, I love it here! A different look but the same chic and simple vibe the downtown location gives, and of course, the same quality of coffee and service. The nice part about this location is its far more accessible thanks to being placed on the most popular area on the Elmwood Strip.
