This is easily the Starbucks that I frequent the most, and maybe that's why some of the staff here now know me by name and have even made an effort to remember which drinks I'm likely to order. There have been times when the level of customer service that I receive have caused me to drive off with a grin. As often as I order from this place for myself, my family, and all my loved ones, I rarely encounter issues with any of my orders. The rare few times that we encounter issues, the staff are quick to apologize and rectify the mistake and make things right by us. The decor of this Starbucks is a little different from most other Starbucks I have seen. The floor is more setup as open with high table/two high chairs rather than table and armchairs setup I tend to see elsewhere. It gives this Starbucks a slightly different vibe. I suppose this setup works for them, as most of the seats tend to be occupied when I decide to come in instead of using the drive-thru. This location tends to be quite busy on weekend mornings. If you're going to be ordering during their peak hours, I'd suggest sending your order in using the mobile app. If you happen to be stopping by when there's no line and need help deciding on what to get, don't hesitate asking the staff for help. read more

This is the most convenient Starbucks to my house, but unfortunately they almost never make our drink correctly and gave us a venti chocolate cream cold brew. Today we ordered a venti chocolate oat milk shaken espresso. We waited in line for almost 10 minutes and we pulled up to the window to pay and my husband told the cashier that our drink was incorrect, and we said what we had ordered. When we told the cashier again, she very rudely said that they didn't have oat milk. We almost always get oat milk, as we don't like almond milk. She got extremely defensive and told my husband he was being rude - he wasn't. It's exhausting and frustrating when you pay $7 for a drink to be wrong. I didn't like the products at this Starbucks but then I don't like the products at any Starbucks. I didn't consider the staff to be the friendliest and compared to the one on Sheridan that I go to a lot they were actually pretty standoffish. It's Starbucks, for crying out loud! You're going to get exactly what you expect when you come here. And for that, I could give them at least four stars, I suppose. But if you expect more from your coffee shop than a mediocre cup of coffee that may or may not be made the same way twice, then take the three stars and be happy with them. One look at my kitchen and you'd swear I am the biggest Starbucks fan in the world. And I used to be. I have at least 40 Starbucks mugs from around the world (and the US). Most I've collected in person during a visit. Some have come from friends who knew how much I loved Starbucks and wanted to add to my collection. However, I grew tired of never getting the same coffee twice. This could probably have happened at any Starbucks, but it happened at this one because it's the one closest to my house and the one I visit most frequently. And yes, even though they never make me the same cup of coffee twice, I still go here because it's convenient and I'm too lazy to do it myself some mornings. I also used to order a bacon gouda breakfast sandwich nearly every morning (stop judging me), but more often than not, the outside was scalding hot and the inside was still cold, so I stopped that practice as well. I'm pretty sure I'm better off anyway. That thing has a lot of calories! My drink of choice used to be an iced caramel macchiato. But often that drink would not taste the way I thought it should taste -- the way it tasted when I fell in love with it. So I switched to an iced vanilla latte. Really, it's not that different from an iced caramel macchiato, so I'm not too sure why I thought this one would always taste the same. Either it was too sweet or it was barely sweet. Neither one was a good taste for me. So I deduced that by removing the syrup from the equation, they'd stop messing up the drink. I turned to a plain ol' iced latte. I'll be darned if they didn't find a way to mess that up too! Sometimes it was really good. Other times it was really bitter. And I could tell immediately by the color whether or not I'd like it. It's like I was being punked! I was looking for Ashton Kutcher behind every corner, but no! It was just lazy baristas, I guess! I gave up on Starbucks for a while, but then I was on vacation and there was a Starbucks and I decided to try something else: an iced breve latte. I loved it. It was amazing. I went home and ordered this drink from "my" Starbucks, and it was fantastic! Delicious! Perfect! Does it taste this way every single time? No. But when the proportions are off, it's less offensive somehow. I can better tolerate it when it's made wrong, so I continue going. The other day it was so perfect that I considered going back through the drive-thru to thank whomever it was that made my drink. In the end, I decided that was just weird and kept going wherever it was that I was headed. Most of the staff at this Starbucks is pretty good. Every so often they get someone in there who is either really quirky or just BAD, but the last two that started out that way have improved and it's not an issue anymore. They do have one girl who works there now (I won't mention her name to save her from embarrassment) who always sounds so bored when she is working the speaker. In turn, it makes me feel kind of like crap. I miss the days when Leonora was working drive-thru and you could FEEL her exuberance through the speaker! Leonora, please come back! Or the girl from Ukraine. I forget her name, but I loved her too! A good 90-percent of the time I come to this location, it's drive-thru. Occasionally I'll go inside, but in the summer they seem to have a problem with bees. I hate fighting off the dadgum bees! This is a pretty popular location, so I do wish the inside were a little bigger. The tables are often all accounted for, so sometimes I'll go in hoping to have a seat, but will have to leave because there are no tables available. Not all Starbucks are created equal. The closest location to Lockport City & Town, this cafe has a great interior, a lovely porch, a drive thru, and inconsistent service. Poorly trained to handle the chaos that drive-thrus cause, the employees are scattered and over worked. They're all so sweet, but not terribly efficient. I usually go to this Starbucks and use their drive-thru (which is why I never got my check-ins in!) but today I got a chance to actually sit down and work at this branch. This Starbucks is a smaller branch with only about 6-ish tables in store. They have one round table in the corner, which might seat 5-6 people, but all the other tables are for two. The weather was warm today so they had the outdoor tables available with the outdoor umbrellas. There are not a lot of outlets at this branch so you need to get really lucky (if you need to charge something). I don't think this branch is known for their service, unfortunately. I've never had a negative experience here, but I also did not really have any of the baristas particularly friendly or welcoming. Starbucks just came out with a new Frappuccino that is a hot commodity. It's called the tie dye Frappuccino and they were nice enough to give out free samples. I am not a big Frappuccino person because they are very sugary and more like a milkshake. The tie dye sample was yummy and I would give it a try by purchasing one. Been here multiple times since it's the closest to my house(20 min drive). Never had an issue here. Staff is always friendly and the drinks are always made quickly and efficiently. I always order Frappuccinos and always switch it up. If there's a good looking Frappuccino based on the time of year, holidays, etc. I order it. I also order some from the secret menu. This location has an outside patio and a drive thru as well. Renovations not too long ago make it really modern and a great atmosphere. Today I ordered a butterbeer Frappuccino from the secret menu. I showed the barista the ingredients and they made it right away. Tasted great. Really sweet. This one had no coffee in it. Creme Frappuccino based. Starbucks is one of my favorite coffee shops to go to. It's quick, easy, and has a lot of special and different drinks or foods to try. It's a quick bite to eat or drink place that doesn't keep you waiting in a line for long. My sister and i went here today in Amherst, NY on Transit Rd. We went through the drive thru which didn't take long, i'd say about a minute or two. The servers were quick with everyone in front of us and ourselves as well. I got a Pink Drink which is basically the Strawberry Açaí Refresher just with Coconut Milk in it. But i changed up my order to try something different. This is my favorite Starbucks to spend my $ to treat myself. I've never had any issues until I started laying off the lattes and began trying the refreshers. Today was not the first time, but the third time in less than 3 weeks I had issue with my lime refresher drink. Old DRIED up limes should be trashed, not put into my $5.74 drink! I actually used to work at this location about 12 years ago. Standards were high back then, and I don't feel like they are anymore. They are out of things often which is understandable, it's the closest location to Lockport so they are always busy as it is the northernmost location in our area so all of the people are going to go to this one as they are entering Erie county to do shopping or any other errands they have. It's understandable but at the same time I would hope or think that they would see the trend on certain things selling out and order extra. I'm not sure if they still do this, it seems not, but when I worked there if we ran out of something popular we would drive to the store that's just a mile or two south of us and get supplies from them. I'm guessing it's not a thing anymore as when something is out now, it's out for days but then you can get at the other location. If it was something basic like milk, we would just go to the tops as it's in the same parking lot and get it. My big issue with this location is the skimping or order mess ups. We had a LOT more issues than normal in the past 2 years, and while I'm aware there is a pandemic going on, these issues have nothing to do with that, it's just a matter of carelessness. We tend to visit later at night when running errands or my husband is on his way home from work. Lines are usually nonexistent so being too busy isn't a factor either. Poor training? Probably. Nearly every time we go there now we don't get much of the toppings put on the drinks. I know, it sounds incredibly petty but as a former barista they took this kind of thing seriously. Making drinks correctly was a pretty imperative part of the job. They took it so seriously that during training your drinks were even weighed on a scale to be sure that you had the proper liquid to foam ratio which was checked inside the cup and also by weight. So I'm not sure why it's becoming an issue as of late but this kind of thing has been brought to the attention to Starbucks multiple times. They apologize, say it won't happen again, etc. but it does the very next time you go. I have attached two drinks that we got around the holiday of a Chestnut Praline Frappuccino and a Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino. There should be 2 to 3 times the amount of toppings on those drinks. You can see it in all of their advertisements online, on their app while ordering, sometimes even on menu boards. Sometimes they're the correct amount, other times not. We've had an issue quite a bit with them using way too much ice in drinks too but I tend to stick with blended drinks like Frappuccino's so it's not much of an obvious issue. I had recently ordered 2 of their sugar plum cheese danishes, I ordered them from home and my husband picked them up as he was driving past. A cheese danish and a sugar plum cheese danish are different prices. You get charged more for the sugar plum. When he got there they told him they didn't have 2, they only had one, so they obviously have some kind of system ordering issue. They asked if he would like a refund or if they could substitute a regular cheese danish instead. Having no idea that I had to pay more for the sugar plum he accepted it and came home. We paid more for less. Things like that are aggravating as baristas should know full well that they are pricier, and to offer something that is less expensive isn't correct. That pretty much goes for any business. They should have either offered something extra or refunded the difference. Their bathrooms are always spotless and clean. They always have been. As long as they have attentive employees to the bathroom, it's probably the cleanest public bathroom in the WNY area. Most Starbucks around here are actually. If you have to use the restroom and you're out shopping or running errands I would purposefully wait until I was passing a Starbucks to use their facilities and then the bonus of ordering a drink to go. Overall a decent location, you can't sit in there currently, but they did do some renovations right before the pandemic started. I honestly liked the way they had the store set up before. Now it seems more open and cold. Before they had their shelving with their merchandise for sale in front of some seating which offered a little privacy and was nice if you have to sit there like people typically do with a laptop or school work. You don't feel like you're being gawked at. They used to have 4 comfy chairs by the front door that no one uses as well. They've done away with all of that and switched to basic tables and chairs and the ones in front of the bar are raised up which is neat but again, doesn't feel like a cozy coffee shop anymore. It also seems brighter in there too which might just be an illusion but I think it was nicer before. Going Downhill This used to be our Starbucks of choice for years. The staff was friendly and efficient, and our order was made perfectly with few, if any, minor exceptions. Over the past year or so, however, this location has gone through management and staffing changes that have made us move to a different Starbucks (the one further south on Transit). They go through staff so quickly we've been wondering if they're using it as a training store. We rarely saw the same people twice, and many (not all!) of them have been lackluster and unwelcoming. Not to mention the fact that it became a struggle to get our relatively simple order right. We enjoyed coming to this location; we miss the old crew, and wish things were better, but the simple fact is, remodeled or not, we won't be going back to this Starbucks location. The crew at the Eastview Plaza location are so much friendlier, and the manager always seems friendly, polite, and good with his employees. And, they always get our order right! UPDATE: Gone Downhill As this location was recently renovated and we had business nearby, my wife & I figured we'd stop in to see if anything had improved. It didn't. First, the remodeling: Instead of having a comfortable cafe feel, this Starbucks now feels like a cafeteria. They have added a phalanx of high round tables along the spine of the store, blocking access to the counter, causing everyone to have to trudge around the ends to get anywhere. The smaller 2-person square tables have been replaced by smaller round tables, giving those of us who need a little space for our work with even less, not to mention the fact that no one can put two tables together to make room for larger parties, which is now necessary since they have left only one large table in the store. The high tables are so close to the smaller tables that you have to endure other customers looking over you as you attempt to enjoy your latte. Now on to the service. It has not gotten any better. We have a specific-yet-not-ridiculously-demanding order, which the young lady making the drinks failed to adhere to. She attacked the chai pump like a lunatic, barely pressing it halfway down with each hectic stroke, causing us to have to return to the counter after tasting our drinks in order to get two more pumps added to get any semblance of flavor to come through. We also order no foam and no room to get the chai filled to the brim (we aren't wealthy people...we need to get our money's worth with a drink that costs over $5.) She handed us cups that were almost an inch below the brim and appeared put out when we asked (nicely) if she wouldn't mind topping them off. If this was our experience with every Starbucks we wouldn't be so disappointed (actually, we probably wouldn't be going to Starbucks if that were the case). However, we have consistently gotten good service and product at other nearby stores; these are problems specific to this particular store. I frequent this location a couple times a week (granted, there's normally a week a month that I don't even go into the plaza that it's located in); I typically choose the drive thru option, and I'm never disappointed. The order screen is easy to read, the sound quality is clear but with a friendly barista at the other end to boot. As of lately, I've been utilizing the mobile app for ordering and I've never had an issue with that at this location. Best drive-thru SBUX in the area. I always have excellent customer service. I came thru last night and asked if Starbucks offers a discount for using a reusable travel mug -10 cents was the answer. This was disappointing to me, considering Spot offers 99 cents off any drink for using a travel mug! The drive-thru attendant shared my opinion and indulged me by sharing her own opinion and offering solutions, such as bringing in my cardboard coffee cup sleeve for an additional 10 cents off. Awesome customer service my fiancé was not sure what's he wanted and she prefers to try things before she buys them and she eyed up this green tea frappichino but was not sure if she was going to like it and they allowed to her to try it and if she didn't like it they said they would absolutely make her something else. This is a teeny-tiny location, made even smaller in the winter because you lose outside seating. However, they're the only drive-thru 'Bucks that I know of in the area which is probably why they're able to stay so small. I've only ever been here in the early afternoon, not during peak hours so I can't tell you if they need more seating or not. Still, I've always had my choice of seats and I actually enjoy the small space for the extra coziness. The staff has always been extremely friendly and attentive - I definitely feel like they're listening to my order and making sure I'm having a good customer service experience. On top of that, they move quickly! Just a few more reasons to go to this location: they're on the way to the Regal and shopping locations further up Transit, so it's a perfect place to stop and re-energize. This is more of a public health announcement then review. Well ..both. As I looked in the case for something sweet, I noted a fruit fly landed on the fruit scone. My interest STOPPING there. Note that I had ordered a decaf coffee, was told there was none brewed so I could get a decaf espresso drink instead! Not what I wanted but ok.. Back to food case. Upon closer look I realized that the entire case was FILLED with very large fruit flies on every piece of food in the case. I am not exaggerating this at all. It was absolutely disgusting!!
